Playtest Update: corporate disasters and productivity targets
More corporate problems for the horde Since Friday's Shape the Horde update, several more Playtest builds have landed. This post covers only what has changed since those patch notes. New threats and questionable opportunities The Change Manager is a new horde specialist that commandeers a large group, rallies it on a reachable flank, then sends it back toward HQ from a new angle. Kill the caller to break the rally immediately. Apex Precision may select your branch for a complimentary prototype trial. The installation occupies real space, contributes almost nothing, then fails catastrophically. Its warning gives you time to protect nearby structures or exploit the blast and crater against the horde. Unlock Rapid Results Program to receive Dax's Burst Productivity challenges during large waves. Beat a 60-second live-combat target for a small Operating Cash bonus, or miss it and receive Dax's considered professional feedback. Stronger walls and clearer progression Four new wall passives can add maximum health, slow regeneration, retaliation damage against chewing zombies, and a partial refund when a wall is destroyed by damage. Ability unlocks no longer carry an additional corporate-rank gate. The redesigned turret inspector leads with upgrade effects, prices, requirements, signature upgrades, and the selected turret's lifetime kill count. A clearer command deck Damage numbers use stable lanes to remain readable in dense fights. The turret combat report now has a dedicated command tab, wave forecasts remain visible during bosses, and Airstrikes briefly open a live wing-camera feed without taking over the main camera. The SHIFT KPI panel shows clearer progress, claim-ready counts, and available Equity upgrades. Automated Reporting now claims completed KPIs automatically. Workstation Preferences supports UI scaling through 200 percent, with broader controller-navigation cleanup throughout the HUD. Terrain and reliability fixes Artillery pits now require three impacts to ...Read full article on Community Announcements (Hiddeknight)Patch NotesOfficial
All Hands Playtest Update: Shape the Horde
This is a big Playtest update focused on giving you more ways to shape the horde, clearer battlefield information, and a much friendlier first shift. Greenfield is now an interaction playground Greenfield maps now contain ten kinds of mechanical rural landmarks: Duck ponds Irrigation ditches Blackberry brambles Compost pits Cattle paddocks Manure lagoons Pumpkin patches Apiaries Topiary mazes Orchard presses These landmarks can slow, redirect, bunch, trap, launch, or otherwise interfere with zombies. Heavy enemies resist some effects, while used landmarks leave persistent aftermath instead of quietly resetting. Farms, orchards, ditches, mud, toys, and other landmarks now follow terrain deformation. They survive or break in ways that reflect what happened on the battlefield. New ways to redirect the horde Allocorp Forced Distribution is a new baseline turret available in every fresh Career. Aim its industrial fan during placement to push light zombies toward alternate routes or environmental hazards. Heavy zombies barely move. Allocorp Spin-Off is a new Career-gated displacement turret. It captures a bounded group of zombies, spins them clockwise, then dispatches them in the direction you selected during placement. Better building and battlefield information Hold V, or pin the new HUD control, to inspect every turret's firing coverage together with the incoming route. The next-wave route remains visible throughout Urban Redevelopment, then fades cleanly when operations begin. Press Ctrl+Z within five active-play seconds to undo your latest turret placement for a full refund. The timer pauses during Tactical Pause. Open the new turret combat report to compare delivered damage, active-wave DPS, and kills by turret type. Damage numbers now appear in world space, scale naturally with camera distance, and emphasize meaningful hits. They can be disabled in Display settings. Career and upgrade improvements Every turret upgrade level now offers two clear, cumulative choices....Read full article on Community Announcements (Hiddeknight)AnnouncementsOfficial
