About this game
Dead Stadium: The Extinction Protocol is a single-player zombie arena shooter where you can fight in first person or third person inside a stadium turned survival zone. Survive escalating waves, collect coffee (cash) from fallen enemies, buy from over 90 upgrades, and push your survivor as far as possible before the stadium takes you down.
This is a fast, wave-based PvE shooter built around movement, positioning, reload timing, weapon choice, upgrade decisions, and surviving the pressure of a growing horde. Every weapon has a role, but once the stadium starts filling with zombies, every missed shot and risky shop decision can matter.
Between waves, spend your cash in the shop to shape your run. Stack damage, attack speed, critical hits, armor, health, lifesteal, movement speed, pickup range, regeneration, luck, and more. With more than 90 upgrades available, each run gives you new ways to build your survivor and chase a better score.
Higher difficulties push the horde harder, faster, and meaner for players who want the stadium to fight back.

Dead Stadium Is Getting Bigger
The release date for Dead Stadium: The Extinction Protocol is now set for October 27, 2026, and the game is officially registered for Steam Next Fest: October 19-26.That gives us a clear mission: build the strongest possible demo, polish the core survival loop, and make the stadium feel more alive, more dangerous, and more rewarding to come back to.Over the last stretch of development, a lot has changed. The weapon system has been rebuilt around safer low-poly weapons, with a full armory wall where players can buy and swap guns during a run. The game now has a bigger arsenal, clearer weapon identities, and better groundwork for long-term upgrades and progression. The stadium itself is also becoming more important. The lights, jumbotron, crowd, armory, and band are all being pushed toward one goal: making the arena feel like a place you survive inside, not just a flat map with enemies on it.I’ve also been experimenting with bigger horde behavior. Not just individual zombies walking at the player, but waves of enemies that create pressure, flow through the stadium, and eventually make the battlefield feel like it is changing under you. Some of that tech is still experimental, but it is shaping the long-term identity of the game: zombie siege, impossible hordes, and an arena that gets more chaotic the longer you survive. There is also a new soundtrack direction being tested. Instead of only using fixed background music, I’m working on a system where players can unlock instruments, sounds, chants, and stadium audio pieces to build their own run soundtrack. The band on the jumbotron is not just decoration anymore. It is becoming part of the game’s personality. And yes, something bigger is being prototyped behind the scenes.I do not want to promise too much too early, but the game is being built with the future in mind: shared chaos, coordinated survival, and the feeling that surviving the stadium does not have to be a solo act forever. More on that when it is ready to show p...Read full article on Community Announcements (speedymarathon1)
