About this game
A murder has been committed. Can you solve it?
SusDoku blends the satisfying logic of sudoku with classic murder mystery deduction. A victim has been found — your job is to place suspects into rooms using clues, find the weapon used, eliminate the impossible, and name the killer before you run out of chances.
How it works
Each case procedurally generates a grid of rooms and a group of suspects. Clues restrict where everyone can be. Place them correctly, locate the weapons, interrogate the suspects, and make your accusation. Every deduction is yours—no guessing, just pure logic.
Two case variants
Fast — The victim shares a room with a suspect. Find the weapon used, find the room, discover the killer and the victim. Classic Sudoku logic featuring mechanics inspired by the famous Zebra Puzzle (Einstein's Riddle).
Evidence — Several weapons are hidden across the map. Investigate the furniture and locked cells to uncover them. Only after finding all the weapons and interrogating the suspects will you be able to solve the case.
Play your way
Single-player — Solve cases at your own pace with no time pressure (or set a timer for a real challenge).
Local co-op (pass & play) — 2–4 detectives take turns on one device. Each detective keeps their clues private in a personal dossier, then shares deductions with the team. Placements start as color-coded proposals; a second detective must confirm each mark.
Online co-op — Play with friends anywhere via Steam lobbies. Just share the room code and solve together.
Features
Procedurally generated cases with selectable themes (space station, mansion, cruise ship, brunch café, casino) and three difficulty sizes (7×7 easy, 9×9 medium, 11×11 hard).
Case timer with adjustable limits.
Manual deduction mode: cross out any cell yourself.
Full controller support: Navigate every menu and solve every case with a gamepad.
Furniture panel showing every object, orientation, and footprint in the current case.
Progress history and replay by seed for your favorite cases.
Interface in English, Spanish, German, Russian, Portuguese and French.

Update 04/08
New Features and Improvements UNDO: Added the ability to undo the last action performed on the board. DETECTIVE’S NOTES: Improved their visual presentation to make them easier to read and display more notes at once. HIDDEN EVIDENCE: Fixed the reveal system so players no longer need to cross out every other possible deduction. A hidden weapon is revealed when its square is crossed out and a suspect on the same row or column is correctly placed. If the square already had an X, the weapon is revealed automatically when the relevant suspect is correctly placed. Weapons located on blocking objects do not require an X and are revealed when a suspect on the same row or column is correctly placed. In Fast Extra’s full-board variant, the hidden victim follows the same rule: its square must be crossed out and a suspect on the same row or column must be correctly placed. In cooperative games, one correctly placed suspect proposal and an X from a single detective are enough to reveal the evidence.Read full article on Community Announcements (Rovart)Patch NotesOfficial
Translations and improvements!
SusDoku Update New Languages Added full German, French, Portuguese and Russian translations. Improved localized UI text, rules and dynamically generated clues across all supported languages. Animations and Visual Improvements Updated character sprites and portraits throughout the game. Improved furniture, weapon and environment sprites across every setting. Added new ambient animations to fireplaces, TVs, slot machines, roulette tables, casino monitors and Space Station equipment. Improved themed doors, lighting and environmental details. Improved the visual consistency and readability of board highlights. Clue System Improvements Furniture can now be selected from the reference menu to highlight every matching object directly on the board. Clues now highlight relevant furniture and valid board cells more clearly. Positive adjacency clues show every valid square directly. Invalid object cells use a red negative highlight when appropriate. Habitable furniture remains a valid highlighted position when it satisfies the clue. Room highlights now ignore crossed cells, blocked furniture and discovered evidence. Room highlights are no longer obscured by rugs or other floor objects. Compound clues now correctly show their own intersection. For example, “sitting on an ottoman in the Cigar Lounge” only highlights ottomans inside that room. Directional and diagonal clues now support board highlights once their related suspect has been legitimately resolved. Relational highlights no longer reveal an answer before the related suspect has been properly discovered. Hidden victims and weapons can no longer be inferred from a missing highlight. Discovered victims and weapons are never shown as valid suspect positions. Crossed or otherwise impossible cells are excluded from positional highlights. Hidden Evidence Fixes Fixed an issue where some hidden weapons could not be discovered if their square had been crossed before the related suspect was resolved. Previously crossed evidence i...Read full article on Community Announcements (Rovart)Patch NotesOfficial
HOTFIX - 22/07
Bug fixesSpace Station: Verified Investigation cases to prevent unsolvable weapon and suspect combinations. Room names: Clues now correctly refer to the Infirmary instead of the ambiguous Medical Bay. Spanish localization: Space Station room clues now consistently use Enfermería. Clue highlights: “Next to a chair” highlights now include adjacent chairs, matching the actual puzzle rules. Furniture visibility: Weapon icons placed over furniture are now partially transparent, making stools, chairs and tables easier to identify.Enhanced door sprites Online Co-opHosts can enable or disable the one-minute individual turn limit from the Case Configuration section. The individual turn limit is enabled by default, but the game remembers if it was disabled in the previous match. Improved the online lobby layout so Case Configuration options remain accessible on lower resolutions.Read full article on Community Announcements (Rovart)Patch NotesOfficial
