About this game
Fight off annoying feathered pests in this addictive arcade shooter inspired by the classics of the 8- and 16-bit era. Explore strange biomes, discover bizarre bird species, earn medals, upgrade your gear and uncover secrets that are probably better left undiscovered.
Pluck Em! is a colorful arcade shooter inspired by the golden age of gaming, when all you needed was quick reflexes, good aim and a healthy disregard for wildlife.
Travel across a world filled with forests, swamps, beaches, frozen wastelands, deserts and places that definitely weren't approved by local authorities. Along the way you'll encounter dozens of bird species, earn medals, unlock new equipment and gradually build a bestiary packed with facts, legends and the occasional complete nonsense.
Because every bird has a story.
Some of those stories are even true.

Then immediately ruin that education by reading a rumor claiming the same bird once robbed a merchant, started a cult or refuses to cast a shadow.
We're not saying these stories are true.
We're just saying nobody has disproven them.

Built With AI. Polished With Stubbornness.
Pluck Em! is an experimental game created almost entirely with AI-powered tools.
Visual assets and code were generated using Moonlake AI.
Music was created with Suno AI.
The gameplay systems, balancing, testing, bug fixing, polishing and thousands of tiny decisions required to transform a pile of generated content into an actual game were handled manually.
In other words:
The AI did the heavy lifting.
The human spent weeks asking:
"Yes, but can you make it less terrible?"
Repeatedly.
One More Thing...
Somewhere in the desert there's a place most hunters never find.
A quiet oasis.
A few palm trees.
A mysterious falcon.
And absolutely nothing strange going on.
Probably.

Night Vision and Exploding Ducks Are Here
We just added Night Vision Goggles and exploding birds to Pluck Em!The goggles help you spot targets after dark, while explosive birds turn one clean shot into a chain reaction of feathers, fire, and very bad news for anything flying nearby.Night hunting just got a lot easier. For you, at least.Read full article on Community Announcements (Hidden Spark Games)AnnouncementsOfficial
Night Mode just got a proper glow-up
Night Mode has been reworked to feel darker, clearer, and much more atmospheric. The old version was simply too hard to read in motion, so I rebuilt the lighting pass to make birds, backgrounds, and important gameplay elements stand out better during night stages.I prepared a quick Old vs New comparison video, with no narration, just the game footage side by side:The new version adds stronger moonlight, clearer silhouettes, better contrast, richer colors, and more readable scenery — while still keeping the proper “night hunt” mood.In short: it’s still dark, but now it’s dark on purpose.Read full article on Community Announcements (Hidden Spark Games)Community & EventsOfficial
Pluck Em! just won Best of Gaming at Runway AI Festival 2026!
"Pluck Em! just won Best of Gaming at Runway AI Festival 2026!"Well, this still feels a little unreal to write.I didn’t start Pluck Em! with some grand plan or huge expectations. At first, I simply wanted to see if I could make a small but competent game — something that would actually be fun to play, and not feel like a messy AI experiment held together with "duck tape".The result turned out to be interesting enough that, after the first feedback from players, I decided to take a shot and submit the game to the AIF 2026 by Runway.Winning Best of Gaming came as a huge surprise, but also as an incredible honor. It is also the direct reason why you are reading these words here, on Steam.I hope Pluck Em! can become an interesting experience for you as well. I’m working hard to turn it into the best game I can, while continuing to use AI tools throughout development — including Moonlake AI, Claude, Suno, and others. To me, this project is also a small example of something I believe in: Sometimes, a good idea and the right tools are enough to create something that would not have been possible otherwise. Not because the tools replace the human mind, but because they can extend it.The human idea and the mechanical tool need each other. And especially the second one, without the first, cannot really create anything good.Huge thanks to the judges, Runway, the AIFF team, and everyone who played, supported, or gave feedback on Pluck Em! so far.Wishlist Pluck Em! and stay tuned — there’s much more coming.Read more:https://aif.runwayml.com/Read full article on Community Announcements (Hidden Spark Games)
