Content notice: This game contains comedic violence including dismemberment and gore presented in a slapstick, over the top style. The player can consume illegal drugs which trigger visual screen effects. The game includes crude sexual humor, innuendo, and suggestive sound effects with no explicit nudity or sexual imagery. Criminal acts including violence and drug use are core gameplay mechanics. The tone throughout is satirical and comedic, similar to games like Postal 2.

About this game

Bash, Loot, Shoot, Progress: The state of Texan is engulfed by a viral zombifying outbreak, and the small fraction of surviving humans are embroiled in civil war. Will YOU be the tie breaker, the one who tips the scales and determines the outcome of this wasteland? If you are up for the monumental task, you will have to struggle, just like everyone else, to achieve an outcome fitting your vision.

Play it your way: Side with any faction, betray everyone, or go full lone wolf. Your call.
Four factions, four stories: Nomads, Survivors, Bandits, and the Military each have their own questline and reputation to win or burn.
Brutal, physical combat: Melee hits land exactly where your weapon is, not where a hidden dice roll says it should.
Guns that punch through walls: Bullets penetrate cover, so nowhere is ever fully safe.
Gore that doesn't hold back: Dismemberment and ragdoll chaos for every kill.
Body part health system: Get shot in the leg and you'll limp. Get hit in the arm and you'll swing slower. Take enough damage to the head or torso, and you're done.
Level up by playing: Smash things with heavy weapons to get stronger, sprint to get faster, take hits to get tougher. No skill trees, just play.
Zombies that actually listen: Gunfire, engines, and loud chaos will pull them straight to you.
Loot, crafting, and survival: Scavenge gear, craft what you need, and manage hunger (and, yes, the other end of that too).
Drive around the wasteland: Cars included.
A world that reacts to you: Dynamic music shifts with the danger around you.
A medium-sized open world: Built for exploring, not for padding playtime.

TexanLand is being built by a three person crew, in development since May 2025. No asset-flips, no ghost studio. Every model, animation, and line of code is made by us. A handful of textures and sounds come from royalty-free asset libraries, but everything else is original work.
Igor — Programming, game systems, assistant 3D model designer, animation, and project lead
Dimitri — 3D models, textures, and story design, general helper
Brian — Secondary game designer, secondary animation design, voice acting and music design
Small team, long term commitment.

Small Update #5 (General Improvements & Fixes)
-Fixed bug where your fists have durability and can break (makes no sense, this is a bug) -Fixed bug where LSD kills you instantly if you're infected due to old code not working with the day night cycle. -Added a vault door into the dam to prevent confusion. -Added a handful of stop signs around the map where they fit. -Added a new way to new game+ without completing a questline playthrough. If you kill 300 zombies or 70 humans in that playthrough, the option will show up. -Added statistics into the stats window for per save zombie and human kills, and per playthrough kills (per playthrough reset after NG+). -Fixed a huge annoying bug where zombies would unaggro as soon as they see you, causing them to do the walk at you, then right back. However, this also causes zombies to stay aggroed to you for longer. -Reduced the amount of health rats get from eating corpses and limbs (they were way too hard to kill at large sizes) -Fixed a very annoying bug where the gun would appear to shoot again after shooting, switching weapons, and switching back to it.Read full article on Community Announcements (MLGpepe)Patch NotesOfficial
Medium Update #1 (New Game Plus & General Improvements)
-New Game Plus has been added. After completing a playthrough, you get the option to initiate NG+. The map resets, but you carry over your stats, gear, and get a lower chance of using ammo (goes lower per NG+ cycle). Zombies get a slight speed boost, and spawn more often. More items spawn. At the moment, the only way to initiate NG+ would be to complete 1 of 4 playthroughs, and if you mess it up, well too bad. (I'll be looking for ways to prevent softlocks in the coming updates) -Added a section into the inventory to see player stats. Shows current held melee damage with skill multipliers. Shows current held gun damage. Shows run speed with skill multiplier. Shows health in numbers. Shows current NG+ iteration. (I'll be adding more statistics into this section in the coming updates) -Some smaller changes: Steam page no longer has the AI content disclosure. All models, textures, sound effect, and animations experienced in game are all genuine. Cars now save properly (before their rotation was always 0,0,0 which made them clip into walls and fly) Slight optimization that reduces stuttering. Weapons now degrade less per enemy hit during the same swing. Changed the cliff texture from a royalty free one to one we took ourselves. You can now sleep on mattresses to change time to the next phase. Car doors no longer collide with the player, which fixes the issue where if you opened the door into yourself the car would fly into nowhere.Read full article on Community Announcements (MLGpepe)Patch NotesOfficial
