About this game
The ritual that was supposed to free your lineage has awakened a dark presence that wishes to end you.
Vigilum is a first-person survival horror game set on a rural estate in medieval Europe. Survive the nights, complete the ritual, outlast the darkness.
THE ESTATE
A rural family property on the outskirts of medieval Europe, surrounded by beautiful natural woodland.
The House - Once the family home, now a base for rest and preparation. Craft materials in the Workshop for sigil casting, eat to keep your energy, or brew tea for a quick remedy.
The Barn - Past the fields, a large wooden structure houses the Alchemy Lab, where herbs are distilled into extracts and potions to gain an edge against what hunts at night.
The Woodshed - An old structure once used by the estate's former matriarch for her craft. Starter materials can be found here. Past it, hidden from plain sight, lies a Shrine she once tended, seeking aid from higher entities.
PREPARE. CRAFT. ENDURE.
During the day, several options are available to manage your resources wisely.
GATHER- Find herbs in the gardens or in the wild. Each one carries a different virtue... or curse.
ALCHEMIZE - Grind and distill your findings in the alchemy lab to brew potions and elixirs that give you an edge.
CRAFT - Convert raw materials into chalk or charcoal, essential for sigil creation.
CAST - Draw sigils during the night to empower yourself or weaken the hunter's grasp.
REST - Sleep to restore energy and replenish your nourishment at home.
Each action takes time. Plan accordingly.
SURVIVE THE NIGHT
Place Vylem, the gemstone of Dreams, on the ritual grounds. At 23:00, the energy settles... the ritual begins. Dr. Hayden arrives at the stroke of midnight. He investigates, adapts, and remembers.
TRACKS - Every room visited, every route taken, every item used. He builds a profile and acts on it.
OBSERVES - Every sigil placed, offering made and herb gathered. He perceives the energies around him and adjusts his awareness accordingly.
COUNTERS - From each encounter, he forms a new approach to better anticipate your moves and hunt you more efficiently.
LEARNS - As each night progresses, he unlocks new abilities to further challenge you. Never settle on one strategy as he will find a way around it.
Survive until dawn for seven nights.

Road to v1.0 - October 4th
v1.0 is coming on October 4th. It's my birthday, and it's also the day the ritual begins in Vigilum. Felt like the right date. Here's what I'm working on:Every book, message and tutorial text will be rewritten from scratch.Completely reworked tutorial, now including the first night.Tutorials rebalanced for immersion: less text on screen, with an optional way to access detailed information when you want it.Dedicated UI for each system (skip time, inventory, archive, and others).Changes based on the feedback I gathered, both from you and from local testing. The night count will likely drop to 5, with Vylem effects becoming more specific and noticeable. The ending sequence, finally.General polish across the board.Early Access gave me exactly what I hoped for: real feedback to make Vigilum a better game. Thank you for that.On my end, I'm also building up work through Coffee Cat Studios and NTK Solutions so I can keep doing this full time. Vigilum's final update is being built in parallel, and after that comes Quark, my Unity framework, along with tutorial videos on YouTube.Plenty to do. See you on October 4th.Read full article on Community Announcements (txmska)AnnouncementsOfficial
