About this game
HORIZON IDLE
Strand a lone ship at the edge of charted space and turn it into a self-running industrial empire. Horizon Idle is a space-themed skilling & crafting idle RPG: commit to one task, automate the rest, and watch the numbers climb — online or off.
Commit to the Grind, One Task at a Time
This isn't a clicker. Choose a single focus — mine raw elements, refine them into advanced materials, research new tech, or send your ship into combat — and every tick earns resources and skill XP. Level each skill from 1 to 100 along a deep, satisfying XP curve, unlocking better actions, recipes, and gear at every milestone. The real game is the decision: what's the best use of your next hour?
Automate Everything
While you focus on the active grind, your infrastructure never sleeps. Build always-on production facilities, run background bounty contracts, and overclock your factories for exponential output. Walk away and come back to a fat offline-progress report — your empire keeps earning while you're gone.
Build the Perfect Ship
Salvage modules from ten escalating combat sectors and engineer the ultimate loadout — kinetic, energy, missile, shield, and the signature Cryo armaments. Combat is a pure auto-battler: no twitch reflexes, every fight is won or lost in the loadout designer before you engage. Hunt zone bosses for rare and unique drops that rewrite your build.
Warp, Reset, Ascend
Cross the threshold and trigger the Warp Core: a prestige reset that trades your progress for permanent Exotic Matter and Warp Shards. Spend them in a branching Mastery Tree, keep your research forever, and return faster and stronger every loop. The first warp is hours away — mastering the full tree is a journey of days.
Numbers Go Up. Forever.
A premium, single-purchase game built for the long haul. No energy gates. No stamina timers. No pay-to-win microtransactions. Just deep, honest idle progression.
Features:
Single-active-task skilling across gathering, processing, research & combat
Real periodic-table elements and a deep crafting economy
Always-on infrastructure automation + background bounty contracts
Ten combat sectors with boss fights, module loot, and the Threshold endgame
Deep ship loadout designer — hulls, shields, and four+ damage types
Warp Core prestige with a persistent Mastery Tree
Generous offline progression — your empire earns while you sleep
Premium & complete: no microtransactions, no energy gates, no FOMO

22 September Update: New Material Icons and the Orders Ledger
A new look for every material Nearly 200 materials have new 3D-rendered icons. Ores, ingots, crystals, circuits, ammunition and artifacts now read as the objects they are instead of flat symbols, and materials that used to look alike are easier to tell apart in the inventory. Orders: set an amount, press Deliver once The Orders board is now a sell ledger. Type a quantity on each line, or hit MAX, and press DELIVER once for everything. No more clicking Claim over and over: returning from eight hours away used to cost more than 150 presses. Fixes The game now shows its own splash screen and icon on launch instead of the engine's defaults. Simplified Chinese text rendered as empty boxes in the shipped build. Fixed. Three research techs in the ore ladder were hidden from the tree. They are visible now. Several mission strings were missing translations in Turkish, Chinese, German and French. The Zone damage readout had a formatting bug. The download is smaller. Test tooling and store artwork that had been shipping inside the build are out.Read full article on Community Announcements (haides)
