About this game
You are about to enter Dracoulous' Castle. And for what? A hefty price on his head! Countless minions, bosses and traps stand between you and him..
As a Shadow Dancer, you will have to coordinate with your duo, the shade. Use it to your advantage:
### Combine your Dash and your Swip/Swap to overcome Bosses!
Use your Dash to position yourself strategically or escape danger, then activate your Swip/Swap ability to instantly trade places with your shade. Timing these mechanical movements perfectly is key to outsmarting and defeating the castle's powerful bosses.
### Avoid enemies' attacks:
Enemies will strike relentlessly. Watch their animations, learn their attack patterns, and use your mobility to dodge their ground attacks and projectiles before they can overwhelm you.
### Deal Big AoE damage to slay your foes!
When you execute a Swip/Swap, it triggers a powerful area-of-effect blast at your new location. Group your enemies together, swap at the perfect moment, and clear the room with massive damage! (Your Shadow will do the same but for ethereal creatures only)
Will it be enough to claim Dracoulous' reward?
In this linear game, you will explore every room of Dracoulous’ castle, fighting waves of enemies and a unique boss in each room! Dracoulous has also set deadly traps between rooms for you to avoid!
You will be able to choose 3 out of 6 talents and change them at any time (just not in combat—Dracoulous is not that generous), allowing you to create 4 different builds to swap between during your exploration!
Master the art of dancing with your shadow to defeat them all!

Shadow Dancers!I know I said I wouldn't do any updates until the October NextFest, but I wanted to share what I am currently working on:A brand new spell for you to use.New Talents (12 in total!).A new progression system: I want players to feel rewarded for killing mobs and bosses even if they get hit. I'm adding an EXP system where leveling up lets you choose a talent. EXP is kept upon death, so no run feels completely wasted.Note: Even if you reach max level and unlock all talents, you'll definitely be stronger, but pure skill will still be required to beat the game. There is a high skill ceiling and a very satisfying learning curve!Redesign of the first room (just the room layout, not the enemies).I have been working on new rooms and, I have to say, I am excited to see you all try them when it releases!Read full article on Community Announcements (TheDevPlombier)Patch NotesOfficial
First Demo Update
Hello Shadow Dancers!I am pleased to announce a demo update. Here is a list of what has changed:Options added to the main menu: You can now access settings in both the pause and main menus.New Options:Voice Slider: You can finally mute Dracoulous while enjoying the rest of the sounds.Invert X/Y: Camera controls are now customizable.Camera Shake: Now optional (On/Off).Sensitivity Sliders: Fine-tune your controls.FPS: Range from 30 to 144.Main Menu: Added a new animation to bring the menu to life.Torches: Completely updated (I wasn't happy with the old ones).Controller Support: Fully playable with Xbox and PS controllers! If you encounter any issues, please let me know.Steam Deck Verified: The game is Steam Deck compatible! I am still waiting for official Valve approval, but it works perfectly as is.Talent Update: The "Ignore All Damage" talent has been replaced with something much cooler! The old one was only useful in very specific situations, leaving you with only a few viable talents. Now, you can create 20 different builds that are all useful and fun to play with.Gordon's Death Animation: Shortened. If you are unlucky and get caught in fire while killing Gordon, you can now wait for the door to open before having to click the "Retry" button.Wall of Fire: Increased movement speed during the second gauntlet.Minor Traps: Adjusted the placement and removed some minor traps in the first gauntletThere won't be any other updates for the demo (unless game-breaking bugs are discovered) until October's Next Fest, where a massive update will be released with plenty of surprises!Thank you for playing and for your support! The Dev PlombierRead full article on Community Announcements (TheDevPlombier)
