🎓 Clearer Dom tutorial The first-run onboarding got a full polish pass: Dom's first hint now waits 2.5s (up from 1s) — a moment of free control before the first tip. Moving the ship with WASD now dismisses the movement hint on its own, no need to click OK — but the bubble stays visible for at least 1.5s first, enough time to read that shooting is automatic. Clicking or pressing a key while a confirm-required hint is blocking the game now shakes Dom's bubble instead of silently swallowing the input. Confirm hints (which pause the game) now look visually distinct from passive hints: a thicker border, a slow glow pulse, and a light dark veil over the world. On the weapon select screen, the grid and CONFIRM button now only appear after Dom's hint is answered, instead of competing for attention side by side. 🛒 More direct demo ending The demo's end screen now has a single Steam button ("BUY ON STEAM"), removing the redundant option that led to the same store page without going straight to the cart. 🛠️ Under the hood Performance optimization in the enemy bullet perpendicular calculation, removing a per-frame array allocation. Good hunting, pilots. 🚀Read full article on Community Announcements (cosmicsurvivor0406)Patch NotesOfficial
v1.3.377
🌌 New scenery across four phases Every decorated phase got new elements, drawn into the usual scenery lottery: METEOR SHOWER: a new asteroid miner decoration, and the electric fence got gear on its tips and more detail on its arc. SHIP GRAVEYARD: a new scrap tug decoration. ALIEN SWARM: alien hive (with its own sprite) and swarm carrier, two new decorations. ENEMY FLEET: orbital shipyard, drawn alongside the station, and battle wreckage as a new decoration. The Interstellar Destroyer also got a new hull, and five full-screen backgrounds joined the per-cycle lottery. 👾 More variety from enemies Enemy bullet shape and trajectory now change every cycle, so dodging never feels exactly the same. The swarm ship also grew 20% bigger. ✨ More visual and audio feedback Getting your first special weapon now comes with a level-up announcement and glow. The soundtrack ducks for a moment when you take damage. Fixed: the ship's aura used to spawn under the hull and vanish on wide ships. Fixed: biome lightning used to stop "boiling" too early. 🛠️ Under the hood Internal reorganisation of biomes, the black hole, stars, and the name overlay, plus automated smoke tests covering ships, phases, weapons, and the meteor shower. Good hunting, pilots. 🚀Read full article on Community Announcements (cosmicsurvivor0406)Patch NotesOfficial
Patch notes v1.3.319
💾 CONTINUE: the campaign now has a save Closing the game no longer means losing your run. At every cycle change — right after the boss goes down — the game stores your campaign and flashes PROGRESS SAVED on the HUD. The menu gains a CONTINUE entry whenever a saved campaign exists. CONTINUE opens the campaign map in RESUME mode: cleared cycles show as filled, the next one is highlighted, and the exact point where you stopped is spelled out. Everything comes back: ship, weapons and their levels, score, energy drain and the run's statistics. A resumed run still counts for the leaderboards. Single slot: each cycle you finish overwrites the previous one. Dying erases the save, and starting a new run asks before wiping it. Campaign only, in both normal and hard mode. 💥 Bosses now die in flames Eight bosses got their own destruction animation instead of the generic flash. The blast starts at exactly the size and tilt the boss had at the moment of the killing hit, and the Interstellar Destroyer's fireball — which used to swallow nearly the whole screen — has been reined in.Read full article on Community Announcements (cosmicsurvivor0406)Patch NotesOfficial
Shots with identity, Campaign map and Critical alerts
🔫 Shots with identity Main shots are now plasma lances that rotate to face their direction, with a flash at the muzzle and on impact. Every ship got its own silhouette: a comet for the LK-15, shards for the ANCIENT ONE, a fragmented bolt for the DEVASTATOR, a rainbow flame for the PRISM-7 and a faceted crystal for the SOMBRA IX. The LATERAL LASER became a ribbon of ions, and the PIERCING LASER came alive with plasma pulses and electric filaments. 🗺️ Campaign map A new screen lays out the campaign's 9 cycles, as a briefing before phase 1 and as a MAP tab on the boss victory screen. Phases light up as you advance, and each boss is only revealed once you've beaten it. 🚨 Critical alerts A looping alarm when energy runs low. An alarm when you drop to your last shield, with the shield module flashing red on the HUD. 🔋 Cleaner energy cores The collectible core is now an animated AA battery, far less intrusive on screen. Its value is read from the bars on the battery: 1, 2 or 3. 🛠️ Performance Stutter-free phase transitions, with every sprite prepared during the loading screen. Much faster entry into a run. Stability fixes between runs. Good hunting, pilots. 🚀Read full article on Community Announcements (cosmicsurvivor0406)Patch NotesOfficial
⚡ Weapons rebalanced — your choice matters again
⚡ Weapons rebalanced — your choice matters again The first weapon you picked used to decide the entire run. Not anymore. Nothing dominates on its own. The ELECTRIC FIELD had its damage and rate adjusted. Forgotten weapons are back in the game. The PIERCING LASER was the best-looking and weakest effect in the game — now it cuts through entire rows. The QUANTUM RICOCHET and TEMPORAL CANNON were rebalanced as well. What sets a weapon apart now is its shape, not its number. Single-target, area, column, utility. None of them is "the best" — only the best for your ship and your phase. 📋 Mission report The end-of-run screen now types out a full report, line by line, like a cockpit terminal: how many UFOs, swarms, ships, meteors and bosses you brought down, plus time, phase and ship. Impatient? One click reveals it all at once. Also in this update The hull impact sound is less harsh at default volume. Stability fixes between runs. Good hunting, pilots. 🚀Read full article on Community Announcements (cosmicsurvivor0406)
