Content notice: This game contains plenty of low-poly violence that would've gotten a game rated 18+ in 1998. Such examples include exploding body parts, mutating and abominable monsters that may be unsettling to some players.

Tobias' Inferno is a third-person mascot survival-horror game, where you are the mascot! Caught up in a zombie situation, you must escape the place you call home, while working with friends familiar, and unfamiliar! Explore a mysterious facility, fight the undead and earn your ticket to freedom!

About this game

Enter the Anthrospire, and witness the horror of man-made life gone wrong. Face abominable monstrosities, solve puzzles and potentially uncover the truth of this facility. Every shot counts, as you survive the gnashing jaws of death that await you in this horrifying experience!

You're Tobias Moradosaurus, one of the many mascots enclosed in the top-secret Anthrospire Research Facility, who finds himself (and his friends) caught up in a zombie situation. With limited resources, Tobias must work with his friends to find a way out of the Anthrospire without becoming zombie chow, or worse.

Taking heavy inspiration from the golden era of survival horror classics, Tobias' Inferno features pre-rendered backgrounds, fixed cameras and the magic of such classics, accompanied with modern improvements for today's players.

Colourful and Classic Survival Horror

Armed with what you can scavenge, you'll have to endure these man-made monstrosities, should you want to survive. Solve puzzles, fight abominable monsters and potentially find out what had happened for such a terrible mess to be made. Mascots best beware, though: The Anthrospire only gets deeper and deadlier.

Colourful and dark environments fill the Anthrospire, providing plenty of locations to explore. Steal bits from defeated enemies, to trade for upgrades, supplies and exclusive weapons not found anywhere else. Work with your long-time friends, and potentially make new ones! Friends, dead or alive, change your fate. Discover who and what you really are as the story goes on.

Will you and your friends make it out alive? Or just be another batch of names in the obituaries?

Early Preview - Late Lunch, and more

Wahey! It's been 8 days since the exciting (at least for me) launch of the Steam Page of Tobias' Inferno!Late LunchI just wanted to pop in and give you guys an idea of what the game will look like. There's admittedly not much gameplay, as this is just one big cutscene, but I promise to send more action-packed previews, should I make more! Here, you get to see the game's fixed camera system (a technique long abandoned since the early 2000's) with pre-rendered backgrounds and low-poly character models. Some of you might see where the game is inspired off of...!As mentioned, this is an early preview of the game. There are plenty of things I still need to iron out here (especially the lack of characters in the cafeteria... call it a ghost town, ey?)How will the game release? As you might've guessed, Tobias' Inferno is a mascot horror game. And like the usual, it will release chapter by chapter.I will however do things differently.Y'know how most of the time they either make a whole new Steam page or downloadable content that is sold separately? (this is not a jab, I promise)I personally don't like that kind of approach, especially if this involves multiple entirely new Steam apps! It causes clutter, and if going the new Steam page per chapter route, can get pretty pricey- especially if the games don't succeed! Did you know it costs about 100$ USD to purchase a Steam page? This is my personal opinion, however. Don't take it as fact! Anyhow, how I plan to do it...…Chapter 1 will be released as a free demo. When you buy Chapter 2, you buy what will eventually become the full game, all 10 chapters. Chapters will be released as free updates to the full game! Chapters 2 and onward are practically purchased all at once! This is how I've seen a few indie games do it, and in my honest opinion, I think I like this method the most!I promise you, the final product will be awesome! When will Chapter 1 release? That's a really good question... I've no idea yet, but I am currently aiming ...
