Development Update #1
Hey everyone!I post development updates over on X, but I want to be able to share progress here as well. First off, thanks to everyone already wishlisting Sugar Rot. I'm really excited to be able to share it with you. It's been a big labor of love so far. I'm making solid progress on the game, currently working through some of the backend stuff (menus, options, etc.). In previous releases of mine I know this was a weak point, so extra care is being taken to ensure that the UI (and particularly the menu UI) is rock solid.I also wanted to share this screenshot of the game running on my older LCD Steamdeck. We're making Steamdeck and PCs with hardware restrictions a priority.Originally, I was hoping to have the demo completed in time for October's Next Fest event. That unfortunately is no longer a realistic target for things. And with the last few months of the year packed with some AAA releases that could suck some of the oxygen out of the room, an actual demo and release date will likely not be until the end of the year or early 2027. That's all still fluid though - things can change. I realize this update is short and sweet, but sometimes that's a good thing. I'm really excited for how Sugar Rot is coming together and I can't wait to share more in the coming weeks. Thanks again for wishlisting! It means the world.- ChrisRead full article on Community Announcements (ReusableSlinky)
