Overview
Cielvia is a survivors-like action game where you switch between the powers of Light and Dark to survive against overwhelming odds.
Play as Cielvia, a young girl fighting her way through a world overrun by monsters.
Use the Light Form for powerful ranged attacks and the Dark Form for devastating close-quarters combat. Adapt to every situation as you battle hordes of enemies and formidable bosses.
Defeat is not the end.
Gain new powers through battle, create your own unique build, and challenge the trials ahead again and again.
Endure countless defeats, grow stronger with every attempt, and uncover the truth that awaits beyond.

A sentient magical staff.
Wielding the powers of Light and Darkness, as well as the ability to turn defeat into strength, AEGIS serves as Cielvia’s steadfast companion in battle.
At times it changes its form, and at times it offers guidance, leading the young girl through countless trials.
Yet behind its words lies a hidden sentiment that has yet to be revealed.

Here’s the latest development update for Cielvia - Inherited by Defeat -!The Monster Book system we’ve been working on is now complete!The Monster Book allows you to view information about the monsters you’ve encountered throughout the game.However, defeating a monster once won’t reveal everything there is to know about it.・Defeat the monster ・Acquire an ability from that monster ・Develop the acquired abilityAs you continue playing and progressing through the game, more information will gradually be unlocked in the Monster Book.Collect Monster Cards!Once certain conditions are met, monsters will also have a small chance to drop Cards.Collecting a Card unlocks more detailed information about that monster, including its ecology, background, and lore!One of the core themes of Cielvia - Inherited by Defeat - is overcoming defeat by inheriting abilities from the enemies that defeated you.We designed the Monster Book to expand on the idea of learning about your enemies, not only as part of the strategy and progression, but also as a way to enjoy collecting and discovering more about the game’s world.Even after defeating a monster, completing its Monster Book entry gives you another reason to encounter it again, adding another layer of enjoyment to repeated playthroughs!We’re currently working on the individual descriptions and lore entries that will appear in the Monster Book.Alongside development of the main game, we’ll continue polishing features like this that reward exploration and repeated play.We’ll keep sharing development updates as we get closer to release, so be sure to add Cielvia - Inherited by Defeat - to your Steam Wishlist and stay tuned!Read full article on Community Announcements (MomomoGameWorks)
