Stickplosion v0.9.12 — Stability & Spawn Fixes
New Full controller support across menus and play, with an on-screen marker showing where your gun is pointing. Per-player stats: lifetime damage totals and personal bests. A Getting Started panel beside the main menu, with an option to hide it. Healing, reload and damage crates and pickups carry their own glyphs instead of being told apart by colour alone. Bug reports carry the hardware and version details needed to diagnose them, and preserve up to 30 seconds of movement, collision and match state. Fixed Players and bots no longer get wedged on platform corners, pillars or wall edges; a stuck character frees itself within about half a second. Two characters overlapping each other can walk apart instead of locking in place until one of them is shot. Spawns keep clear of map objects and stay inside the arena, so nobody starts a round trapped under a sentry, buried in terrain or outside the world. Crates and barrels sitting on a spawn point are moved aside before the round starts instead of being flung across the map. Terrain reshaped by explosions no longer traps players in the pocket it leaves. A player who falls out of the world counts as dead immediately, so the round ends instead of stalling with one player left standing. Kill planes, map kill zones and out-of-bounds deaths share recent-damager kill credit, preserving scoreboard and achievement attribution. Rejoining after a dropped connection works, and the host hand-off no longer strands the remaining players. Multiplayer exits ask for confirmation, defaulting to Cancel. Guests wait on a safe victory-screen action and see the host's next-round or new-match choice. Spawn assignment samples all authored map points with a shared per-round seed online. Respawns prefer another terrain-clear, unoccupied point. Percentage cards apply to your current values, and the card preview shows what you will actually get, including stats that are already capped. Card descriptions can no longer advertise numbers the game will no...Read full article on Community Announcements (Ghost3po)Patch NotesOfficial
The Last Big Update Before 1.0
Couch play is here Up to four players on one machine, each on their own controller, all in the same arena. Plug in a pad, press a button to take a seat, and go. Player one can stay on keyboard and mouse while everyone else uses controllers — mixed input works. No split screen: this is a 2D brawler, so everyone shares one camera that frames the whole fight, the way it should be. Controllers, properly Right stick aims, left stick moves Left trigger jumps — and it is pressure sensitive. Feather it for a hop, pull it for a full jump Right trigger fires, right bumper places terrain Full pad navigation through every menu Settings > Controls now shows a column per device, so you can see at a glance which controller drives which player Built for handhelds On a small screen the interface no longer expects you to squint — text scales up automatically on Steam Deck, ROG Ally, Legion Go, MSI Claw and friends. There is a slider in Settings if you want it bigger or smaller. Rounds end when they end When a round is over, it is over. Bullets in flight, poison clouds and explosions no longer resolve while the card screen is up, so you can't lose a round you already won. Walking off the side of the map now kills you, as it always should have. Fixes Card duplication exploit closed. Spam-clicking a card banked it once per click Invisible players closed. No more picking a character colour that matches the background Team Deathmatch now requires actual teams instead of quietly behaving like a free-for-all Your saved control bindings no longer get wiped when the game updates Scoreboard, achievements and a long tail of interface text all cleaned up This is the last major update before the full release. If you hit something broken, there is a bug reporter in the pause menu — it goes straight to the tracker with your logs attached, and it is by far the fastest way to get a fix.Read full article on Community Announcements (Ghost3po)AnnouncementsOfficial
Stickplosion v0.8.0 — Controller Support
Controller Support Stickplosion now plays start-to-finish on a controller. Navigate every menu on a pad — no keyboard or mouse needed Play a full match on a controller: move, aim, fire, secondary fire, ability, and reload The Character Designer is fully controller-driven, with an on-screen keyboard (multi-language) for naming your fighter One-tap issue presets in Report a Bug — reporting works without typing a word Also in v0.8.0 Explosive rounds and poison clouds now trigger at every bounce point, not just the final impact Poison clouds are now visible while they linger New "Getting Started" screen replaces the old tutorial — a quick, browsable guide to movement, shooting, terrain, and effects A batch of balance and stability fixes Thanks for playing — and keep the reports coming (there's a one-tap preset for that now).Read full article on Community Announcements (Ghost3po)Patch NotesOfficial
Stickplosion v0.7.54 — Stability & Balance Update
Stickplosion v0.7.54 A stability and balance pass — poison and damage stacking are reined in, and a batch of "I got stuck / I couldn't rejoin" bugs are fixed. Balance Poison rebalanced — lower damage-over-time and shorter durations, so poison builds stay strong without running away with the match. Damage now has a ceiling — stacking upgrade cards can still build a monster, but weapon damage no longer spirals into the millions from repeat picks. Maxed-out stats now flag themselves in the HUD. Fixes No more getting stuck inside the terrain after chains of small explosions — craters are wider and smoother, and anyone buried in the ground is pushed free. Fighters no longer spawn inside each other or halfway into the floor at the start of a round. Fixed getting stuck to a teammate when you overlap. Custom cards are hardened so out-of-range values can't be used to cheese damage or poison. TANK's comeback bonus now scores correctly in team modes. Multiplayer Fixed the rejoin prompt getting stuck in a loop after a crash — a failed rejoin now clears instead of re-offering a dead lobby. Better crash and bug-report diagnostics so we can track issues down faster. Thanks for playing — if you're enjoying Stickplosion, a wishlist and a review help a ton. See you in the arena!Read full article on Community Announcements (Ghost3po)Patch NotesOfficial
Major Update — Smarter Bots, a Full Soundtrack & Multiplayer Polish
Deeper Fights, a Full Soundtrack & Big Multiplayer Polish Since our last major update, Stickplosion has had its biggest run of improvements yet — smarter opponents, a reworked card draft, an all-original soundtrack, and a long list of multiplayer and combat fixes. Here's what's new. 🧠 Smarter Bots — now a 1–10 dial Bot difficulty is a 1–10 slider (was Easy/Medium/Hard/Ultra). Levels 1–5 play like the old tiers; a "Show extreme difficulties" toggle unlocks 6–10. Bots move like people — they commit to moves and ease into direction changes instead of jittering. Superhuman AI (6–10) dodges incoming shots, solves the true projectile arc so lobbed shots land, and drafts upgrade cards intelligently. 9–10 even move faster than you. 🃏 Card Draft Overhaul Full stat preview on every card — current → new (HP, Speed, Damage, Magazine, Reload + advanced stats) with green/red deltas against your live build. Card rarity shown per card, colored by tier. Configurable drafts — picks per win, picks per loss, and how many cards you start the match with. Stats Legend and Character / Weapon / Ability stat grouping so every number is clear. 🎵 An All-Original Soundtrack Brand-new music across menu, lobby, arena and victory — 10 full-length arena tracks that shuffle and cross-fade, with a "now playing" label. Fixed the long-standing bug where music never actually played in shipped builds — it's all there now. 📊 Scoreboard & Clarity Scoreboard — hold Tab in a match or open it from the pause menu. Clearer card numbers everywhere (percentages as %, flat bonuses as values) and honest weapon-swap previews. 🌐 Multiplayer & Combat Polish Rounds start promptly and stay in sync — fixed the round-transition desync ("invisible bullets that killed me") and dropped "ready" signals. Reload bar is now visible to everyone, not just the reloading player. Bouncing bullets fixed — no more tunneling through thin walls or double-bouncing on the same spot. Top-tier bots react to every player's fire in multiplayer...Read full article on Community Announcements (Ghost3po)
