About this game

◆━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━◆
THREE ACTS. TWENTY-SEVEN DESTINATIONS. ONE JOURNEY ACROSS BRAZIL.
◆━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━◆

Brazil has been fractured by the Rupture.

At the center of this impossible world, the Journey Cube rearranges regions, challenges and encounters with every attempt. Choose one of five fighters, build your route and cross three complete acts in a 2D action-platforming campaign where dark fantasy, folklore and Brazilian satire collide.

Every decision reshapes the journey. Every fighter transforms the battle. Every face of the Cube may reveal an opportunity — or something colossal.

◆━━━━━━━━━━ THE JOURNEY CUBE ━━━━━━━━━━◆

Every act contains exactly nine destinations before its Colossus:

✦ 3 regional stages selected from eight fantastical versions of Brazil.

✦ 3 short stages focused on combat, traversal and survival.

✦ 3 events featuring choices, risks, rewards and consequences.

Complete all nine destinations to open a portal leading to that act’s Colossus.

Across the three acts, you will face 27 destinations and three colossal confrontations. Regional stages, short challenges and event variations rearrange the campaign into new combinations of threats and opportunities.

Turn the Cube. Read its next face. Decide how much you are willing to risk.

◆━━━━━━━━━━ BUILD YOUR JOURNEY ━━━━━━━━━━◆

Events and victories award fragments, calibrations, contracts and other resources capable of changing the rest of your run.

Between acts, visit the Journey Shop and turn everything you have earned into new possibilities. Strengthen your strategy, prepare for the routes ahead and decide which risks are still worth taking.

A reward earned early may decide a much later battle. A seemingly safe choice may demand its price before the next Colossus.

◆━━━━━━━━━━ CHOOSE HOW YOU FIGHT ━━━━━━━━━━◆

Five radically different fighters change the pace, reach and way you control the arena.

✦ JUDGE ALEXANDRE — throw a returning hammer and command the earth to carry out your sentences.

✦ GRAVEDIGGER BOLSONARO — reap along the ground and pull enemies into a devastating circular sweep.

✦ METALWORKER LULA — break defenses with heavy punches and set the front line ablaze.

✦ PUPPETEER FLÁVIO — control the battlefield from range with strings, spectral zones and a defensive puppet.

✦ DREAMER RENAN — race through stages on a high-speed tiger while gathering the blessings of a fairy.

Every fighter possesses signature attacks and two Awakenings capable of transforming survival, mobility, reach, damage and strategy.

There is no definitive hero. There is only the fighter that matches the way you want to play.

◆━━━━━━━━━━ COMBAT THAT REWARDS MASTERY ━━━━━━━━━━◆

Attack without thinking and the enemy takes the arena. Read the threat, control the space and choose the right moment to take it back.

✦ Ground and aerial attacks, combos, charged strikes and area attacks.

✦ Knockback, posture breaks and crowd control.

✦ Perfect dodges that prepare stronger counterattacks.

✦ A D-to-S combat rank for players who maintain pressure without losing control.

✦ Double jump, wall jump and mobility built for fast combat and traversal.

✦ Bosses and Colossi with signature tells, phase changes and punishment windows.

Every strike has a purpose. Every opening can decide a battle.

◆━━━━━━━━━━ A FANTASTICAL AND UNPREDICTABLE BRAZIL ━━━━━━━━━━◆

The Amazon, Bahia, the Federal District, Minas Gerais, Pernambuco, Rio de Janeiro, Rio Grande do Sul and São Paulo become dark fantasy regions filled with unique hazards and identities.

Cross impossible forests, mechanical cities, submerged ruins, canyons, waterfalls and monumental arenas. Face folkloric creatures, machines, anomalies, beasts and bosses that transform Brazilian symbols into fantastic battles.

Music, ambience and sound effects evolve through exploration, events, tension, combat and boss encounters, giving every destination its own sonic identity.

◆━━━━━━━━━━ THE COMPLETE JOURNEY ━━━━━━━━━━◆

✦ Three complete acts, each ending with its own Colossus.

✦ 27 destinations in a complete campaign: 9 regional stages, 9 short stages and 9 events.

✦ Eight Brazilian regions within the shifting route pool.

✦ Five playable fighters and ten Awakenings.

✦ Full access to the Journey Shop between acts.

✦ Events featuring different choices, risks and rewards.

✦ Souls, contracts, fragments, calibrations and complete progression.

✦ Additional difficulty levels for players seeking more demanding journeys.

✦ Regional bosses, three Colossi and the complete range of stage and event variations.

✦ Keyboard and mouse support plus full controller support through Steam Input.

◆━━━━━━━━━━ WILL YOU BE THE LAST BRAZILIAN? ━━━━━━━━━━◆

Your fighter defines the battle.
Your route defines the danger.
Your decisions reshape the journey.
Your skill decides who reaches the end.

The Cube is complete. All three portals are open. Cross the Rupture and discover what awaits at the end of the journey.

    Readability and Quality-of-Life Update

This update grew out of the first public feedback received for The Last Brazilian. We appreciate the direct review: it helped us identify issues that were affecting readability and the opening minutes of the game.READABILITY AND INTERFACE• We increased font sizes and improved text contrast.• We reorganized the Soul Market and event panels so titles, descriptions, levels, and costs each have their own space.• We fixed text that extended beyond button boundaries or overlapped decorative elements.• We improved the readability of information on the character selection screen.• Pending destinations now use a neutral presentation. The green color and “OK” marker appear only after a destination is truly completed.JOURNEY AND CUBE• Every new journey now begins with three lives.• The first two defeats return the player to the Cube without erasing journey progress. The journey ends only after all lives are lost.• A new game now begins with character selection before moving to the Cube.• We fixed cases where destinations could appear completed after cancelling a stage, returning to the menu, or reloading the game.• The Cube now clearly displays act progress and remaining lives.GAMEPLAY• We adjusted jump and fall speeds to make movement more responsive.• We limited the Dreamer’s repeated aerial movement so the attack can no longer keep the character flying across a stage.• We fixed the Main Menu button in the pause screen.• We corrected movement and fall-recovery problems in affected stages. This update focuses on clarity, consistency, and respect for the player’s time. We will continue following community feedback and improving The Last Brazilian.Thank you for playing and for helping us make the game better.— Estúdio Coração

A Bigger Journey: Three Acts, Colossi and the Soul Market

The Brazil you knew was only the beginning. The Last Brazilian has changed substantially since our last announcement. The old eight-stage campaign has grown into a broader journey featuring three acts, special encounters, permanent progression and Colossus battles that take combat to an entirely different scale. The eight regions remain part of this fantastical Brazil. They now connect to new challenges and decisions that make the journey more than a sequence of battles. Here is what has changed.◆ The Journey Cube: three acts, new decisionsStage selection now revolves around the Journey Cube. Each act contains nine destinations, combining regional stages, short stages and events. Complete all nine destinations to open the path to that act’s Colossus. The cube is also part of your strategy: you begin with one rotation per act and can earn permanent upgrades that expand your options.Deciding when to rotate, which opportunities to take and how to strengthen your combatant becomes part of preparing for the battles ahead.◆ Three Colossi. Three forms in every battle. Each act now ends with a dedicated encounter featuring its own setting, attack patterns and transformations.Act I: a towering Colossus that threatens you throughout the approach and changes the scale of combat.Act II — Marshal Deodoro: stone streets and a setting inspired by Brazil’s republican period, with an opponent who specializes in ranged attacks.Act III — Getúlio Vargas: a more urban, industrial Brazil, with powers inspired by radio, industry and centralized authority.Every encounter has three forms. The colossal form requires you to reach and strike weak points; subsequent transformations change the pace and demands of the fight. In the final act, even a presidential automobile enters the battle. Expect area attacks, mounting pressure and an especially aggressive final form. These historical figures and themes are reimagined within the game’s fictional fantasy universe.◆ The Soul Market is openThe shop is no ...
