Content notice: StoryForge is a text-based narrative experience, and its content is generated as you read, so what appears depends on the genre you choose and the choices you make. Adventure sagas contain fantasy violence and peril, including combat and descriptions of injury or death told in prose. Romance sagas contain romantic and non-explicit sexual themes; intimacy may be implied but is never depicted explicitly. Content across genres may include mild language and references to alcohol in keeping with its settings. StoryForge does not contain explicit sexual content, graphic gore, depictions of sexual assault or non-consensual situations, self-harm, or substance abuse as subject matter. Story generation runs within safety guardrails designed to keep content within the bounds of literary fiction.

About this game
StoryForge is a serialized novel with you at the center of it. You create a protagonist, step into a living world, and read a saga written around the character you made and the choices you make. Each episode arrives like the next chapter of a book that exists only for you.
A story that actually remembers The people you meet, the threads you follow, the decisions you make, they stay. StoryForge holds continuity the way a careful novelist does, so characters don't forget who they are and the plot doesn't quietly contradict itself. The longer your saga runs, the more it knows you.
Talk to the people you meet The characters in your saga aren't set dressing. Pull any of them aside and have a real conversation, ask what they know, press them, or simply get to know them. What passes between you carries back into the story and is remembered, so the people in your world feel like people.
Prose worth reading This isn't generated filler. StoryForge is built to write real, literary prose, the kind you'd actually want to sit and read, with a voice closer to a published novel than a chat window.
Your choices shape the story You aren't picking from a menu of outcomes. You guide your protagonist, and the saga bends around what you do, moving toward payoffs you earned rather than ones it handed you.
Read at your own pace Read your saga episode by episode, at whatever pace suits you. Come back to it whenever you like.
Choose your world Step into medieval fantasy adventure or a romance saga, each written to what readers of that genre actually want.
Yours, and private Your saga is yours. The app reads it so it can remember it. No one else does. Your story stays private to you.
Create a character. Make the first choice. See where your story goes.
A note from the developer
StoryForge is built and run by one person. That means there's no committee between your feedback and what happens next: I read what readers tell me, and I act on it. I'm not here for a launch spike, I'm here to keep building this for years. If something doesn't land, tell me. I'm listening.

An Important Update on StoryForge's Development
To everyone who has created a saga, played through an episode, or taken the time to explore what StoryForge can do: thank you. Your stories, your experiments, and your feedback are what make this project worth building.I want to share an honest update on where development is headed.I build and maintain StoryForge on my own. The engine that currently powers the game, which I'll refer to as v1, has carried the experience this far, and I'm genuinely proud of what it has made possible. But it has reached its limits. As the game has grown, fixing or improving one part of the v1 engine increasingly risks creating problems elsewhere. Continuing to patch it has become slower and less reliable than the game deserves. For that reason, I have started building a new foundation: the v2 engine. This is a ground-up rebuild focused on stability, quality, and maintainability, so that improvements can be made cleanly and with confidence, without destabilizing the rest of the experience. When it is complete, your sagas should be more consistent, higher quality, and far better supported going forward. In the meantime, StoryForge remains fully playable, and your feedback matters more than ever. Please keep submitting bug reports for any issues you run into. Many problems that are difficult to resolve on the current engine are expected to be fixed by v2 directly, or to become much simpler to address once the new engine is in place.Thank you for your patience, your creativity, and your continued support while this work is underway. It will be worth it.Read full article on Community Announcements (StoryForge)Patch NotesOfficial
What's New in the Realm - Steam Update 0.1 · August 2026
Vaults. You can now tuck a saga away behind a 4-digit PIN, so it doesn't show in your library on a shared screen. Set a name and a PIN from the saga menu, and it slips out of sight until you enter it. It's privacy from a passing glance, not a lock and key, so keep your PIN somewhere safe, there's no self-reset. Vaulting a saga also quietly retires any share link it had.A new library. Your account page is now a proper home for your stories. Each saga sits on its own card, your credits and the option to add more are right where you'd look for them, and the whole place carries the same candlelit warmth as the reading screen. It's yours, and it should finally feel that way.Names that carry color. As your saga grows, the names of the people in it begin to take on color, drawn from what they are to you. An ally reads one way, someone closer another, and the bond deepens the color as it deepens in the story. Tap a name to see how they stand with you, with more of what your character knows about them coming soon. It builds as you read, so a new saga starts plain and gathers color with time.More voices at the table. When an episode ends, you'll now see more of the people who were there in the scene, anyone standing nearby is someone you can turn to and speak with.A little help finding your voice. New to writing your own path? There's now a quiet note at the input the first time you write, showing how the Realm reads what you type. Wrap an action in asterisks or (parentheses) and it lands word for word; write plainly and the Realm takes it as intent. Small thing, but it opens the door for anyone who wasn't sure how to begin. And things are smoother throughout, cleaner on touch, tidier on the reading screen, so the story stays where it belongs and everything else gets out of the way.On the horizon.A couple of things being built for you:Knowing your cast. Tapping a name will soon show more than how they stand with you, a fuller picture of what your character has come to know abo...Read full article on Community Announcements (StoryForge)
