About this game
⚡ Two Buttons. Relentless Speed.
Remember the thrill of cutting down hundreds of enemies with just two fingers? I've reawakened that feeling — and built a roguelite around it.
No tangled controls. Just two buttons standing between you and the horde closing in from every side. Beneath that dead-simple input lies a razor-sharp battle of timing that pushes your reflexes to their absolute limit.
Your hands react before your mind can catch up. Kills erupt across the screen, and the dopamine hits fast. One run in, and "just one more" becomes impossible to resist.
🎨 Directed by an Award-Finalist Eye
The art in this game comes from the art director behind a Steam Awards "Outstanding Visual Style" finalist — that same proven eye, now poured into a single, focused experience.
Every action is brought to life by silky-smooth 2D sprite animation, rendered frame by frame with a touch of retro pixel soul. Every slash, dodge, and takedown unfolds like a moving illustration.
🎲 A New Build Every Run — Roguelite at Its Core
No two runs are ever the same. The builds you choose mid-run completely reshape your abilities, turning every attempt into a fresh fight.
- Weapon Fusion — Combine the weapons you find on a run to unlock entirely new powers.
- Relic Unlocks — Collect and unlock relics between runs to gradually shape your own playstyle.
The real fun begins the moment you discover your perfect build among countless combinations.
👤 Made by One Pair of Hands
Every piece of this — the feel, the fluid animation, the ever-shifting builds — was crafted by a single developer. Experience what one person's obsession can build.

Bug Fixes- Fixed an issue where the HUD and the result screen were displayed larger than intended on wide displays such as 21:9 and 32:9.- Fixed an issue on super-ultrawide displays such as 32:9 where areas outside the background were exposed and enemies appeared on-screen. The visible horizontal range is now capped at 21:9.- Fixed an issue where the highlight scaling on the Options screen was smaller than on every other screen.- Fixed an issue in Yes/No confirmation dialogs where hovering "Yes" left the default "No" highlighted at the same size. Steel Maiden - Patch 0.1.1
Summary — This update targets the two things that hurt a run most: enemies that stopped behaving like enemies, and scores that didn't reflect what you actually pulled off. Alongside those fixes, the counter's reach has been extended so that going for the risky read finally pays what it should.FixesTracked down and removed the cause of enemies freezing in place, resolving cases where they stopped moving entirely or spawned far slower than intended.Fixed Heaven or Hell's kill multiplier not being applied to leaderboard records.Fixed a freeze that could occur when Hoero! JigokuZanmato activated during a boss fight — its activation and boss QTEs can no longer overlap.BalanceCounter range increased from 4 to 8. The old reach was short enough that the reward never justified the risk.Known IssuesNo win/lose presentation plays after a stage ends.On Steam Deck, the screen must be tapped once before play can begin.UI scales up excessively at 32:9 resolutions.Read full article on Community Announcements (Keicee)
