Swoop is a "shedding-style" card game where the goal is simple: be the first to get rid of all your cards. Play from your hand and your face-up tableau onto the center pile. But there's a catch—you can only play a card of equal or lower value than the one on top! Can't make a legal play? You must pick up the entire discard pile, adding a mountain of cards to your hand. Uncover your face-down "mystery cards" and decide when to risk a blind play.
Master the art of the SWOOP! By playing a powerful 10 or Joker, or completing four of a kind, you can clear the pile and immediately play again, turning the tide of the game. Swoop Update: UI & Layout Enhancements Now in Public Beta!
Hello everyone! Based on the fantastic feedback we've received from the community, we have put together an update focused on improving game flow, readability, and interface layout. This update is now live on our public beta branch for both Windows and Mac players. We would love for you to try it out and let us know what you think before we push it to the main live game! What’s New in this Update: Circular Seating Layout: Opponents are now arranged in a clear clockwise order (Left, Top, Right) to match turn progression, making the round much easier to follow. Opponent & Hand Info: Player names and hand counts are now displayed cleanly directly above their cards. Repositioned Center Pile Info: The center pile message has been moved to the side of the play area to prevent card overlays during gameplay. UI Scaling for 4K / High-DPI Displays: Text sizes and buttons now scale programmatically on high-resolution screens so they are easy to read. Dedicated Exit Button: Added a dedicated Exit Game button in the top-right corner to exit the client cleanly. ────── How to Access the Beta Branch: Right-click Swoop in your Steam Library and select Properties...
