About this game

■ Game Introduction

A catastrophic collapse split the ancient immortal world into countless fragments drifting through the empty void. Your starting island erodes endlessly, and only the Core of Shards can halt its annihilation. To survive, you must scout remote isles, open void portals, defeat island lords and absorb their territory and resources. As you gather more world shards, the hidden truths behind the apocalypse gradually surface, pushing you toward the ultimate goal: mending the fractured heaven and earth and reforging a whole immortal world.

■ Core Gameplay Features

Real-Time Five-Element Combat
Master the spells of Gold, Wood, Water, Fire and Earth, enhanced by Lightning, Ice and Wind variants. Each cultivator can only wield the element of their nature, but with six freely combinable skill slots — area attacks, single-target executions, imprisoning fields and more — you forge your own combat style.

Nayin-Blessed Disciples System
Recruit over thirty types of disciples inspired by traditional Nayin five-element astrology, each with innate traits and unique passive talents. The hero is immortal thanks to the Core of Shards, but a disciple who falls in battle won't return on their own — only a rare resurrection pill can bring them back, making every expedition a life-or-death choice.

Customizable Immortal Sect Building
Develop your floating base by raising scripture pavilions, alchemy labs, forges, spirit-gathering arrays and training arenas. Build out your production chain, craft your own artifacts and elixirs, and unlock the island-steering formation to sail your entire island toward dangerous, resource-rich regions.

Four Distinct Endgame Dungeons

  • Demon Tower — climb nine layers where beasts grow stronger with every floor.

  • The Abyss — descend into the depths where the ultimate boss and world secrets await.

  • Ancient Labyrinth — a randomly generated map full of mechanisms to solve in search of ancient treasures.

  • The Grand Tournament — a 32-competitor single-elimination bracket to crown the strongest cultivator of the void and claim exclusive titles and rare rewards.

Fragment Lore Unlocking
Every conquered island unlocks a piece of the forgotten past. The memory shards scattered across the dungeons gradually piece together the truth of the apocalypse, the origin of the Core of Shards and the secret behind the fall of the ancient immortals.

■ Core Survival Pressure

The void corrodes your floating islands without pause: their stability steadily drains, and at regular intervals every island on the map resets its position. Standing still leads only to collapse — constant conquest, expansion, shard-collecting and strengthening your sect are the only way to fulfill your destiny of remaking the immortal world before everything sinks into the void.

Add Otherworld Shards to your wishlist, guard your drifting homeland, and reshape a whole new immortal world from countless scattered shards.

Otherworld Fragment Dev Log #05:Perilous Path — The Four Secret Realms & Trials

Otherworld Fragment Dev Log #05:Perilous Path — The Four Secret Realms & TrialsFloating Islands are your daily routine. Secret Realms are the climax. This update covers our dungeon design forOtherworld Fragment: four completely distinct trial realms, plus some behind-the-scenes development struggles and fixes.1. Nine-Story Demon Tower — Climb Higher, Grow StrongerA classic progressive tower dungeon. The higher the floor, the deadlier the fiends.Approach the tower and press F to enter. The dungeon adopts a maze layout. Around the center (15m radius), four guardian monsters (such as Striped Spirit Wolves) spawn in four directions.Players advance floor by floor. Clearing each floor rewards rare cultivation techniques and high-tier refinement materials.Dev Note: The Demon Tower exists as a standalone scene (DemonTower.unity). It must be manually added to Build Settings. I’ve repeatedly encountered black-screen issues caused by missing scene inclusion, so this step is now standardized in our workflow checklist.2. Abyss Demon Realm — Dive Into the DepthsContrary to the upward tower progression, the Abyss is a vertical underground realm. The deeper you descend, the greater the danger. A top-tier boss resides at the bottom, guardingkey story clues about the shattered world. All enemy data in the Abyss is configured via a dedicated spreadsheet AbyssDemon.csv. Encoded in GBK with a 20-column layout, it stores every attribute for normal mobs and bosses: prefabs, scale values, skill configurations, movement speed, and more. The first floor even reuses base scene assets for optimized loading.Future Reminder: Do NOT run the old export tool again — it will corrupt the table formatting.3. Ancient Maze — Procedurally Generated TrialsThe third dungeon focuses entirely on randomization. The map layout is procedurally regenerated every run.Players cleanse fiends, solve ancient mechanisms, and hunt for lost treasures. The fun lies not in memorizing fixed layouts, but ina brand-new experie...

Development Log #04: Soaring Through Void — Floating Isle Exploration & ...

Development Log #04: Soaring Through Void — Floating Isle Exploration & Island-Driving Grand FormationYour party is ready. It’s time to venture out. In this log, we cover the game’s overworld system — how you locate, select, and leap to isles across the void, plus the long-polished core feature: the Myriad Worlds Star Map.Near Void: Floating Isles Around Your Home IslandThe closest exploration layer surrounds your main island, serving as your primary early-game resource zone for survival and progression.Every floating island features a unique elemental affinity, level range (1~10), exclusive terrain, and ruling boss, ranging from savage demon realms to ancient immortal ruins. All isles within the main island’s 200m teleport radius can be selected and warped to instantly.Void jumps require no fixed routes. Spend spiritual energy to open a spatial passage and descend instantly regardless of void barriers — empowering aggressive, selective combat and exploration.True to the world’s constant void erosion mechanic, these nearby isles feature dynamic resetting:the entire near-void layout shifts and refreshes every 10 in-game days. Islands you explored yesterday may drift away and be replaced by entirely new terrain, eliminating static farming and maintaining relentless survival pressure.Mid Strategy: Island-Driving Grand Formation — Sail With Your Entire IsleUnlocking the core building Island-Driving Grand Formation revolutionizes exploration. You are no longer limited to waiting for nearby resources — you can navigate your entire main island across the void toward richer, more dangerous hunting grounds.Approach the formation and press F to choose between two core functions:1. Isle NavigationEnters a free-rotating orbital camera view for tactical positioning. After confirming your target direction, the system clears the old surrounding isle layout and spawns 5~7 new element-matched floating isles near your relocated main island, tailored to your current progression tier.2....

Development Log #03: Thirty Natal Sounds — Characters, Recruitment & Resonance

Development Log #03: Thirty Natal Sounds — Characters, Recruitment & ResonanceWe’ve covered combat mechanics. This time, let’s talk about characters. Besides your immortal protagonist, Otherworld Shards features a complete party system: 30 Natal Fate Disciples. Why "Natal Sound (NaYin)"?I wanted to avoid generic class templates such as Warrior / Mage / Assassin — they feel far too modern and industrial for a Xianxia world.I ended up adopting the traditional Sixty Jiazi Natal Sounds from ancient Chinese metaphysics. Ocean Metal, Sword Edge Metal, Great Forest Wood, Furnace Fire, Mountain Fire, Stream Water, Roadside Earth… Each name carries unique imagery and destiny, perfectly fitting the ethereal Xianxia tone.I selected 30 Natal Sounds in total — 6 variants for each of the Five Elements — as the exclusive fate types for all recruitable disciples.Every disciple is born bound to a fixed element, innate growth tendencies, and a unique passive talent. This naming system creates vivid individuality. Players won’t simply remember “a green mage” — they will remember their Great Forest Wood disciple.Unique Portraits for All 30 DisciplesTo eliminate generic “clone faces”, I designed a custom exclusive portrait for every single Natal Sound.30 portrait assets are stored in the path: Resources/UI/Character Portraits, named by ID and Natal Sound type.A custom CharacterAvatar parser is built to integrate portraits across 8 core game interfaces:Player character selectionDisciple recruitment panelMemorial Hall (Fallen Disciples roster)NPC interaction interfaceScripture PavilionEquipment menuAbyss Dungeon UIAll character-displaying modulesThis subtle detail builds genuine character immersion. Seeing the faces of your fallen companions in the Memorial Hall delivers emotional weight that pure text can never replicate.Recruitment & Party Switching MechanicAfter recruiting disciples, you can impart cultivation techniques, customize battle tactics, and lead them on void expeditions. One of...

#02: The Flow of the Five Elements — Combat & Skill System

下面是可直接复制的英文版:Otherworld Fragments Dev Log #02: The Flow of the Five Elements — Combat & Skill SystemLast time we covered the core loop of "Devour." This time we're zooming in on the part you actually have to fight for with your own hands: combat.Pure Real-Time. No Turns, No Truce.Let me be clear about the framing first: Otherworld Fragments is pure real-time action combat. Free movement, skill combos, dodging and repositioning — no turns, no ATB gauges. And once a fight starts, there's no negotiating your way out — you have to wipe out the entire enemy garrison and the Island Lord to take the island. The win condition is blunt, too: a fight is only decided when one whole side is "incapacitated" (HP ≤ 0, or knocked into a critically-wounded state).Damage strictly follows faction lines. I was deliberately rigid about this, because it directly determines whether combat "makes sense" and feels fair:Damage only hits hostile targets;Heals / buffs go only to allies;Debuffs like slows and attack-down go only to enemies;Control effects like stuns and sealing formations can affect everyone on the field. The Five Elements: Metal, Wood, Water, Fire, Earth — plus Lightning, Ice, WindThe skeleton of combat is the orthodox Five Elements: Metal, Wood, Water, Fire, and Earth as the five source disciplines, plus three mutated elemental branches — Lightning, Ice, and Wind.Cultivators are bound by their innate natal element — this is a constraint that runs through the entire game: you can only train spells that match your own element (neutral, attribute-less skills aren't restricted). This limit looks like subtraction, but it's really addition: it gives every character's build a sense of boundaries, and it means that when recruiting Nayin disciples and assembling your battle roster, you genuinely have to think about your team's elemental composition (something the "Nayin Resonance" system amplifies later — saving that for #03).Visually, all characters share the same base model, distinguis...
