About this game
It was here before you. It will be here after.
The Dungeon Persists is a top-down, pixel-art roguelike dungeon crawler.
Choose a hero, descend through an endless run of procedurally generated floors,
and see how deep you can go before the dungeon claims you. Every run is
different, but what you learn and unlock carries forward.
Pick your hero
Six classes, Fighter, Barbarian, Wizard, Ranger, Rogue and Paladin, each
with distinct stats, attack feel, a signature mechanic and class-specific
weapons.
Descend forever
Endless procedural floors arranged into themed bands, with traps, chests, safe
rooms and telegraphed boss encounters. Face 24 enemy types including elites,
champions and four bosses.
Build your run
A large pool of weapon upgrades, 16 relics (each with a tier-II upgrade),
gear with enchantments, and consumables let you assemble a different build every
time.
Get stronger between runs
Meta-progression spends runes on persistent upgrades, an Ascension difficulty
ladder for endgame challenge, and 51 achievements to chase.
Four base difficulty levels : Easy, Normal, Hard and Nightmare.

Update 1.0.2
A round of readability improvements and bug fixes across menus, the minimap, and several class abilities. Big thanks to Tuph and Moonbane for the detailed feedback that drove most of these fixes! Menus & Readability Crisper UI text — swapped the faint drop shadow for a clean dark outline on all interface text, and brightened the washed-out menu colors for much higher contrast. Softer CRT over menus — the scanline overlay was darkening rows and chewing up text in menus. It's now suppressed over menus and kept at full strength only during live gameplay. Bigger, scrollable Settings — the whole settings screen now uses a larger font. The Controls tab shows full-size keybinding rows with a proper vertical scroll (mouse wheel and controller-focus auto-scroll) and a scrollbar, so all actions are readable and reachable. Character Sheet Hidden bonuses now visible — several upgrades were working but never appeared on your sheet. Fixed: Power Shot / Overcharged Shot now shows its projectile-damage bonus under Blessings. Steady Aim / Long Shot / Eagle Eye now shows its projectile-range bonus under Blessings. Barbarian unarmed damage (Rage, Iron Fists, Berserker, Brute Force) now shows under Blessings. Barbarian brawler passives (Rising Fury, Sanguine / Searing / Venomous / Crippling Fists) now appear under Disciplines. Minimap no longer covers the sheet — the corner minimap was painting over the Disciplines panel. It's now hidden while the character sheet is open. Combat & Abilities Camouflage Strike no longer wasted — the once-per-floor triple-damage shot was spent even when you fired into empty space. It now only triggers on a shot that actually has a target in its path. Invincibility no longer blocks non-damage traps — i-frames were canceling the Confusion trap too. Only damage traps (Spike, Poison) are ignored while invulnerable; Confusion, Teleport, and Alarm still fire. Wider alarm-trap reach — alarm traps only woke enemies in their own room. They now also alert enemies w...Read full article on Community Announcements (AVD Games)Patch NotesOfficial
