About this game
Take a team from local leagues to World Championship glory.
You're the manager. Build the roster, sign sponsors, balance the books, then watch full matches play out in tower-by-tower detail. Every player has a story — your signing today becomes next year's Worlds MVP, or busts, or gets poached by a richer team in free agency. Every decision counts.
The deepest simulation engine to date.
- Tick-based match engine — 6,800 lines of MOBA simulation: tower destruction, dragon stacks, baron timings, individual player KDA, the works. Every match is a real game, not a coin flip.
- Pick & ban that matters — champion synergy, counters, early/mid/late meta ratings. Your draft strategy actually shapes the match.
- Multi-league seasons — manage in Europe, North America, Korea, China, or any combination of countries and leagues. International competitions stack on top, you can qualify and play through the gauntlet.
- Real finances — sponsor negotiations, prize pools, wage bills, fans dictating your income. Lead your team to financial success or economic ruin.
- Custom rosters — import your own real databases. Uniquely compatible with other similar games supporting JSON.
- Hall of Fame & team history — your team has a story across decades. Legends get inducted. Trophies fill the cabinet. Important players become club icons.
Why MOBA Manager?
- No yearly re-releases. A constantly improving game that continues to receive updates by a passionate solo developer.
- Playable fully offline. Offline-ready, saves on disk, no servers to go down.
Genre roots
If you've ever lost a weekend to Football Manager, Out of the Park Baseball, or Eastside Hockey Manager — this is that, but for MOBA esports. Built by a fan of the genre for fans of the genre.
MOBA Manager is a modernized port of the open-source MobaGM Legacy engine by dumbmatter, licensed under Apache 2.0.

Roadmap & Release
MOBA Manager launches October 15, 2026 It's time. After the playtest journey, updates, and a ton of community feedback, we can finally share the two things you've been asking for: a release date and our commitment to making the game the best it can possibly be. MOBA Manager leaves playtest and launches into 1.0 on October 15, 2026. If you're already playing, thank you! You've shaped this game more than you know. If you're new here: you can join the playtest and try out the game right now! Our Roadmap https://i.imgur.com/r8l2ssj.png Despite having announced when the game will be fully released, the work will not stop. We will continue to release bi-weekly updates until launch, bringing sizable expansions to the game in the process. After that, 1.0 will not be the end, we'll continue to work on more ambitious updates including potentially adding Workshop Support and Multiplayer. Update 1 — DOTA Update The full Dota 2 ecosystem comes online: Heroes instead of champions, the Ancient instead of the Nexus, and its own DPC-style league & tournament structure to manage. Update 2 — Challenges & Achievements A full slate of in-game achievements to chase, plus curated challenge scenarios that drop you into hand-built situations to test your management skills. Update 3 — Training Update Go deeper on player development: hire a coaching staff, send players to grind SoloQ, and schedule scrim blocks to sharpen your roster between matchdays. Update 4 — Academy Update Run an organisation, not just a team: field multiple teams, hold tryouts to unearth talent, and adapt to seasonal champion meta patches that reshape the game year to year. After Full Release — We're Exploring… Ambitions for beyond 1.0. No guarantees on feasibility — but here's where our heads are at: Steam Workshop — community rosters, databases & mods. Steam Achievements — the initial achievement system ships in-game only. Multiplayer — manage against real rivals. Mark your calendars: October 15, 2026. See you on the R...Read full article on Community Announcements (Alagesia)AnnouncementsOfficial
🎉 Playtest is LIVE — install now
The Playtest is live. Install it now. The first public MOBA Manager Playtest is open. If you've already requested access, MOBA Manager Playtest is in your Steam Library — hit Install and you're playing in a few minutes. If you haven't requested access yet: click the Request Access button on this page. Approvals are automatic; the install link appears in your library within seconds. It runs indefinitely. There's no scheduled end date — you can dip in whenever. How to make the most of your time in the playtest Start at Tier-3. Pick a regional team in a smaller league, work your way up. We specifically want eyes on the lower tiers — that's the area least battle-tested. Sim a full season at least once. First Stand → split 1 → MSI → split 2 → Worlds. The whole arc should feel coherent and rewarding. Tell us if any part drags. Try to break the finances. Overspend on sponsorships, dump expensive vets, push wages above the cap. We've added failure conditions that can be turned off at your specifications. Watch a match in real time. Use the Watch Match view to see the sim play out tower-by-tower. If anything reads as a bug (impossible play, broken stat), screenshot it. How to give feedback Leave a message on the Community Hub (this app's Discussions tab) — it's the fastest place for general feedback and bug reports. Quick reminder: wishlist the full game The Playtest is the on-ramp; the full release of MOBA Manager comes later. Wishlisting the main game is the single highest-leverage thing you can do to help launch day — Steam emails every wishlist holder on release, and wishlist count is the biggest factor in whether Steam features the game. Thanks for jumping in. Now go win some Worlds titles. — AlagesiaRead full article on Community Announcements (Alagesia)AnnouncementsOfficial
MOBA Manager Playtest — opens July 1st, sign up now
The first MOBA Manager Playtest opens July 1st. It runs indefinitely. Once you're in, you stay in. What we want you to test This playtest has two specific goals — if you focus your time on these two areas you'll be making the biggest possible impact on the launch build: The full LoL ecosystem. You can start at a Tier-3 regional team and climb all the way to the World Championship. Every region, every promotion/relegation path, every international tournament (First Stand, MSI, Worlds). We want to know if that full career arc holds together — are the lower tiers playable? Does the climb feel meaningful? Do promotions land cleanly? Steam-build performance. The desktop version is brand new. We've been testing internally but different hardware configurations may surface issues we can't reproduce. If you hit anything weird, let us know! What's in it This will be the first version available on Steam, including: Deep tick-based MOBA simulation — towers, dragons, baron timings, per-player KDA, full pick & ban Every regional league + the three international competitions Custom roster imports (compatible with similar management-game JSON formats) Trading Block, free agents, sponsorships, Hall of Fame Multi-split seasons with full history tracking Not into playtests? Wishlist instead. If you'd rather wait for the polished launch, wishlist the main game. Steam emails everyone on the wishlist when MOBA Manager launches, so it's the lowest-effort way to be reminded — and wishlists are the single biggest signal Steam uses to decide whether to feature an indie game on launch day. How to give feedback Leave a message on the Community Hub (this app's Discussions tab) — it's the fastest place for general feedback and bug reports. See you July 1st. — AlagesiaRead full article on Community Announcements (Alagesia)
