About this game
Nobody at the table is safe.
One of you is The Thing. Others may already be infected. Read the room, lie convincingly and watch every card that changes hands — a mandatory exchange can spread the infection without anyone seeing what changed.
NECHTO is a social-deduction card game for 4–12 players that turns one shared screen and private phones into a tense table of accusations. The game handles the roles, hands, turns and rules. Your group handles the bluffing.
One shared screen. Every hand stays secret.
Run NECHTO on a PC or laptop and put it on the biggest screen in the room. Players scan the QR code and use their phones as private controllers: only you can see your role, cards and decisions. No phone app, account or registration is required.

Play together — in one room or across several
Same room: one Steam copy and one PC are enough. Every phone connects to that PC through the same Wi-Fi network.
Remote groups: each location needs its own Steam copy running on a PC. Join the same room with the 4-character code or a Steam invitation, then connect the phones at each location to their local PC.
Connection note: the QR/IP address is local to the host PC. A phone must be on the same Wi-Fi; a remote browser or 4G/5G connection cannot open that local address directly.
Every turn has three phases:
• DRAWS A CARD — take the top card from the deck. Drew a PANIC card? It plays immediately.
• PLAYS — play an action card or discard.
• EXCHANGES — mandatory. Pass a card to your neighbour. This is exactly how The Thing spreads infection.
Three types of cards
Actions — FLAMETHROWER, QUARANTINE, ANALYSIS, TEMPTATION, SHIP'S LOG and 9 more. Each one shifts the balance.
Defense — reaction to someone else's turn. NO THANKS, MISSED ME, FEAR, NO BARBECUE — play it before it's too late.
Panic — drawn instead of a regular card and plays immediately. Can't discard. Can't defend. CHAIN REACTION, OLD
ROPES, FORGETFULNESS — 12 cards of pure chaos.

NECHTO has left Early Access
NECHTO IS NOW FULLY RELEASED Today, NECHTO leaves Early Access. The full version is now available on Steam. NECHTO is a local game of hidden roles, infection, and fragile trust. One computer runs the match on a shared screen, while 4–12 players join from their phones in a browser and receive private roles, cards, and decisions. Built with the crew During Early Access, the infected gained a hidden Hive channel and the humans received four counterplay cards. The deck was rewritten for the deep-space setting, and 37 cards received new animated artwork. The shared screen was rebuilt as a command console. Panic cards now take over the screen as full scenes, procedural asteroids move and collide outside the hull, and key match states have their own animations. The game supports 17 languages and 4–12 players. The host runs on Windows, macOS, and Linux, including Steam Deck. Thank you Player reports helped us find a rare turn deadlock, and thousands of automated matches helped test every table size and close other dead-end scenarios. Thank you to everyone who played, reported problems, argued over cards, and left a review. Leaving Early Access does not mean the end of support. It means NECHTO is now a complete game, ready for your table. Gather the crew. Trust nobody.Read full article on Community Announcements (bigmeco)AnnouncementsOfficial

v1.6 · SHIP SYSTEMS PROTOCOL
THE SHIP IS NO LONGER A BACKDROP In v1.5 we rebuilt the deck. Now the place where it is played has had its turn: the shared screen has a new structure, panic cards have become full scenes, and the space outside the hull follows its own physical rules. One command console Turn phase, active player, event description, pending response, alert level, current card, deck and discard pile now live in one central console. Duplicate bars are gone, cards use their true 5:7 format without empty margins, and the active player node grows in place. There is less instrumentation noise and more of the game itself. Panic takes over the screen A panic card now takes over the shared screen for eight seconds: the signal breaks, a CRT sweep locks in, the animated card appears and a countdown begins. Back-to-back events enter a queue, audio starts with the actual reveal, and the exact panic card remains in the console while its outcome is being chosen. Outside the hull Procedural asteroids have their own size, speed, direction, rotation, facets and craters. They collide with one another and rebound from the ship's real outline. Impacts trigger a flash, sparks and a directional jolt whose force follows the asteroid's mass, while the exterior layer always stays beneath the interface. Ship systems move too Turn, exchange, defense, chain reaction, confession and pause states now have seamless 5:7 animations. Sand runs through the timer, cassettes cross between docks, locks engage, relays ignite and indicator lights continue each mechanism without leaving empty gaps behind moving parts. A new lobby signal The title on the host and phone lobby screens is now part of the terminal: segmented characters, slow scanlines, phosphor glow and a shift from operational orange to emergency red. The layout and collision geometry were checked for every table size from four to twelve, including odd-numbered configurations. The rules have not changed in this update. The ship itself is clearer, more alive and...Read full article on Community Announcements (bigmeco)AnnouncementsOfficial
v1.5 · INTERCEPTION PROTOCOL
THE INFECTED HAVE A CHANNEL The infected are no longer silent. They now have a hidden chat for their whole side — humans cannot see it at all: no button, no hint. The hive The channel is trickier than its own members think. Your name shows only along the infection chain: you know who infected you and who you infected. Everyone else is signed as "ORGANISM-04". You cannot type, only pick a preset line: typing at a shared table is visible to everyone, while a tap is indistinguishable from ordinary play. Nobody knows the size of the hive, not even the infected. Four cards against the hive RADIO SCANNER shows how many lines went through over the last three turns — no names, no content. JAMMER keeps the channel silent for a full round. BLOOD SAMPLE tests your neighbour, but the answer arrives only at the start of your next turn. And SAMPLE SWAP triggers by itself, returning "clean" regardless of the truth. The deck was renamed and redrawn Twenty-three cards changed names and every description was rewritten. Thirty-seven cards got new animated art: each has its own beat — a scanner sweep, magnetic arcs, a claw rising from under the grating. Turns no longer freeze Your review let us reproduce the lock-up when the turn reached a dead player. The counter pointed at a seat, not at a player. Fixed, with a watchdog against deadlocks. Someone at this table has already made arrangements with the others. All that is left is to work out who.Read full article on Community Announcements (bigmeco)
