About this game
A SNES style tactical turn based sci-fi RPG with grid based combat, about two mighty forces clashing in the skies above Earth.
The games focus is on a variety of gameplay, world building, plot, side missions, and character development.
For fans of Star Ocean, Octopath, and classic Final Fantasy.
United Frontier vs. Bhurl

Bhurl, a ruthless mega-corporation that built a legion of space stations orbiting earth and formed their own independent city-state.
United Frontier, an independent group of pirates with a mystery benefactor, their mission is simply... to disrupt Bhurl in every possible way.
Architects of the Universe: The Orbital Wars explores these events from the start of the war, through the heat of the action, and the end of the war... as well an epilogue exploring the cost of such a war.
Learn about the lore of the world and explore the backstories of the eight major characters of the game through optional side quests and dialog.
Early Access Road Map
Finish Act III
Finish planned side content during Act II, namely ISS 2 and random battles.
ISS 2 planned to be a very large area which will be entirely optional. Doing the activities in this area will reveal more of each characters back story, as well as more lore about the world.Incorporate Augments equipment.
Create a HQ pack of uncompressed image/ audio files for higher end PCs to import and use if they so choose.
In an optimization effort all images and audio files were reduced in quality. I can hardly notice a difference, but I would still like to give players the option of using the uncompressed files. Will likely do this when game is finished as a part of 1.0 release.Reduce size of Mariana Base map and separate it into three different smaller maps for optimization purposes.
Add more random dialog and war relevant dialog to civilian NPCs.
Finish in-game achievements as well as integrate Steam Achievements (30+ as of August 2026)
A lot of Steam features, like Achievements and Overlay require augmentation of the game in engine. I've decided to prioritize finishing the game's content prior to implementing these features.

Patch 0.1.9 - Opening Sequence Adjustments!
-Re-worked the opening sequence by refining the way the tutorials are presented, and removing the healing ability from the Station Guard. The original intent of having the station guards heal was to show players how important the Boost system was to the fighting, however it seemed too much information was being thrown at players all at once and many would just keep using default attack without ever boosting or using abilities, which made the opening sequence very slow for them. Rather than force them to try to learn all the mechanics right off the bat, they are still introduced but are not necessary to completely know in the first area. -Created Bhurl Medic, but not yet implemented. The enemy has been created to make a traditional healing character that players will want to target right off the bat when they are seen in a fight. It has not been implemented in the game yet, that will come with 0.1.10.Read full article on Community Announcements (codynstuff)Patch NotesOfficial
Development Update!
Work continues with the game development.Currently the focus is on developing the ISS 2. Even though this is an entirely optional area for the player it is planned to house many side quests and other things that give a lot of background story to the companion characters.Due to the events of Act III, all areas in Act II will become inaccessible once you move on to it.Because of this I have decided to prioritize finishing Act II and its side content before finishing Act III.The attached screenshot is just a small - in editor sneak peak as what it currently looks like. Giving the ISS 2 a more unique look than some of the other stations. Additionally the sprite is the present design for the ISS 2 guards. While the ISS 2 station itself is neutral, how they maintain that neutrality could be considered unethical by some.Thank you all for the support so far, keep giving me feedback so I can incorporate it into the game!Read full article on Community Announcements (codynstuff)Patch NotesOfficial
0.1.8, Bug fixes and more!
Separated Mariana Base map from one large map that was causing freezing on lower end systems to three smaller maps. Added tutorials for the mini-map icons and made the abilities tutorial pop up during the intro combat. Added a message to the Battle Simulator, making it clearer when it can be used for the first time. Sped up new game intro to keep new players more engaged. Fixed Physique Shot increasing Melee Attack instead of Melee Defense.Read full article on Community Announcements (codynstuff)Patch NotesOfficial
0.1.7 - More Achievements!
A fairly light patch, I simply added more achievements to the game to help guide the player through much of the optional content. Next update will be a bit more focused on refining the tutorial section of the game. I have watched someone playthrough a portion of the game and it made me realize there are some things that I just did not explain at all, or at an appropriate time to streamline the learning experience for the game. More to come!Read full article on Community Announcements (codynstuff)Patch NotesOfficial
0.1.61 - Optimization!
Hello everyone! I have gotten some feedback about the game not running very well on some PCs and systems. This is due to a number of things but a major factor is the Audio/Image file sizes. I have found a way to reduce these file sizes with no noticeable effects on quality. As always if you find any glitches or issues please let me know and I will help ASAP!Read full article on Community Announcements (codynstuff)
