About this game
Dig sand with a shovel and process into iron, silicon and more. Craft and merge better tools and machines to build solar panels to power them. Research new machines to automate everything in multi-story factories. Play alone or with friends to survive in the desert and turn it into a solar farm.
Dig and process
Dig sand and stone and use crushers, filtering machines and furnaces to process it into iron, silicon, copper, aluminium and more.
Craft
Craft new and better tools to dig faster. Craft new and more machines to craft new things.
Merge
Merge four of the same tool or machine into one upgraded version. Merging tools increases the tool digging area, merging machines make them faster.
Survive
Keep track of your nutrition and hydration level and watch out for the heat from the sun. Failing to do so can lead to an untimely death.
Automate
Craft pipes to transport items between machines and craft lava extractors to get resources automatically from the ground. Automate everything in a large factory.
Features
Open-world: Large voxel based desert(64km2) to build your solar farm and factory in
Online-coop: Play alone to manage everything yourself or invite your friends to help you build the largest factory
Merge (almost) anything: Merge four of the same tool or machine to make a better one
Research: Unlock new materials, machines and tools through research
Voxel-based world: Shape the world as you want by digging and placing blocks.
Vertical factories: Use machines and pipes to automate the crafting of anything and expand it in three dimensions
Survival mechanics: Craft different tiers and types of foods and drinks to combat the harsh desert environment

Moose News - Demo release date!
The demo for Moose Builders will be released on August 31! With this the playtest will be deactivated as the demo will contain everything the playtest had and be the version that will be updated moving forward. So I want to thank everyone that tried out the playtest and left feedback. The demo has what will be the first tech tier of the game, the Crude tech tier. This will be one of four tech tiers in the final game and you can expect the other tech tiers to include even more things to unlock than this first one. There are no other limitations in the demo other than what you can research, so you can build as big factories as you like and dig up as much of the map as you like. And don’t forget that the game has support for online coop as well, so make sure to invite your friends to build factories together. If you have any feedback about the demo or run into any issues either create a Steam post on the steam discussion board or join the Discord: https://discord.com/invite/YVNsTCRbC2 I keep an eye on the Discord server most days so feel free to join there just to chat about the game as well. Here is a screenshot from my own factory made in the demo to showcase what you can doRead full article on Community Announcements (LingonStudios)AnnouncementsOfficial
Moose News - Build an efficient solar farm
Welcome back to Moose News, I’m currently working hard to get the last things done to make the playtest ready for release. While you wait for that, let me tell you how solar power works in the game. The main goal of the game is to build a giant solar farm to power your factory (and maybe something else towards the end game). To get the most out of your solar panels there are a few things you need to account for.Let’s start with the efficiency of the solar panel. The graph below shows the efficiency over a whole day for the Crude solar panel. Higher tech tiers of solar panels may have better efficiency over the day, but they will all have a very low output during the night. This means unless you want your factory to slow down outside of the peak sun hours of the day you need to store power somewhere. Storing power can be done with the Power storage machines. When there is a surplus of electricity in the power network they will start charging up. Then when the power output from the solar panels is not enough and there is power stored in power storage the power storage will fill in with the needed power. So with enough power storage you can have your factory fully powered throughout the whole night. Transferring power is done by the building blocks. Simply build your solar panels, power storage and processing machines on a connected grid of building blocks and they will all transfer power as needed between them. Solar panels need a clear view from above them, if any opaque blocks are above a solar panel it will not output any power. So while all other machines in the factory can be built vertically, solar panels can only be on one layer. So if you want to keep your solar farm part of your factory compact you will need to build a lot of solar panels so you can merge them to get more power per solar panel.Read full article on Community Announcements (LingonStudios)AnnouncementsOfficial
Moose News - Merging anything to make it better
Welcome to Moose News where you’ll get more in depth information about the game as I am getting it ready for release. Today I will describe the merge mechanic in Moose Builders. Everything (with a few exceptions) in the game can be merged by putting 4 of the same item into a Crafter. They will then be merged into 1 of a higher merge tier. There will be 16 merge tiers in the game which means the last merge tiers will be very expensive to craft. The different tiers are displayed with Roman numerals in the game.So what do you get for upgrading by merging? Let’s start with the tools. There are currently three different tools in the game. A shovel for digging different sand blocks, a hammer for gathering different stone blocks and a smashovel which is a combined shovel and hammer that can be used on either sand or stone. When upgrading a tool through merging it will get a larger digging area. Tier II increases it from 1 to 3x1, Tier III to 3x3, Tier IV to 5x5, Tier V to 7x7 and so on. So merging your tools will greatly increase the amount of raw resources you can get from digging. You can also merge chests, processing machines, solar panels, power storage, pipes and in-between items such as iron gears. Chests get higher item stack sizes with higher merge tiers. For example a tier I cactus chest has 8 item slots that each can hold a stack size of 16. Upgrading it to merge tier II gives it a stack size of 32, tier III a stack size of 48 and so on. Solar panels increase in power outputs with higher merge tiers and power storage increase in capacity. Pipes of higher merge tiers increase the stack size of transferred items. It starts at 1 for tier I and increases by 1 for each merge tier. In-between items such as iron gears do not have any use other than being used in recipes to craft other things. So when merged there is no functionality to enhance. However they can still be useful to merge since you can use Iron gear tier IV to craft a crafter tier IV. This means that you c...Read full article on Community Announcements (LingonStudios)
