About this game
「A vertical shaft, endless in space, ceaseless in torment—this is Avici.」
"ELEVATOR: AVICI" is a first-person psychological horror game wrapped in a gritty, retro Hong Kong lo-fi aesthetic.
The story roots itself in the shadowy corners of modern Hong Kong.
At 2:00 AM, you are just an ordinary delivery worker, stepping into a derelict apartment building for one last routine order.
Waiting for you is a classic, clanking cage elevator—the kind you’ve ridden a thousand times before, smelling faintly of machine oil and decay.
As you press the loose, wobbling button, the metal chassis groans and screeches into motion, just as it always does. But this time, your fate veers off the predictable track.
The routine shatters.
The elevator malfunctions violently. Imprisoned in this suffocating metal box, you have no choice but to watch the erratic floor indicator spin into chaos.
It might be suspended forever in the pitch-black shaft; or perhaps, it has already crossed the threshold into a supernatural realm that does not belong to the living…
In the dead silence, your sole lifeline is the distorted static of the emergency intercom.
A strange voice, claiming to be a "repairman," promises he can guide you to safety—if only you follow his commands.
Will you trust his orders, or forge your own path to survival?
The choice is yours.

Updated to v1.2.1 (Official Release). Optimized overly lengthy in-game cutscenes.Rewrote CG logic and added a skip button for CG animations. You no longer need to rewatch long, tedious cutscenes repeatedly!Fixed a rare bug where invisible walls trapped players inside the elevator with no way out. Extra collision checks have been added to prevent this issue.Players no longer need to retype their name every time.A mouse cursor has been added, making it easier to aim at interactable objects in darkness. It has been two weeks since launch! I sincerely thank players worldwide for supporting my debut solo Steam title as an indie developer. I have read all your feedback and reviews across platforms, feeling both grateful and anxious all along. Due to my limited coding experience and lack of experience developing large-scale projects, many gameplay flaws have affected your experience. I offer my sincere apologies. I previously only developed small horror games for itch.io, so my workflow for save systems and core features was immature. If I develop another game in the future, I will build a solid project framework first to guarantee smooth player experience.Regarding gameplay design: this is a short, bite-sized horror project. My core goal was to deliver tight, concentrated scares within a short playtime. I did not prioritize complex gameplay mechanics; instead, I poured effort into visuals and atmosphere to craft a psychological horror vibe. This update marks the official full release. There will be few feature updates going forward; future patches will mostly consist of bug fixes only.Once again, I apologize for all the unpleasant gameplay moments. I am truly sorry.Thank you for your kindness, encouragement and patience. I once struggled severely with depression, and your warm words and suggestions pulled me through. This elevator horror game would never exist without your support. Imperfect as it is in my eyes, it has given me new life goals.I recently followed the news ab...Read full article on Community Announcements (Nasu)Patch NotesOfficial
Updated to v1.1.3, improved the trigger experience for End3
Updated to v1.1.3, improved the trigger experience of End3. The trigger zone for End3 has been greatly expanded, so you won’t have frustrating gameplay from failing to align with the trigger target. A note from the developer: It’s almost a week since launch. I’ve thoroughly reflected on all the issues players encountered. This is my first game released on itch.io, and I poorly designed the save system, forcing everyone to replay sections and waste your precious time. I am truly sorry. If you find the experience extremely unpleasant, please feel free to request a full refund. I feel awful about all the time you’ve lost due to my oversight... I humbly ask everyone to go easy on me in your reviews and comments... I sincerely apologize to all players once again.Read full article on Community Announcements (Nasu)Patch NotesOfficial
