About this game
EVERY KILOMETER IS A DECISION
Cycling Champion is a fast-paced tactical cycling game where cards, energy management and timing decide every race.
You don't need an hour to experience the drama of a cycling stage. Races are condensed into short, tactical battles where every kilometer gives you another decision to make.
Attack too early and you may run out of energy.
Wait too long and your rivals could be gone.
Choose your moment.
PLAY YOUR CARDS
Every section of the race gives you a hand of action cards.
Attack to break away from the peloton.
Move Up before an important climb or sprint.
Keep the Pace and stay safely positioned.
Recover when your energy starts running low.
Sprint when everything comes down to the final meters.
Your cards are limited, so every decision matters.
MANAGE YOUR ENERGY
Winning isn't just about attacking.
Every effort costs energy, and pushing too hard can leave your rider completely exhausted before the finish.
Sometimes the smartest move is to attack.
Sometimes it's to wait.
And sometimes you have to risk everything.
ATTACK AT THE RIGHT MOMENT
Mountains, descents, flat roads and sprints create different tactical situations.
Use your rider's strengths, read the race and decide when to make your move.
A perfectly timed attack can win a stage.
A badly timed one can lose an entire Tour.
RACE A FULL CYCLING SEASON
Build your rider and compete across a season inspired by professional cycling.
Take on:
Grand Tours
Short stage races
One-day Classics
Mountain stages
Sprint stages
Individual challenges
Fight for stage victories, overall classification and the mountain jersey as you progress toward the biggest races of the season.
CHOOSE YOUR RIDER
Different riders are built for different races.
Climbers thrive when the road goes uphill.
Sprinters dominate fast finishes.
Classics specialists shine on demanding one-day races.
Choose the right rider for the challenge and make the most of their strengths.
CYCLING WITHOUT THE WAITING
Cycling Champion captures the tactics and tension of professional cycling in short, accessible races.
A stage takes only a few minutes to play, making it easy to jump into another race while still giving every decision consequences.

Preview 0.1.5 – Challenge Mode Rework
Hi everyone!Today I want to give you a first look at one of the main changes coming in Update 0.1.5: a complete rework of Challenge Mode. The biggest change is the introduction of unlockable riders. Each rider will be different, with their own strengths and weaknesses, and you’ll need to complete different objectives to unlock them all.Challenge riders will also wear unique jerseys that won’t be shared with other riders. This is a first small step towards some of the bigger features I’m planning for upcoming updates related to teams.Because of all these changes, I’ll also be resetting Challenge Mode progress when the update is released. I hope this won’t be too much of an inconvenience, but I think it makes sense considering how much the mode is changing. There will also be some important changes to the AI in Challenge Mode, which I eventually plan to bring over to Season Mode as well. Each rider will now have their own abilities, so some will be stronger in the mountains, others on flat stages, in sprints, and so on. My goal is to make races feel more varied and dynamic depending on who you’re racing against.I also want to spend some time improving the overall balance and difficulty. I don’t want the challenges to feel either too easy or frustratingly difficult, and getting that right requires quite a bit of testing.I’m hoping to release Update 0.1.5 within the next few weeks, ideally before the end of La Vuelta a España.After that, my next goal is to add an editor for Challenge names and Challenge rider names, before moving on to the much bigger Teams Update. Thanks again to everyone who keeps playing, sharing feedback and supporting Cycling Champion!See you on the road!Read full article on Community Announcements (Ausonio)AnnouncementsOfficial
Cycling Champion – Roadmap to 1.0
Hi all! It’s been just over a month since Cycling Champion launched in Early Access! It’s been a very modest launch, which is understandable given my zero marketing budget and the limited time I’ve been able to dedicate to the game.Even so, thanks to all your feedback, I’ve already released several updates improving, fixing and balancing the game. Here are the biggest updates I’m currently planning on the road to the full release:September 2026 — v0.1.6: New Challenge Mode A complete overhaul of Challenge Mode, with a new progression system and different cyclists to unlock and master.October 2026 — v0.2.0: Teams + Editor Teams will arrive in Cycling Champion, together with an editor that will give you more ways to customize the game.November–December 2026 — v0.3.0: 1v1 Multiplayer Race against another player and put your tactics to the test in head-to-head races.January–February 2027 — ??? There are still a few things I’d like to add before leaving Early Access. More details will come later!May 2027 — v1.0.0: Full Release The finish line of Early Access. Cycling Champion will reach version 1.0 around the start of the Giro d’Italia. These are the major milestones, but there will also be smaller releases in between, adding content, fixing issues and continuing to improve and balance the game.As always, plans may change depending on development and your feedback. Thanks to everyone who has played, shared feedback or supported Cycling Champion so far.The road to 1.0 continues! 🚴Read full article on Community Announcements (Ausonio)Patch NotesOfficial

This update focuses on further balancing the game and adding more spectators to key parts of each stage.Version 0.1.4The Climber, Descender, and Endurance attributes in Season Mode are now slightly less powerful.Rival AI is now a little more aggressive.During climbing sections, roadside assets are now generated randomly to create more visual variety. From the third consecutive climbing section onwards, and during the final kilometer, there are now many more spectators cheering along the roadside.I'm already working on the next big Cycling Champion update, which will bring some changes I'm sure you'll enjoy. Stay tuned! Thanks for playing Cycling Champion!Read full article on Community Announcements (Ausonio)Patch NotesOfficial
Update 0.1.3 – Race Feedback Improvements
Hi everyone! First of all, thank you so much for all the feedback I’ve been receiving. I hope this update helps satisfy your cycling appetite! Version 0.1.3 Mountain climbs now award more points depending on their length: 1–2 segments: 3, 2 and 1 point. 3–4 segments: 6, 4 and 2 points. 5 or more segments: 8, 5 and 3 points. If the general classification leader is also leading the mountains classification, the rider in second place in the mountains classification will wear the mountain jersey. A rider’s general classification position is now shown alongside their name when hovering over them. Changed the color of several UI buttons. Adjusted some energy bar parameters. Fixed a sprint bug that sometimes prevented the Bonk warning from appearing. Please keep sharing your feedback—it’s helping me improve the game with every update. Thank you for playing Cycling Champion!Read full article on Community Announcements (Ausonio)
