  Pun-ishment v0.5.0 Update: The New Tile Pick Mode Is Here!

  Hello everyone!Pun-ishment v0.5.0 is now available! Please make sure Steam has updated the game to the latest version before playing.Thank you for all the feedback and suggestions you’ve shared since launch. We noticed that some players found certain words particularly difficult, while others wanted to try puzzle packs in languages they are still learning. Differences in vocabulary, spelling, and cultural context can make typing the full answer especially challenging.In response to this feedback, we’ve added a brand-new Tile Pick Mode!In Tile Pick Mode, you no longer need to type the complete answer. Simply select the correct word tiles from the available choices and arrange them to form the answer. This reduces the difficulty caused by typing and spelling, while making puzzle packs in other languages much more accessible to non-native speakers.The original Typing Mode is still available. Players who prefer the full challenge and want to rely on their own vocabulary and spelling skills can continue using it.How to enable Tile Pick Mode:Open Settings from the main menuSelect ControlsUnder Answer Input, select Tile PickYour setting will be saved automaticallyWe hope Tile Pick Mode helps more players overcome language barriers and enjoy the puns, wordplay, and unique humor found in different languages.   v0.5.0 — Tile Input: Pick the Answer, Don't Spell It

  We've been listening. The two things we heard most were "this is too hard" and "typing the answer is a pain." This update goes straight at both. New: Tile Input (now the default). Tap the letter/word tiles to build your answer instead of pulling the whole thing out of thin air. Get the pun, pick the tiles — no more knowing the answer but fumbling to type it. Typing mode is still here. If you liked the original hardcore feel, switch back any time: Settings → Controls → Answer Input → Typing. Steam Deck & controller friendly. Tile Input needs no keyboard at all, so puzzles play just as well on a Deck or with a pad in hand. Hints now have a safety net. Hints go from 2 to 3. The third one reveals a correct tile outright, so you can never be permanently stuck on a puzzle. Every decoy hand-crafted. The wrong options aren't random filler anymore — each one is a real word chosen to sound like the answer. They're meant to tempt you. Answer screen layout refined; English puzzle punctuation cleaned up.
