About this game

BUILD YOUR AIRLINE

Start with a small fleet and turn it into a global carrier. Choose where to fly, build your network around real passenger demand, and grow your airline in a world shared with competing carriers.

PLAN THE NETWORK

Every route is a business decision. Study local and connecting demand, set schedules and fares, secure airport slots, and decide where your aircraft can make the biggest impact.

OPERATE EVERY AIRCRAFT

Your fleet is more than a number. Schedule individual aircraft, build rotations, configure cabins, plan around turnaround times, and keep a growing operation moving every day.

RUN THE COMPANY

Acquire and negotiate for new aircraft, hire and develop your workforce, manage finances, build your brand through commercial partnerships, and make the decisions that shape your airline.

Skyline Sim combines detailed airline operations with the freedom to build the carrier you want. Start with one aircraft. Build something bigger.

Skyline Sim Playtest Returns September 7 at 22:00 UTC

{STEAM_CLAN_IMAGE}/46176321/bacfa142477cb6752ec888cd77292c1033dacb4d.png Hey everyone! The next Skyline Sim public playtest opens on September 7, 2026 at 22:00 UTC, and everyone is welcome. Whether you played last time or are about to start your first airline, we'd love to have you join us. We've spent the break rebuilding airline founding, bringing seasons and a new weather simulation to the globe, and working through the systems behind schedules, crews, passengers and daily operations. Some changes will be obvious as soon as you open the game. Others are about making your airline's plans line up with what actually happens when its flights operate. How to join Visit the main Skyline Sim Steam page, find the playtest section and click Request Access. Install Skyline Sim Playtest through Steam once access is available. The playtest is open to everyone, including new players. We begin at 22:00 UTC on September 7. Before you start This is a development playtest, not the finished game. Expect bugs, rough edges, unfinished elements and systems that still need balancing. The game will continue to change as development progresses. We recommend starting a fresh airline for this playtest. Saves using the previous booking-system format are no longer compatible. Affected saves are marked as incompatible in the main menu. What's changed since the previous playtestA new start for your airline The main menu and airline-founding experience have been rebuilt around the globe. Choose your founding year and founder, select a country and base airport, create your airline's identity, appoint its leadership and sign the founding charter. Country selection now has its own globe layers, airport selection includes arrival and departure boards, and you can see your airline's branding take shape during setup. We've also corrected portrait framing and issues with founding progress and confirming your choices. A changing world outside your aircrafts The globe now changes with the seasons, foll...

Skyline Sim Playtest 2 Begins September 7

Skyline Sim Returns to Playtesting on September 7 The first Skyline Sim public playtest is over. Between July 27 and August 24, 261 players joined us, with a median playtime of 1 hour 30 minutes. During those four weeks, we released 83 versions of the game and used your reports, suggestions and community feedback to change a huge part of Skyline Sim. Now we're preparing for the next step. Playtest 2 begins September 7 The next Skyline Sim public playtest begins on September 7. Registration for Playtest 2 is now open through the Skyline Sim website. If you want to take part, you can sign up there and join the next round of testing. This second playtest is not just a continuation of the first one. Over the break, we've been working on some of the most important parts of the game and rebuilding areas that became clear pain points once players started running larger airlines. What we've been working on One of the biggest focuses has been scheduling and airline operations. As airlines grow, managing aircraft, routes, schedules and daily operations needs to remain understandable without turning into repetitive work. We're continuing to improve how scheduling works, how the game handles larger fleets and how different operational systems connect to each other. We've also been rebuilding the airport slot system. Airports now move toward a more realistic structure with unrestricted airports, schedule-facilitated airports and fully coordinated airports where slots become an actual operational constraint. The system is being designed to interact directly with schedules and operations instead of existing as an isolated mechanic. Another area receiving significant work is the new airline experience. Starting an airline is being reshaped into a clearer founding flow, covering your starting country, home airport, business direction and the actual creation of your airline before you begin building the network. We've also continued working on the globe, simulation performance, airli...

Skyline Sim’s Biggest Playtest Update Arrives August 9

The Biggest Skyline Sim Playtest Update Arrives August 9The next major Skyline Sim update will go live in the playtest on August 9. This is the largest update we have released during Playtest 1. It rebuilds Brand and Executive management around negotiations, active partnerships, operational obligations, loyalty, and consequential correspondence. Playtest 1 will remain available until August 18. That gives everyone nine days to explore the rebuilt systems, test the new workflows, and submit final feedback before this phase of development closes. A complete rebuild of the Brand experienceUntil now, Brand was mostly a collection of numbers. This update changes that. Brand is now structured around four connected areas: Standing — where your airline sits against its competitorsMarketing — how you build awareness and acquire partnershipsIdentity — what your airline represents and how consistently it delivers on that promiseLoyalty — how you turn passengers into long-term customersThese systems are no longer isolated dashboards. They now feed into one another and create longer-term strategic decisions. Brand StandingThe new Standing screen places your airline against its competitors, tracks its momentum, explains what is strengthening or weakening its position, and shows what must change before the brand can reach its next tier. Sponsorships are now a full strategic systemSponsorships are one of the largest additions in this update. Sponsorships turn awareness into something you acquire from specific properties, in specific markets, against competing airlines, through real negotiations. The world contains fictional sports, cultural, commercial, tourism, venue, and event properties tied to real cities and countries. They are attached to real cities and countries, but all property names are fictional. Each property offers something different. A business forum may strengthen your position with premium and corporate travellers. A music festival may deliver broad consumer reach...
