About this game
In Star Journey, you are the captain of a crewed starship caught in a war between the United Worlds and the Neo Terrans.
Travel a living starmap of claimed worlds, hostile fleets, neutral powers, spaceports, unexplored systems, and dangerous anomalies. Take command from inside your ship: pilot through space, raise shields, fire torpedoes, manage power, repair hull damage, consult your officers, and decide where your crew goes next.
The frontier is full of incidents waiting for a captain’s judgment. Rescue stranded survey teams, investigate suspicious distress beacons, uncover ancient probes, stabilize unstable anomalies, make first contact with new civilizations, and decide whether defecting enemy captains deserve asylum. Some missions lead to diplomacy. Some lead to discovery. Some are traps.
Beyond the bridge, the war continues. Factions move fleets, defend homeworlds, patrol borders, capture systems, repair damaged ships, and lose captains. Your actions leave a persistent mark: ships are damaged or destroyed, passengers come aboard, prisoners are held, discoveries are recorded, and explored systems remain explored.

Playtest is Live!
Captains,Welcome to your journey across the stars in the Theta Octant. It is now your time to shape this part of the galaxy and make a difference! The playtest is now live and I'll be looking forward to your feedback to help me make this a better game or just to tell me if I'm on the right path! When you launch the game you'll find a link button on the main menu that will take you to my google Star Journey Survey form for you to fill out. Thanks.Star Journey is my dream game and it has taken me over a decade to get to this point. Here's a really old video of mine (see below) of how this project looked when I was first working on it back in 2014! Back then I eventually reached some roadblocks in making the game viable for people to play, and I very much wanted to have ship construction as part of the gameplay. Fast forward more than a decade later, and lots of game releases, I was finally able to bring the project forward and really make a game from it! I'm really happy with how my voxel construction and destruction system turned out, and especially the voxel lighting system! Building starships is just an aspect of Star Journey, and there is so much more to the game for you to experience and enjoy!Good luck out there Captain!GTGDHere's a video of what this project was like when I started it in 2014.Here's the project today as Star Journey!Read full article on Community Announcements (Gamer To Game Developer)
