About this game

Bahast is a dark fantasy idle ARPG about preparing an adventurer, sending them into dangerous field runs, and turning every haul of loot into the next edge.

Combat resolves automatically, but the decisions are yours: choose a class, shape your build through gear, skills, passives, crafting, and town services, then push deeper into hostile regions built around loot, risk, and long-term progression.

Prepare, Run, Return Stronger

Every expedition starts in Bahast. Manage your inventory, tune your equipment, use crafting currencies, visit town services, and decide when your character is ready for the next push. Once a run begins, your adventurer fights automatically while your preparation is tested.

Build Your Character

  • Choose from distinct character classes

  • Develop your build through gear, skills, and a full passive tree

  • Use support systems to sharpen how your character survives, deals damage, and scales

  • Chase better item rolls, stronger combinations, and build-defining upgrades

Explore Dangerous Regions

Bahast’s world opens through multiple hostile regions, each with its own enemies, rewards, and progression pressure. Push farther, unlock new routes, and return to town with the resources needed to survive the next step.

Loot, Craft, Optimize

  • Collect weapons, armor, accessories, gold, sigils, and crafting materials

  • Sort, stash, sell, gamble, and refine your finds

  • Use Reagents and other crafting currencies to improve your equipment

  • Turn repeated runs into lasting power

Idle Combat, Real Decisions

Bahast is not a click-heavy action game. Your character handles combat automatically, but your planning determines how far they get. The core loop is simple: prepare the build, send them out, study the results, and come back stronger.

Built For Long-Term Progression

Bahast is designed around the satisfaction of idle growth, ARPG loot hunting, and deeper endgame goals. Early progress teaches the systems. Later progress asks you to refine your build, target better rewards, and make harder choices about what your character is becoming.

Bahast 1.3.3.c — Smoother Battles And Clearer Endgame

Release 1.3.3.c makes combat smoother on established saves, strengthens save recovery, improves Writ management, and clarifies the path from Divine Writs to Helegion. Reduced combat slowdowns on established Characters and large Stashes, including at accelerated game speeds. Strengthened Character and Stash ownership safeguards. Recovery choices appear only when unresolved legacy or retained Stash data needs attention. Added Sell All Writs to Writ storage. It sells every non-Unique stored Writ while protecting Unique, carried, queued, and active Writs. Expanded quest guidance from the first completed ordinary Divine Writ through Monster Level 75, the four key bearers, their fragments, and Helegion. Fixed Life and status effects overlapping in combat, and fixed an accelerated death transition that could briefly clear and repopulate the battle scene. Added a one-time Bahast reminder for the in-game Guide and wiki, and rewrote Unique, Skill, and Support descriptions in clearer language. Thank you to everyone who sent saves, screenshots, video, and detailed reports. That evidence helped us trace the performance problem and verify these fixes against the affected game states. Bahast 1.3.3.a + 1.3.3.b — Performance And Writ Fixes

Bahast 1.3.3.a and 1.3.3.b are now available. These two hotfixes focus on diagnostics, performance, Divine Writ progression, and Writ storage. Patch 1.3.3.a Fixed Send Diagnostics so reports can be uploaded again. Improved Battle screen performance and reduced slowdowns during longer sessions and repeated scene changes. Fixed Divine Writ quest progression that could remain blocked after selecting, queuing, and completing a Writ. Fixed saves with extremely large Writ collections that could make a character unresponsive and unplayable. Patch 1.3.3.b Combat-dropped Divine Writs now go directly to the Writ Stash instead of filling the 60-slot carry Inventory. Writ drop rates and sustain are unchanged. Thank you to everyone who sent reports, diagnostics, video, and save data. As Bahast's solo developer, that evidence helped me reproduce these problems and get the fixes in place. Bahast 1.3.3 — Gear And Combat Corrections

Bahast 1.3.3 is available. This corrective update improves item comparisons and gear rolls, smooths the opening difficulty of Divine Writs, prevents ordinary post-hit recovery from reversing death, and makes the combat log easier to read. Cryptic Arena also has its intended battle backdrop. Thank you to the players who sent reports, screenshots, and saves. That evidence made this patch possible. Read the full patch notes. — Bahast

Bahast 1.3.2 — More Writs. Better Loot. Less Clutter.

Release 1.3.2 improves Divine Writ progression and rewards while preventing large Writ collections from overwhelming storage or rendering. Divine Writ Progression Writ drops now choose one exact Monster Level from 50 through the current Writ level, weighted near the content being run, while preserving the existing chance to advance to m+1. The Golden Keep Registry sells ordinary Writs through your highest completed level. Successful Writs also award more equipment, additional Sigils, and a chance at zero, one, or two Reagents. Storage And Auto Sell The Writ Stash now has five fixed Tier tabs with 200 organized slots each, for 1,000 organized Writ slots per character. Auto Sell can keep Writs at or above a chosen Monster Level. Rare, Unique, God-Touched, Wager, and uncompleted progression Writs are always protected. One confirmed cleanup sells eligible lower-level Writs across the entire Stash. If carry storage and the matching Tier are full, eligible new Normal or Magic Writs convert to Gold instead of creating unlimited overflow. Stability And Interface Large Writ collections render 40 item controls at a time, and cleanup removes empty recovery pages from affected legacy saves. Fixed abandoned Battle canvas resources that could accumulate WebGL contexts. Existing saves remain supported; no reset is required. Bahast 1.3.2 Patch Notes.

Bahast 1.3.1 — Built From Your Feedback

Bahast 1.3.1 is live, and this patch comes directly from player feedback. Run any owned Writ directly from Writ Stash—no Queue required. Auto Climb now has a separate campaign-boss toggle, and Auto Sell can protect whole equipment categories. This patch also makes a minor adjustment near Scout's starting wheel, improves Chinese translations, displays Barrier as ornate blue filigree across the left half of the Life orb, and fixes several UI, tooltip, Writ, and Queue issues. A couple of weeks ago, I welcomed my second child. Finishing this update during such a full moment in my life has been intense. At the same time, building Bahast and seeing people care enough to play it, critique it, and help it improve has been the most amazing experience I've had as a solo developer. Thank you to every player who reported a problem, explained what felt wrong, shared a screenshot, or simply gave me time to work through it. Thank you for your patience while I got this patch right. I especially want to thank the Chinese-speaking players who waited so long for proper translations. You deserved text that was clear, natural, and mechanically accurate. Thank you for sticking with Bahast and for helping me find the places where the language still fell short. Read the full patch notes. Looking ahead, Release 1.4.0 will include a major overhaul of the passive tree. I'm excited to share more as it takes shape. Please keep telling me what works and what does not. I'm excited for your feedback, and I'm grateful that I get to keep building Bahast with you. — Bahast
