About the Game
Rule the Universe. Direct Civilizations. Simulate Reality.
Macht is not a generic space game; it is a 100% Real-Physics-Based Macro Simulator and Grand Strategy masterpiece, built upon a custom Cosmic Engine by Kestro Games.
You exist as an absolute Watcher, manipulating macro systems, balancing or disrupting star systems, and shaping the core lifecycles of evolving civilizations.
KEY FEATURES
Physics-Based Macro Astrophysics Simulation
Macht simulates core macroeconomic and astrophysical rules—from gravitational forces to planetary orbits—using real-time physics subsystems. Alter planetary mass and manipulate gravitational fields to reshape entire systems. Your macro interventions are instantly simulated within the fabric of the universe.
Watcher Directives
There is no linear story. Use the Watcher Directives panel to manipulate the fate of solar systems and societies at a macro level. Direct populations with your choices; lead them into systemic conflicts, societal collapses, or golden eras. Every directive shifts the sociological balance of the cosmos.
Dynamic Population and Lifecycles
Simulate the cosmic expansion of fundamental lifecycles, macro population movements, and the technological evolution of civilizations. Each civilization is a living multi-agent system driven by its own survival strategies and sociological frameworks.
VISION: ABSOLUTE CONTROL AND STRATEGY
Beyond good and evil, Macht focuses entirely on the absolute execution of strength and will. In this universe, there is no predetermined moral compass; there are only your macro decisions and their subsequent physical or sociological consequences. You are the architect of this cosmic laboratory.

Macht 1.1.1.0 - Planets & Surfaces
Macht 1.1.1 - Planets & Surfaces 5 September 2026 Planets got a real climate model. Instead of one green sphere with different weather, surfaces are now built from 13 biomes driven by temperature and moisture. - Deserts, built from scratch: mesas, buttes, dry riverbeds, cliffs and cacti. - Real coastlines. Almost all land used to sit above 1 km, so beaches basically did not exist. Land now uses an Earth-like elevation range. - A new forest replaces the old rainforest: 94 new plants, a much denser floor, and light that filters down through the canopy the way it should. - Surfaces load about three times faster (55.9s to 17.0s). - Spanish is fully translated. - Fixed: the cursor could disappear and never come back.Read full article on Community Announcements (Littiary)Patch NotesOfficial
Macht: Cosmic Engine 1.1.0.1 (Hotfix)
Macht: Cosmic Engine 1.1.0.1 (Hotfix) Thank you for all the reports since the major update. This hotfix closes the critical issues that came out of it, including one that could make planetary landing impossible for an entire session. Critical fixes Landing on planets works again A memory protection latch introduced in the major update could get stuck permanently. Once it triggered, terrain streaming stopped opening new detail levels, so approaching a planet produced no surface at all no matter how slowly you descended. Because the flag lived on the renderer rather than on the planet, it carried over between worlds: a single trigger meant you could not land anywhere for the rest of the session. The latch now resets whenever you travel to a new planet, and it also releases on its own once video memory recovers. The protection itself is unchanged, it simply can no longer become permanent. Galactic Forge galaxies are now saved Galaxies created with the Galactic Forge lived only in memory and were never written to the save file. This was most obvious in Void, where you could fill the sky with galaxies and find it empty after restarting. The save format has been extended to version 23. Existing saves still load normally and are not affected. Star field and motion Stars no longer teleport into view while travelling Above a certain speed a large share of the visible stars appeared instantly at full brightness instead of fading in. The cause was that the existing fade scaled a star's luminosity, while what the eye actually registers is flux, which also depends on distance. An intrinsically bright star was therefore still clearly visible even at five percent luminosity, so the fade did nothing for exactly the stars you notice most. Stars now enter at the visibility threshold and open up from there, independent of how bright they are. Measured against an identical build: visible pop-in reduced by 52 percent on entry and 29 percent on exit, with star density unchanged. MACHT 1.1.0.0: MAJOR UPDATE
MACHT 1.1.0.0: THE LIVING GALAXY UPDATE {STEAM_CLAN_IMAGE}/46166048/24417be7d23dfe4e423224d0f84a4f273ec9e717.png This is the largest update Macht has ever received. Since 1.0.1.14 the engine has taken on 385 changes, and most of them are not tweaks. They are entire systems that did not exist before. Civilizations now have people in them. Fleets cross the galaxy through a stargate network instead of crawling at sub-light forever. Battles are fought by a real combat AI and end with a winner. Planets die in a staged, cinematic collapse driven by Houdini pyro simulation. And you can now walk on Earth. Thank you to everyone who reported bugs, posted screenshots, and kept telling us what was broken. A very large share of this changelog exists because a player pointed at something and said "that's wrong." CHARACTER ACTIONS Civilizations are no longer faceless statistics. They are populated by independent characters who live, act, marry, scheme and die on their own timeline. Characters Independent character simulation: characters tick on their own, separate from the civilization layer Character Creator: build your own character and drop them into the living galaxy Real 3D character heads: sculpted busts with parametric morph targets and a live lit 3D viewport, not flat portraits AAA portrait rendering: subsurface scattering, dual-lobe skin shading, strand-based hair shading and ACES tone mapping Deep appearance customization: 8 categorized hair variants, derived beard styles, 16-colour luminance-preserving hair recolouring, reworked eyes, colour zones, micro-relief detail and soft eyelashes Clothing: a fully reworked modern robe with 4K textures and meander collar detailing Actions & behaviour Actions Node Editor: a visual editor with a chain engine for authoring what characters do Reputation and fame, driving personal actions that ripple outward Clans, diplomacy & succession Clans with their own panel, depth systems and mega-projects: treasury spending, construction and pe...Read full article on Community Announcements (Littiary)Patch NotesOfficial
Upcoming Major Update
Hey everyone,Big news. In a week or two at most I'm putting out an update that basically adds a whole new layer to the game. Some of it is stuff that was supposed to be in at launch but was too buggy to ship, some of it is new. You'll be able to create your own character and play as them, and Events are finally going in. Custom Character UpdateSo yeah, not just civilizations anymore. You'll be able to control characters down to micro actions. One thing to be clear about though: this new part isn't about creating things or ruling the universe like everything else in the game so far. It's much closer to an open world RPG, or a life sim. (For now it's isometric only, and your character is represented by your ship moving through space rather than a character model. It runs on a new Character Actions system I built for this.)This time you're not a creator. You're just a person with goals. (or one of the other life forms :) )Events.Civilization scale, local system scale, galaxy scale and universe scale events are all going in.Some of you probably saw the events listed in the universe laws on panel 4 and wondered why nothing happened. That's because I had them turned off, they were buggy. They're going in now. Civilizations are going to have a much rougher time even when you don't touch anything. The StructureThe old "Destiny" panel is being replaced completely and the algorithm behind it is getting rewritten. You'll be able to shape the galaxy with a few lines of text (for now this only covers civilizations and life sim interactions).Visual updatesWarships and combat effects got an update. The new city and nature work is also coming with this same package.Technical and optimizationI'm aiming to have the problems with landing on planet surfaces, and the problems on the surfaces themselves, fixed with this update. I can't promise anything because none of these issues ever happened on any PC I tested on, but I really think it's sorted this time. One more thing, I want to run a...Read full article on Community Announcements (Littiary)Patch NotesOfficial
Update 1.0.1.14 — The Age Overhaul, a Real Tutorial, and Favorites
Hello Watchers, This is our biggest update since launch, and a lot of it comes straight from your feedback. Thank you for every report, review and message. Keep them coming, we read everything. A completely rebuilt tutorial The old tour was 19 steps and skipped the most important parts of the game. The new one is 46 steps and actually teaches you how to play: selecting bodies, the full object panel (orbits, customization, starting civilizations), creating planets and stars from the inventory, the System Editor, navigation, god tools and more. It is interactive, you learn by doing. Missed the tutorial or skipped it by accident? You can now bring it back anytime from Settings > Game > "Show tutorial at launch". Age progression, reworked (community suggestion) Civilizations no longer skip through entire ages by filling an invisible points bar. To enter a new age, a civilization must now research every technology of its current era, plus one key technology of the next one, Nuclear Physics to enter the Atomic Age, Advanced Propulsion to reach for the stars, and so on. Buildings now require their actual technologies. No more metropolises rising without Iron Metallurgy, and no more nuclear plants without Nuclear Physics. Interstellar colonization must be earned through research as well. Ages finally feel like eras you live through, not a blur. Wars actually happen now Militant civilizations were talking tough and doing nothing. War decisions now properly weigh aggression, culture and ambition, so warmongering traits genuinely lead to war. Peaceful galaxies stay peaceful. Aggressive ones will not. Favorites Found a planet you love? There is now a star button on the body panel. Press F4 to open your favorites: sort by name, distance, type or size, filter, search, and fly back to any of them with one click, even across the galaxy. System Editor fix (community report) The habitable zone overlay now reflects the actual star you are looking at. Blue giants push the green zone fa...Read full article on Community Announcements (Littiary)
