About this game

Buerokratie Idler: Germany is a satirical idle/clicker game about a fictional German-style bureaucracy filled with forms, stamps, offices, and reforms.

You start with a tiny office, process your first forms by hand, and gradually build an ever-growing bureaucracy machine. What begins as a few cases and stamps slowly turns into a layered administrative system with new offices, upgrades, federal states, reform paths, and collection goals.

The core loop is simple: process forms, build resources, buy upgrades, and unlock the next administrative step. With every expansion, the machine becomes more efficient, more absurd, and a little more official-looking - but only inside the game.

Buerokratie Idler: Germany leans into dry humor, fictional administrative logic, and a retro office-PC interface. It is not a realistic government simulation. It is an intentionally exaggerated idle game about the strangely satisfying escalation of paperwork.

Features:

- Process forms and increase your administrative throughput

- Unlock new offices, upgrades, and progression systems

- Expand the machine through federal states, reforms, and stamp paths

- Collect in-game achievements and build out your stamp archive

- Play inside a dry, satirical office-PC interface

- Single-player idle/clicker progression with no real public services

German and English are the primary reviewed language options. Additional experimental language options are also included.

Fictional Satire Disclaimer:

Buerokratie Idler: Germany is an independent fictional satire game about an imaginary bureaucracy. It is not operated, supported, reviewed, endorsed, or authorized by any government agency, public authority, ministry, municipality, federal state, or public institution. The game is not an official simulation, does not represent real administrative services, and does not provide legal, administrative, or government advice. It does not use or imitate official sovereign symbols, government seals, agency logos, coats of arms, or official emblems.

Major Content Update: 123 Offices Are Now Live!

The biggest content update for Bürokratie Idler: Germany so far is now live! Germany’s administrative machine has reached a new milestone. With this update, the total number of available offices increases from 45 to 123, completing the full federal administration roster represented in Bürokratie Idler. This marks the maximum scope of the current office progression: from the first local steps of your bureaucratic career all the way to the highest levels of Germany’s federal administration, the complete 123-office progression is now available in one continuous run. 🏛 78 New Offices — Completing the Federal Administration The bureaucracy has reached its full scale. This update adds 78 new offices, expanding the game from 45 to a total of 123. With all 123 offices now represented, the federal administration progression in Bürokratie Idler is complete. The newly added authorities extend the late game significantly and take your administrative career all the way to the top. There is no further office tier beyond this point in the current progression system — 123 offices represents the maximum office scope of Bürokratie Idler. ⚙️ Individual Upgrade Names for the New Offices The new primary office upgrades use names tailored to their respective authorities instead of the generic “Fachverfahren” label. 73 of the new primary upgrades have their own distinct names. Examples include: • Central Register Cross-Check • Fugitive Data Cross-Check • Crisis Management Center • Batch Release • Automated Pension Processing • Budget Management • Cabinet Coordination 🎨 New Visuals The expansion includes a large set of new visuals for the additional offices and upgrades. This gives the new content a stronger visual identity while keeping it consistent with the existing progression. 🖥 Improved Upgrade Presentation The presentation of later upgrade tiers has been improved. This hotfix addresses several UI refresh issues that could appear after prestige or resource changes. Changes: - Fixed cases where upgrade/action buttons could stay disabled until switching screens. - Improved refresh behavior on the main menu, reform screen, and Bundesländer screen. - Fixed a Bundesländer UI issue where upgrading another Bundesland could require setting it active first. - Improved the prestige/reform explanation so retained offices are clearer. - No balance changes were made. Thank you for the detailed player feedback that helped identify this issue. -Aaron

Fix for achievements unlocked in the demo, plus a safer full-depot update.

Hey everyone, this small hotfix focuses on one specific issue reported after release: Some players who started in the demo and later continued in the full game could have achievements already marked as unlocked locally, but not synced correctly to Steam. This update adds a one-time sync pass for achievements that were already unlocked in an imported or continued save. It does not grant achievement rewards again, and it should not reset or change your save progress. What changed: - Fixed Steam achievement syncing for achievements already unlocked in demo-created or older saves. - The game now retries pending Steam achievement unlocks on startup. - The fix does not duplicate money, stamps, bonuses, notices, or timeline events. - Re-uploaded the full depot to avoid mixed install states after the test upload. Existing saves should continue to work normally. If you previously had achievements unlocked in-game but missing on Steam, please start the full game once after updating and load your save. If Steam is available, the missing achievements should sync automatically. Thanks again for the reports and patience while I clean up these early post-release issues. — Aaron
