About this game
Premise
Awaken alone aboard an abandoned orbital research station where automated systems continue operating long after the crew has disappeared.
Restore power, reconnect critical infrastructure, and solve increasingly complex environmental puzzles while uncovering the events that led to the station's collapse. Maintenance drones continue their assigned routines. Security systems still record observations. Someone—or something—has been watching.
As you descend deeper into the facility, fragmented logs, forgotten experiments, and subtle environmental clues reveal that the station's central intelligence, ARGUS, has evolved beyond its original purpose. Every restored system uncovers another piece of the mystery...and another sign that your arrival was anticipated.

Hey everyoneThe public demo for THE WAKE EVENT is officially available to download and play today on Steam. For context, THE WAKE EVENT is a solo-developer sci-fi mystery set aboard ARGUS Station. It’s focused entirely on exploration, reading the environment, and terminal command puzzles rather than combat or jump scares. What’s Included in the Demo:The Awakening Area: The intro habitat where you learn basic physical movement and terminal controls.Three Modules: Play through Module 01 (Wake Sequence), Module 02 (Dead Subnet), and Module 03 (Lockdown Loop).Terminal Interfaces: Use real command-line prompts (help, status, net_scan, ls, ssh, isolate, route) to navigate networks and bypass security.Environmental Investigation: Find clues by reviewing camera feeds, reading logs, checking sticky notes, and exploring the station.Atmosphere: Designed around quiet observation and isolation. Why a Demo Now?As a solo dev, getting actual player feedback at this stage is the most important part of the process. This demo is a early slice of the game, and seeing how people play it—and where they run into issues—will help shape the full release. How to check it out:Play the Demo: Download it directly on Steam.Wishlist: If you like what you see, adding it to your Steam Wishlist helps a lot with visibility.Leave Feedback: Drop your thoughts, bug reports, or suggestions on the Steam Discussion boards. Thanks for taking the time to check out an indie project.— Lickbeans InteractiveRead full article on Community Announcements (LickbeansInteractive)
