About this game
Build it, blow it up, and build it again
Perihelion lets you run your own rocket engine shop from the ground up. Take over an abandoned desert airfield and design realistic, unique engines. Test them (until you fly too close to the sun) while racing companies to land contracts from in-game aerospace companies. Or, you could just export it straight into your favorite space game and see it fly for yourself.
Make your company whatever you want it to be
Build ridiculous multi-meganewton heavy-lift engines, or weedy engines made just for small-satellite launchers. There’s no definitive answer, only what works. Size your own chambers, define your own nozzle cooling methods, pick a propellant combination, assemble turbopumps, optimize for a specific altitude, and more.
Compete to be the best
Coming next year as a part of the 1.0 release, be the best in the business and compete for lucrative, varied contracts. You decide what to do to win!
Export your engines to other games
Space games can feel limiting when the engine choices are predetermined, not what you want, and not optimal for the rocket you are looking to build. Perihelion's Engine Export feature, along with a standalone companion mod for each supported game, lets you be as creative as you like while also helping you design engines that are optimal for what you're trying to do.

Perihelion 0.3 | Calm Before the Storm
Perihelion 0.3 is officially out! This is still a dev version, but writing these helps keep the team updated, and gives me much needed practice in writing them. With that as well, I want to thank all of you that have started following us recently. It has massively shot up morale, and it is helping the team so much!Graphics Firstly, we have finally implemented proper settings. This includes display, audio, graphics, and other useful settings for a player to use. General settings include hueshift values, day/night toggles and speed sliders, Display is your normal resolution, monitor select, FPS limit and Vsync. Audio has 4 sliders, Overall, Music, SFX, and Environment, And, as you can see below, Graphics has a whole lot of settings to be fiddled with. Secondly, and to help alleviate some confusion in the loading screen, we have implemented a loading bar, and text saying what the game is loading. (Witty tooltips to come)Day/NightFinally putting to use a feature of our weather package, Perihelion now has a proper day/night cycle! There's always something to be said about a good night static fire. To help with that feeling, we have also implemented autoexposure, so the camera will adjust down to compensate for the bright plume.Audio.Big thank you to Ian for allowing us to use your tracks for our background music! The Main Menu, Editor, and VYC screens all now have nice ambient audio to keep you focused on engine designing!EditorThe nightmare of the pipe autorouter has been mostly solved! As you can see, it's not perfect, but its a MASSIVE improvement of what it was, and it's actually routing around the engine. Next up, and while not the focus of this update, its important to mention. Our first of the remodeled parts are done! This will be a type of injector, but there are many other versions to come. It's not impossible this does not make it in at all.Lastly for the editor section.Offset/Rotation tool fixes. These have been a bit broken since we put them in, but they are ...Read full article on Community Announcements (iiYa_Yeeet)
