  🦑New Bosses In, 🦈Old Bosses Out, 📝Bosses Renamed

  Ahoy, fishers!New Bosses InWe're currently developing two new bosses that will serve as the fourth and fifth map bosses. Both new bosses feature a single combat phase with multiple skills that rotate during battle. This sets them apart from the first three maps, where bosses had multiple phases but fewer skills.The new boss is a polluted giant anglerfish, glowing with a green light all over its body. One defining trait of this anglerfish boss is its huge mouth, which channels two of its skills. The third skill is triggered through the lure on its head.(Work in progress, not final quality)Skill 1: Fish BarrageThe anglerfish boss opens its huge mouth, and countless small fish rush out, flying towards the player like a barrage.Skill 2: Lure BeamThe lure on the anglerfish boss's head continuously absorbs light energy, then focuses it into a beam fired directly at the player.Skill 3: Waste DischargeThe anglerfish boss opens its huge mouth and spits out junk and debris, ramming into the player. No screenshot for this one yet, keeping some suspense.Old Bosses OutThe originally planned bosses for the fourth and fifth maps have been scrapped due to poor test feedback, with the new anglerfish and octopus bosses taking over.The gameplay of shooting rocks and destroying mines with bullets for the old bosses didn't work well. It was hard to understand, and we struggled to balance the difficulty. So we made the call to cut them! The last boss was originally designed similarly to the fourth, relying on bullet impacts, but that approach was already proven unsatisfying, so it's been replaced too.Bosses RenamedThe previous five bosses were named a bit casually, like Crab King, Mutant Urchin, and Core Eel.   Ahoy, fishers!Today, allow me to introduce the true workhorses of Meow Squad: Incremental Fishing — the four cats sitting at the bottom of your screen, tirelessly firing away automatically, never needing a break. They auto attack and reel in fish for us, while we simply sit back and enjoy the spoils.Of course, calling them "workhorses" is a bit harsh, since I actually treat them pretty well. Unlocking talent trees, upgrading skills, and boosting their combat power in every way. These guys are the real backbone of your firepower. Calling them my business partners isn't too far fetched. So, who exactly are these four cats, and what are they capable of? Let me introduce them one by one.🐱Meet the Meow Squad🧊Des the FrostbornDes the Frostborn is the first squad member you'll unlock, and the founding member of the crew.Des fires ice shots in a fan-shaped spread. The initial volley is small, but once upgraded, the barrage becomes increasingly dense, covering a wide area. It's your main crowd control for clearing the sea in the early to mid game.⚡Mochi the StormcallerMochi the Stormcaller is the second member to join. Mochi's lightning chain bounces between schools of fish, striking one target before jumping to the next, creating a chain reaction.Whether facing dense swarms or scattered fish, the lightning chain's conduction effect is outstanding. After upgrading, the number of chained targets increases further, making it incredibly efficient when fish are packed together.🔥Ace the FlamecasterAce the Flamecaster is the third squad member. Ace fires explosive fireballs that deal high area damage.Against fish with high health, Ace's explosive damage is your guaranteed DPS. Upgraded fireballs have a larger blast radius and higher damage, making Ace an essential late game damage core.👻Belus the PhantomBelus the Phantom is the last cat unlocked, and the most unique one.   This Boss Doesn't Look Too Bright O_o💡

  Hello everyone! Time flies, and we've already reached the boss fight of the fourth map! The previous bosses are also being polished one by one, aiming to keep the fun high while maintaining a moderate difficulty. We want the boss fight mechanics to be simple and easy to understand, with as few complex rules as possible. This helps reduce the learning curve for players and cuts down on lengthy tutorials.The boss of the fourth map is called Frenzied Shark, but this shark looks rather "wise" ... not very bright really O_o. I'd rather call it The King of Loaches. This boss fight has only one phase, taking place in an underwater cave with loose rocks, where many mines are hidden.If the player's attacks hit the rocks, loose debris will fall. Getting hit by the debris costs health, so players need to dodge. However, after being hit a certain number of times, the rocks will disappear, creating a larger battle area. At the same time, players must find ways to detonate the mines near the boss, which deal massive damage to the boss.Stay tuned and follow us!
