About this game

Defend. Survive. Kill some zombies.

IsoDead TD is an isometric tower game with a hybrid aesthetic, with classic mechanics and a zombie theme. Place towers along the path, recruit heroes with unique passives, and hold the hordes that grow wave after wave. How long can you last?

What's inside

  • Variety of towers — shooter, sniper, flamethrower, freezer, cannon and more, each with its own personality

  • Upgrade paths — choose how your tower evolves

  • Recruitable heroes with helpful passives

  • Tactical abilities — air bomb, reinforcements, repair

  • Maps across several difficulties — from Easy to Nightmare

  • Endless mode — for those who never get tired

  • Achievements and online leaderboards

Who made it

Made solo by me — with essential help from my friends in testing. It's my first published game, and it had to be a tower defense: I've loved the genre since I was a kid. Put a lot of care into it.

What it does NOT have

  • Microtransactions

  • Battle pass / season pass

  • Ads

  • Gem / energy system

Just a game. Buy once, that's it.

Who it's for

For those who love classic tower defense, want to relax killing zombies, and enjoy games that are quick to finish — with variety to bring you back several times.

Available in

Portuguese · English · Spanish · Chinese

Supports mouse, keyboard and gamepad (Xbox).

Good luck. And have fun!

    Update v1.1.0

New FeaturesNuclear Plant — new heroic mapNew map — Nuclear Plant: radioactive-themed map, with dedicated layouts across all 4 difficulties.Heroic Maps (new map category): a new type of map, marked with the "Heroic Map" seal. It brings its own mechanics and doesn't count toward the "complete all acts" challenges (those still rely only on acts 1 to 5), but it has its own dedicated challenge.Contamination (radioactive sludge): in the Plant, tiles covered by radioactive goo aren't buildable. Click the puddle (or drag a tower onto it) and pay the cleanup in gold — 30 fixed on Easy/Normal; 30 plus +5 for each new cleanup on Hard/Nightmare. Neighboring puddles merge and can be cleaned all at once.New boss — Ooze: radioactive sludge boss of the Plant. 25% chance to dodge bullets and 25% to avoid status (40%/40% when awakened); it spits globs that weaken nearby towers (−30% damage and −20% fire rate for 5s). Vulnerable to elemental: takes double damage from fire, ice and lightning.New enemy — Courier: slow, tough zombie carrying a uranium barrel. Enters from wave 10 onward, always at the front of the group.Uranium Puddle (Courier mechanic): when the Courier dies, it leaves a radioactive puddle on the ground (20s) that buffs every zombie passing over it (once per zombie): more speed and +35% HP. The Freezer is the counter — the first freeze removes the speed bonus.New enemy — Bio-Zombie: zombie protected by an anti-radiation suit, nearly immune: it only takes physical damage from the tower's locked target — immune to fire, ice and lightning, to area damage and to negative status. In Endless Mode it loses full immunity and starts taking reduced elemental damage and status.Hero Path System (new mechanic)Paths: each hero now chooses 1 of 3 paths (free, in the "Paths" module on the star tree). The path defines a passive that scales by level and unlocks 3 talents in the tree (4★ each). It replaces the old fixed line of hero upgrades.Bruno's Paths: Gunslinger (pure damage, stuns a...

    Update v1.0.2

NewEndless Mode — drafts on your own time: card drafts no longer interrupt the match. They now stack up on the "Cards!" button in the HUD (with a counter of how many are waiting), and you open them whenever you want — the game only pauses when you're choosing. The 4 cards are drawn the moment you open them, reflecting the towers and heroes you have on the field. Prefer the old behavior? Turn on the Auto-open switch.UI scale: a new option in Settings (Auto / 100% / 125% / 150% / 200%) that fixes the HUD and map looking tiny on 4K displays.Stage map (Nightmare): completely redesigned layout.BalanceCannon:Area damage is now split into three concentric zones — the center takes 100% of the damage, the middle ring 75%, and the edge 50% (previously the entire area took full damage). Hitting the center of your target matters more.Tesla:Base damage increased from 14 → 17Missile Tower:Base damage increased from 25 → 26 FixesOnline ranking: when the server went down, the leaderboard was wiped and showed only you as "#1". The game now keeps the last known ranking and displays a "server delayed" notice instead.Ranking screen: the Normal difficulty button didn't light up when selected. Fixed.Minor fixes and stability improvements. OtherCampaign leaderboard now shows the run's stars (★ · Time · Gold).Statistics: two new lifetime counters — Total waves and Best endless.Keyboard (B) and controller (Select) shortcut to open pending cards in Endless Mode.New sound effect when a card arrives in Endless Mode.

    Update v1.0.1

New Reworked starting tutorial: every element is now explained before it comes into play — the top resource bar, abilities, the tower panel (upgrades, range, and target focus), and the hero. Display modes on desktop: Windowed, Borderless fullscreen, and Fullscreen. Choose under Settings → Display. Balance Easy difficulty: Starting gold increased from 250 → 300 Fixes Online ranking: players whose Steam profile name contained accents, symbols, or emojis now show up on the leaderboard (they were previously rejected silently and never appeared). Endless Mode now records your score on the ranking correctly. Your Steam profile name now appears in the menu and in the settings. Minor fixes and stability improvements.
