End of month patch
Just a small update fixing some issues: First we have the enemies attack frames. Before enemies would get stuck in their final attack frame if they did not hit a slime. Now We have added a timeout that puts enemies back to their active animation if they are stuck again. This should stop the horde of plunger wielders looking like they are ice skating while chasing you. Second has to do with The Gate Keeper. In the last update I teased about something dropping from him but it turns out it was not implemented correctly yet. This is now fixed and The Gate Keeper drops... Well you can figure out when you defeat him, along with what happens if you happen to extract with said item. As always, we want to thank you again for your support with the development of this game.Read full article on Community Announcements (AAspectProfessorDoc)Patch NotesOfficial
An update with a bear
These update notes will be to make up for the previous updates that we did not get to due to testing. But first, A BEAR: This is Beary. You can now find Beary wandering through the map amongst the trees, which is another part of the update, decor. The land is now populated with various trees, rocks, and flowers that get randomly generated with the map. Before getting onto the notes I want to thank everyone who has supported this game so far along with your input into the game's development. It truly means a lot for us, two brothers, seeing people engaging with a game we put our hearts into making. Now, for some notes:Beary Bartholomew Bearburt: an obstacle that is neither friend or foe, he will wander through the map and grab the first thing closest to him. Dirt mounds: the second part of Beary, after grabbing something he wanders to the new open dirt mounds and buries whatever is in his mouth. The dirt mound then fills up, which can then be dug up to rescue whatever was trapped within.Trees and Rocks: four decor additions (two variants each) that have physical properties. These decor are obstacles that get in the way, setting up a near future update that helps with resource problems. Be warned though. Beary is not deterred by the wilderness.New ground texture: what began as a slight change in color and grass texture, spiraled out into ambient decor that goes along with the ground. There are now ten different variations of ground textures, giving more of a feeling of life to these lands.Overrun overhaul: the overrun mechanics before were about how many slimes you could get nearby the building along with the amount of goobies they were holding. This has been changed due to size of the building being a huge factor in how many slimes you could get around it. Now when you start the overrun process, the building activation range counts the slimes so the distance is much larger. Trust me when I say that if you have the slimes grouped up when they touch a building, this cha...Read full article on Community Announcements (AAspectProfessorDoc)Patch NotesOfficial
Hotfix July 2026
So after testing a bit we realized that the game was literally unplayable in its updated format before this hotfix so we apologize for anyone inconvenienced by it. The skill tree in specific would not let you on different floors for higher upgrades, soft locking you to a weakened state where you can only fight the first enemies. It is fixed now along with some other changes such as the enemies spawn rate for the outhouse being reduced along with previous save files loading properly now. Thank you all again for your continued support and please let us know if you find any more bugs.Read full article on Community Announcements (AAspectProfessorDoc)AnnouncementsOfficial
We are back!
After a couple of weeks of not having equipment to continue work on the game's updates we are finally back with an update with some requested features! Thank you all for your patience and know that we will be updating more frequently in the future. Now, for some update notes:Mini-map now available in the main gameplay map showing your way back home. You can also press tab or your version of the select button on controller in order to bring it up into full screen. Full screen mode pauses the game as well as displays more information such as icons for enemies (within vision), buildings, slimed buildings, and your individual slimes. Both versions of the map also include an icon for your cursor as well as the rectangle of your current screen. Skill tree changes! The skill tree is no longer a spaghetti like mess and is now understandable. Different floors are accessible with the floor selector via the dropdown menu located at the top of the cave. This also includes the button to go back to the main hub. Buttons for individual floors will not be accessible until you have maxed out the main skill of each tier, then the button for the next floor with show up in the selector.Changes to some enemy behaviors such as the outhouse villager spawning too frequently for beginning gameplay. Please let us know how you feel about game balance on one of our socials.Setup for future update: Right now it is not available yet, but I wanted to get this part out as soon as possible so just as a sneak peek, the cave has access to a hidden door that becomes available when you purchase all skills. Along with this new room, setup for SFX has also been added to make future updates faster. Please let us know your feedback in one of our socials as well as just hanging out and talking. We would love to know what players are thinking as well as any ideas you might have. I will leave this off with a WIP background for the new room as well as a thank you from the AAspect team!Read full article on Community Announcements (AAspectProfessorDoc)Patch NotesOfficial
