About this game
Welcome to Miami. Enjoy the sun, the palms, and the flesh-eating mutants.
The city is completely warped, and every single alley is a death trap. But that’s exactly where the best loot is hiding. Pack some serious firepower, grab everything that isn't bolted down, and blast through anything in your way.
Survival is the game for the bravest, or in this case, the crazy ones.
Sun, Palms & Mutants
There are still remains of the city that once was, but now with new layer of destruction. Luxury hotels are now infected nests, the beaches are mutant sand pits... and some zones have mutated so badly. No sane person would come here. Luckily, that doesn't apply to you.
Fight, Scavenge, Repeat
There's no shame in running. Your only goal is to make it out alive, whatever it takes. Tear through narrow back alleys, rip open abandoned ambulances, and check the toilets, you might find a high-tier rifle, or you might just find a warm can of old beer. Either way, you're gonna need it. Random loot, varied enemies, and unpredictable weather mean no two runs go the same way.
Go Inside (If You Dare)
Don't just stick to the streets. Break into hotels, bars, and neon-lit nightclubs. The deeper you go, the bigger the danger gets, but that's where the best loot is waiting. Keep an eye out for intel on the area so you know exactly what kind of hell you're walking into.
The Nightlife
Miami is dangerous by day, but a total nightmare after dark. If you aren't heavily geared, do not stay out past sunset. When the lights go out, the worst monsters crawl out of the shadows, the city goes pitch black, and you're left relying entirely on a flashlight battery that will run out. But the dark is also when the rarest loot can be found. Do you risk it all, or play it safe?
Escape or Die
You don't win until you get out. Fight your way back to your boat, defend a chopper helipad, or strap yourself to a lawn chair rigged with propane tanks. It doesn't matter how you leave, just don't die, because if you do, everything you found stays in the dirt.
Home Sweet Home
The only place you can feel truly safe, your island paradise. Bring back resources to upgrade your base, build new structures, and repair old ones. Improving your home base will attract more survivors, unlock new skills, and let you permanently upgrade your stats. Once you are ready, sleep until morning and head back toward Miami.

New locations added!
We are working hard on crafting the surreal world of Sunset Survival: Miami. Our goal is to blend the familiar with a distinct mutant twist. We are super excited to show you some of the new locations we’ve been working on, so without further ado...1. Military Base Once a strong military outpost, it is now completely overrun by mutants. It’s a very dangerous place, but it holds an incredible reward: ammo crates- a lot of ammo crates. It’s up to you if you want to risk it, or if you'd rather progress through the nearby park instead. Surely there’s no danger over there... right?2. Beach Gym This used to be a place where people came to exercise. Now, that just means you'll encounter plenty of Brute enemies here - those big, muscular mutants that can obliterate you in a few hits. Yeah... good luck with that.3. Inferno Beach We're really not sure why anyone would step foot here. The rot has covered most of the beach, and mutant material is spread all over the place. To be honest, no one actually knows what's hiding here, because no one has ever come back alive to tell the tale...We’re continuing to refine and build the world of Sunset Survival: Miami to make it as interesting and dangerous as possible. Do you have any ideas or suggestions for what location we should add next? Let us know in the comments! We are incredibly excited to share more details with you soon. We’ll make sure to keep you updated as development rolls on.If you haven't already, don't forget to Wishlist Sunset Survival on Steam!– The Ajvar Studio TeamRead full article on Community Announcements (ajvar.studio)AnnouncementsOfficial
Welcome to South Beach
Welcome to South BeachWe want to give you a first look at one of the starting areas in Sunset Survival: Miami - South Beach.South Beach used to be a paradise where people came to relax, swim, and enjoy life. Now, it’s a dangerous desert wasteland. Threat is everywhere. You’ll need to watch your step to avoid buried mines, sunbathing mutants, and if that isn't enough, giant sand worms lurking under the sand. This is where your journey begins. You’ll be dropped right into the heat with nothing but your wits. From here, you have to find a way to survive, gather what you can, and eventually find a way back home to your base.Scavenge the CoastWhen everything collapsed, many ships were left stranded right on the shore. It’s smart to check them out, who knows what kind of supplies and resources are still trapped inside them? You can also search the shallow water for loot, but don't go too deep. You don't want to find out what is swimming in the deep water.Search for SecretsSouth Beach is full of hidden secrets if you know where to look. A simple loot container might actually hide the entrance to an underground bunker, and you never know what valuable gear is left behind in the old lifeguard towers. The Gateway to MiamiThis beach is just your gateway. It leads straight toward the main city. It’s dangerous here on the sand, but what is waiting for you ahead in the city streets is way worse.South Beach is just one of many different areas that will be in the game. We can't wait to show you more regions, enemies, and gameplay details soon! If you have any ideas or suggestions for what you'd love to see on the beach, let us know in the comments below! We read everything and want to build this game alongside you.We will make sure to keep you updated as development rolls on. A Closer Look at Gameplay!
We want to thank you all for the incredible support! We are truly humbled by your reception, and we wanted to share some more details about the gameplay. Bear in mind, Sunset Survival: Miami is still under active development, and many things can change.Your Base: The Abandoned IslandYou start on an abandoned island located just off the coast of Miami. The island is currently in bad shape, but it holds a lot of potential. To clear it out and build new structures, you will need to head into the city to collect resources. At the start, your travel options are limited, like a trusty old boat, but as you progress, you'll unlock more advanced ways to travel. As your journey continues, new survivors will join your base. You can spend your hard-earned resources to upgrade your stats and build structures that unlock completely new gameplay options. The City: High Heat, High Danger But to build up your base, you'll first need to survive the city, which is much harder than it looks. You start your day in the morning as the sun rises. The city is calm, making this your best opportunity to prepare, scavenge for firearms, grab melee weapons, and find vital items to help you survive. As time ticks by, the heat increases, and so does the danger. Expect to see more enemies, including tougher types that only appear later in the day or in specific regions of the map. Be prepared, because once you run out of ammo, your best option is to run like hell! If things get too hot on the open streets, you can always duck into one of the many interiors waiting to be explored. Just because they look peaceful at first doesn't mean they'll stay that way. Many of them hide secrets waiting to be uncovered, which hold the keys to unlocking new portions of the city. Get In, Get OutOnce you've had enough or your inventory is completely full, you need to find a way back home. Use that rusty boat you came in, or locate a lawn chair strapped to propane tanks, just get back to base. If you die, all your loot...Read full article on Community Announcements (ajvar.studio)AnnouncementsOfficial
Sun, Palms and Mutants... Announcing Sunset Survival: Miami
Hey everyone! We are so happy and proud to finally be able to share some massive news with you. After months of hard work, we are ready to present our latest project: Sunset Survival: Miami. Sunset Survival: Miami is a top-down, PvE extraction shooter set in the heart of Florida. We wanted to blend our love for Scarface, Vice City, and Miami Vice with classic zombie horror, and that’s how the concept was born. We wanted to step away from the dark, gritty tropes of the genre and just have some fun with it. So, we made our protagonist a walking "Florida Man" headline and decided to explore the apocalypse through his unique perspective.
