About this game

Hiya, Yeti here. Look, I need some help around the Tavern, you think you could pick up a shift or two? You got this quality about you that I'm desperately lacking around here... Thumbs! Thumbs and Motivation!

Now the idea for the bar is something only a true genius could have thought up. There's never any good food around for adventures after a mission, and they're always hungry after a good fight. That's where we swoop in. I made a deal with a dragon and now we have a tavern on his back! (We feed him some of the tavern revenue).

We fly from dungeon to dungeon serving starving adventures before and after their missions.

You'll have to make dishes in the kitchen, remember peoples favorite drinks, and of course be a stand in therapist for when a barbarian breaks his favorite axe in battle.

Listen, the drinks you serve, and the food you prepare has a real effect on people ok?

A nutritious meal the night before a brawl could be the difference between slaying a slime, or ending up on a kobolds Pike. Not to mention the monsters have been running more and more rampant recently!

It's up to us to make sure our Heroes are in peak form!

Think you can handle our crazy clientele? Come test your culinary chops at The Wandering Wyrm!

Hi! It's Noah, Lead Developer of the wandering wyrm.

Now that you've met yeti, I wanted to talk about the games roadmap.

Right now, what will be available is chapters 1-3 (dungeons 1-3) of the game - with mostly completed content. I won't reveal too much of what we have planned, but expect more unique characters, more choices, more story to come. Wandering Wyrm is planned to have 10 story chapters with roughly 4 different endings and a number of "sub-endings" (character specific endings)

While the art is mostly generative ai, the code and writing are less than 5% generative ai. - We have handcrafted this universe and it all started from a small idea - could a dragon carry a bar? (Honestly I got the idea from 7 deadly sins and the boar's hat!.)

Pricing will go as follows - and we plan to increase the price as more content becomes available - so buy now!

$1 if you purchase now (while only 1-3 is available)

$2.99 purchase on the next major release (1-6 available)

$3.99 - Price for dungeons (1-9)

$4.99 - Full release price (for beta)

$5.99 - Full release after exiting beta

Wandering Wyrm has been a labor of love that has been developed off and on for about a year now. The team at critical sprite games wanted to say - Thank you, and good luck on your first shift!

    Soundtrack and Jukebox Update

Hey Folks, Exciting news - the new Jukebox changes are live as of today! This will allow you to adjust and change the order of songs in the tavern, disable tracks you don't want to listen to, and play songs on demand without needing to cycle through all the songs to do so! Additionally, we wanted to announce the Wandering Wyrm Soundtrack - this will be available for purchase (standalone) soon - and it will also be included in your purchase of the game. Jukebox Changes: To start, here is the new Jukebox view! We call it the Jukebox Playlist Manager, or JPM.As you can see, this will allow you to order songs, play them, and set if they will play during the typical, automatic loop by clicking on the Star. You can access this by clicking on the JPM button - it looks like this: In addition to that, we have added four "Artists" to the game, which each come with their own style and theme, along with some fancy Album Art! You may recognize some of them, and others - well, we don't want to give any spoilers there yet! Here is that album art! Additionally, since we don't have a JPM tutorial yet (And I feel it is fairly self-explanatory) - I wanted to give you an idea how the entries worked. JPM Listing Anatomy: Well, that's pretty much it! We hope you enjoy the new jukebox controls and the "control" it gives you over the sound of your tavern!SoundtrackWe plan to release the soundtrack as soon as possible. It's all ready to go on our end, with the song selections we plan to release on this first pass, we just a few hatches to tighten up on the storefront before release. We plan to see that happen soon, likely in the next week or so. The soundtrack will release at a price point of $0.99, and we plan to keep it that way. Again, it is also part of your purchase of the base game. Disk 1: Disk 1 features all songs made by Critical Sprite Games - while many of these are parodies or covers of other songs, a good number are also fully original songs made by us!Disk 2: Disk 2 features s...

    Chapter 1-3 | Beta Patch 2

Hey Folks, After a week of launch, I have gotten some feedback on a few issues that happened when the game was hosted on an external drive, so, I have gone ahead and done my best to mitigate them. To do so, we added a loading screen, and also, sped up the dialogue load-times so there should no longer be a brief "flash." It's a pretty small update, but wanted to get these changes out now. There's also a few more updates, see below Bug Fixes:Added a loading screen so the game doesn't "freeze" when loading the game from the main menu, or after the introRemoved a frame-long delay that would happen before dialogue loaded in, this removed the brief dialogue panel "flash"Minor Improvement to dialogue load-timesFixed an issue with the "Max Dishes Reached" blocker - it will now correctly reset after you have sold a dish and returned to the kitchen.

    Dev Live Stream on Launch

Hey Folks,I (Noah, lead dev of Wandering Wyrm), will be doing a livestream of the game tomorrow at noon! The problem may be that my internet/where I live will not permit this, so we shall see how it goes. It'll be my first actual live stream on steam as a dev, so I appreciate any support/chats/feedback you want to give as we play through the game for the first time! I will also post the full playthrough on the Critical Sprite Youtube. I will be playing through all 3 chapters and it should take roughly 1-1.5 hours. Feel free to stay after for a quick Q&A, my total time planned for the stream is 12pm CST - 2pm CST. Cheers, Noah.
