About this game
WORDS CAN BE DEADLY - A DARK WORD-BUILDING ROGUELITE
LETTERBANE is a dark word-building roguelite with the build depth of a deckbuilder. Draw magical letter stones, form devastating words and create spell builds that evolve with every fight. Every word shapes your future run. Every element pushes your build into new directions. Play in English or German with fully curated word systems built specifically for both languages.
EVERY WORD SHAPES YOUR RUN
Fire attracts more fire. Lightning evolves into destructive chain reactions. Rare multi-element words can suddenly take over an entire build. What begins as a simple word can slowly evolve into devastating combinations capable of filling the screen with magical chaos. You don't just react to your draws. You shape them.
HUNT THE PERFECT LETTER
Every letter stone carries:
• Elements
• Quality tiers
• Unique base damage
Combine letters, search for stronger combinations and chase rare elemental synergies capable of transforming your entire strategy. And eventually the hunt begins. For that one perfect letter. That rare combination. That draw where suddenly everything clicks.
FROM SMALL WORDS TO COMPLETE CHAOS
A tiny word can become a screen-filling spell. As synergies grow stronger, carefully crafted builds evolve into unpredictable magical destruction. Those are the moments LETTERBANE is built around.
SPELLCAST OR SIGILCAST
Shape powerful SPELLCASTS from real words to unlock elemental bonuses. Or channel raw magical energy through unstable SIGILCASTS to unleash devastating spell forms. Every cast pushes your build further.
EVERY HERO CHANGES THE RULES
Different heroes favor different elements, letter pools and strategies. What feels impossible for one hero may become the foundation of an entirely different build for another.
BUILT FOR TWO LANGUAGES
Play with fully supported:
• English words
• German words
Including:
• Unique word pools
• Language-specific letter generation
• Elemental spell combinations
• Multi-element words
LETTERBANE was designed from the ground up to support both languages with curated word systems and language-specific gameplay.
