About this game

Chrome Survivor is our take on an infinitely replayable cyberpunk bullet heaven.

Level up, find items that create ridiculous synergies, charge beacons for permanent run stats, hunt down shops to buy more power, combine weapons into devastating evolutions, and most importantly, annihilate the hordes!

Play solo or jump into local split-screen co-op. Build around your own character, share the chaos, split up across the map, and try to survive together when the screen fills with chrome, bugs, and bullets.

Chrome Survivor currently has 11 playable Operators, each with their own starting weapon and passive identity. Some are straightforward. Some are weird. Some are probably a bad idea until they suddenly become the strongest thing you have ever played.

There are currently 15 base/special weapons and 14 weapon evolutions. Weapons evolve by combining specific level 8 weapons together. Not every weapon combines with every other weapon, so part of the fun is discovering what works, remembering what you found, and chasing those combinations in future runs.

There are over 100 items in the game, built to stack, collide, and create messy synergies. Poison builds, cold builds, crit builds, lightning chains, drones, explosions, defensive setups, and greedy scaling options.

Runs can be pushed harder in multiple ways. Psychosis increases enemy scaling and max spawns. Map modifiers can make a run more dangerous in exchange for better rewards. Completing maps unlocks higher difficulty tiers for players who want things to get out of hand faster.

Chrome Survivor also has a weather system that changes each run. Weather can buff or debuff different parts of the game. For example, Ashfall starts the run with a huge Psychosis boost, making things more dangerous right out of the gate.

So what is the point of all this extra loot?

Chrome Survivor has an essentially infinite Augment crafting system. Operators gain ranks based on run success and unlock Augment slots. Those slots can be filled with premade Augments you find through play or with Augments you craft yourself.

There are also 50+ achievements, many of which unlock new characters, items, and maximum cool points.

Chrome Survivor is still growing, and Early Access is where we get to build the wild version of this game with players. If you like bullet heavens, buildcrafting, broken synergies, local co-op chaos, and watching a run spiral into something completely unreasonable, we hope you’ll give it a shot.

Thanks for checking it out.

New map, New boss, New weapons!

Over the past month a lot of time has been spent on implementing a second map and a new Mega Boss for the end of it: Chrome Streets is the result of this endeavor. Not only this but we've also implemented a new base weapon, Force Gauntlets, a ricocheting fist. We've also added 6 new evolutions for several different weapons! Some include Absolute Zero Lance, Siege Protocol, Caustic Artillery, and more! There's also been many advancements with optimization improving overall FPS and reducing spikes to basically zero. Our To-do list still includes a few bugs we are slowly finding through the demo players and playing ourselves, we've been hammering away at plenty of them and new ones pop up every now and then, an endless battle! May have to rename the game to Bug Survivor. A new trailer has also dropped to replace the older one. There are now overall 37 weapons in the game! Base and evolutions. We've added recipe memory, so figuring out an evolution now has a reminder when seeing the base weapons for it as well when leveling up. We look forward to more demo players to leave feedback and let us know about any bugs they run into, thanks!

    Chrome Survivors First Big Update

What Changed:In this update, the Pallet of the game has shifted to a more grim setting. All of the colors mesh well together versus before being kind of all over the place. Animations have been added to nearly every weapon/effect in the game, aside from a few item effects that still need a pass. Animations have been normalized to similar quality as well to bring the art together. 2 New Base Weapons: Acid claws-Fast attacking claws that deal physical damage and have a high chance to apply poison DOT's, great for single target damaging. Frozen Steel-Become a Samurai with this new ice based Katana, slash and pierce dozens of enemies at once with high projectile count, leading to huge screen clear. 5 New "Chaos" Items: These items are meant to add to the fullscreen chaos, acquiring them will feel like another weapon that fires much less often, but could potentially create full screen chaos and fun if you find a few of them.Blackwall Maw- Chomp the battlefieldKillscreen Printer- Gain a chance to drop a giant Kill screen among a large cluster of enemiesTraffic God- Trains? Trains. Send random trains flying through crowds of enemies.Orbital Junkyard-Why are aliens sending garbage to our planet? This item drops orbital junk straight into the fold, dealing damage in areas.Skyblade-It's raining swords now! 2 New Evolutions: Tox Shocks-A Large charging lazer that applies fast stacking poison DOTS and chaining Acid Lightning. All around great damage Glacial Hammers-Replace HammerDrones with large Ice Hammers that smash enemies they collide with and slam the ground creating Ice Shards that pierce all enemies. 1 New Operator:Ryu-The way of the Samurai lives on in Ryu, who's base weapon is Frozen Steel. Ryu starts with +1 dodge charge.UI Overhaul:The user interface has been overhauled to look much better. This is still very much a WIP and could really use feedback on whether the main menu screen is cool with the draggable operators, or just very annoying. I'm trying to get around ...
