About this game
Open the Door to Destiny and Forge Your Path!
Dungeon Door is an action RPG that blends the nostalgia of classic 2D pixel art with the intense thrill of a modern roguelike. Awakening in the dark depths of an unknown dungeon, you must rely solely on your sword and shield to explore an ever-changing underground world.
Key Features
Sophisticated 2D Pixel Action: Experience a modern reinterpretation of classic pixel art inspired by the golden era of retro RPGs. Feel the impact of every swing with precise directional attack animations based on where your character faces.
The Ever-Changing Dungeon: A new world awaits behind every "Door." Randomly generated map structures, diverse enemy placements, and unexpected treasures demand fresh strategies for every run.
Master the Balance of Offense and Defense: It's not just about swinging your sword. Strategic combat is at the core of the experience—read enemy patterns, block with your shield, and strike during that split-second opening to deliver a fatal blow.
Challenge, Die, and Grow: Death is not the end, but a new beginning. Use the experience and loot gathered from your explorations to become an even more powerful hero.

Dungeon Door — v2.26.0
🪓 Axeman 2nd Advancement All four classes now have full advancement paths. At Lv40 the Axeman can specialize: - Berserker — a reckless, HP-fueled bruiser. Its signature Blood Rage scales attack and lifesteal higher the more HP you've lost — near death, your damage more than doubles. - Stormaxe — a mobile crowd-clearer. Its signature Cyclone spins a wide AoE and hurls axes in all 8 directions, shredding swarms. 💀 New Mode: Endless Survival A standalone arena mode built for the "just one more run" itch. Launch it from the main menu with any class. - Endless escalating waves — hold out as long as you can; difficulty auto-scales to your power. - Augments (arena-style power picks) — every draft, start and mid-run, offers 1 of 3 build-defining augments from a pool of 17: transforms like Titan, Glass Cannon, Speedster, Vampire, Berserker's Pact, Bullet Storm, Detonator, Frost Aura, plus stackable boosts (Overpower, Frenzy, Vitality, Regeneration, and more). - Persistent survivor — your survivor character keeps its level between runs; your highest level reached is saved (gear stays run-only). - Score & personal best, restart-or-quit results screen, and a Level-up now fully restores HP and SP. 🏛️ Arena Terrain The arena is no longer a flat empty box — each run scatters pillars and cover (blocks, short walls) to kite around and funnel enemies through. Center and spawn ring stay clear; every layout is different. ⚙️ Quality & Balance - Skills cost far less SP in the arena; a new Infinite Stamina Potion (drops in Survival, hold up to 5) grants unlimited SP for 10s. - Early Survival waves no longer spawn bosses. - Fully localized in all 5 languages (EN/KO/JA/ZH/RU).Read full article on Community Announcements (suitable8111)Patch NotesOfficial
New-Player Onboarding — Contextual Tutorial Tips
New-Player Onboarding: Contextual Tutorial Tips Getting started in Dungeon Door is now much friendlier. Instead of dumping a wall of hint text into the message log on floor 1 (which most players never read), the game now teaches you exactly when each situation first comes up. Learn as you play A clear tip card slides in at the bottom of the screen the first time you hit each moment — and only once, ever: your first move your first enemy your first usable skill your first time low on HP spotting the exit door picking up your first item Now covers town & life content too The same gentle, one-time tips now guide you through your home base: first time near a farm plot, ranch pen, or riverbank first visit to the merchant, blacksmith, or storage chest Your call Prefer to figure things out yourself? Toggle Tutorial Tips: ON/OFF anytime in the pause menu. With tips off, the classic one-line hint summary shows on floor 1 instead. Fully localized in all 5 supported languages. Good luck down there — the door is waiting.Read full article on Community Announcements (suitable8111)Patch NotesOfficial
Dungeon Door - v2.18.2 release note
🎵 Music Overhaul: New Themes + Dynamic Combat Music New Main Menu & Town Music The main menu now has a darker, more atmospheric theme — deep sub-bass drone and unsettling half-step tension instead of the previous bright, heroic tune. The town theme is livelier too, with a bouncier low end for a proper "bustling home base" feel. Dynamic Combat Music (all 20 dungeon themes + boss fights) This is the big one: dungeon music no longer just switches between fixed tracks. Every dungeon theme now layers a calm ambient track and a tense combat track simultaneously, and the game live-crossfades between them based on how many enemies are near you — the music organically intensifies as a fight builds and settles back down once the area is clear, instead of abruptly jumping between tracks. Boss fights get their own version of this: a third "enrage" layer fades in as the boss's HP drops, so the music gets more frantic the closer you get to victory (or death). Under the hood All music remains fully procedural (synthesized in code, no audio files bundled with the game) — so the very first launch after this update may take a little longer while the new tracks are generated, but they're cached afterward and load instantly on every future launch.Read full article on Community Announcements (suitable8111)Patch NotesOfficial
Dungeon Door — Development Summary (v2.18.0)
⚔️ Advanced Class Overhaul All six second-tier classes got reworked signature skills and bug fixes: - Dual Blade — Flash Dash now pierces every enemy in its path with a wide area finisher on landing. - Magic Swordsman — new W skill Elemental Burst: random elemental blasts (lightning/fire/water/wind) around the caster. - Crossbow Master — Evasive Load (W) now slashes anything it rolls past, then primes the next shot for a guaranteed crit + stun; basic attacks and Power Shot (D) now always auto-lock onto the nearest enemy (including diagonals), and fire ice arrows that slow. - Twin Bow — visibly fires two arrows per shot. - Speed Mage — true instant blink restored for W (walls ignored), SP cost almost free; new D skill Arcane Barrage (rapid bolt volley). - Battle Mage — close-range magic burst retained as designed. - Warrior — Annihilator (R) nerfed: SP cost drastically reduced instead of fully free. 🌀 New Ultimates - Archer — R: Deadeye — 14s of auto-homing basic shots, near-zero SP cost. - Archer — Ctrl+R: Arrow Windmill — 30-second channel, arrows spin outward every ~0.6s striking everything visible. - Mage — R: Magic Vortex — a black hole that follows the caster for 30s, drags in and instantly absorbs nearby enemies, then detonates for damage scaled by how many it consumed (press R again to detonate early). - Mage — Ctrl+R: Inferno — kept as the class's bigger, later-unlocked ultimate (keys swapped with Vortex). 🌾 Life Content Expansion - Fishing — every catch now rolls a real length/weight, biased toward normal size with a chance at a big one; personal bests trigger a 🏆 NEW RECORD banner. - Farming & Ranching — harvests and animal produce now roll weight/quality too (Normal → Legendary), with matching gold bonuses and personal-best tracking. - Life Codex (press C at the angler, farm plot, or ranch pen) — three tabs (Fish / Crops / Ranch) tracking discovery, catch counts, and records. 🧭 Town Guide A new Town Guide NPC stands right by the portal — talk to them for ...Read full article on Community Announcements (suitable8111)Patch NotesOfficial
## v2.17.0 — Advanced classes fight differently (Phase 2)
## v2.17.11 — Magic Vortex follows you, keys swapped - **Magic Vortex** now follows the mage instead of staying fixed where it was cast, and pressing its key again while it's active detonates it early (same payoff, just on demand instead of waiting out the full 30s). - **Mage ultimate keys swapped**: **R is now Magic Vortex** (unlocks earlier), **Ctrl+R is now Inferno** (the bigger, later-unlocked ultimate). ## v2.17.10 — Speed Mage blink restored, Mage gets Magic Vortex - **Speed Mage — W** is back to a true blink (walls ignored, instant teleport) instead of the Flash Dash dash added in an earlier patch; SP cost stays almost free. - **Mage — Ctrl+R: Magic Vortex** (new): summons a black hole for 30s that drags in every nearby enemy — anything pulled to the center is instantly absorbed and dies. When the vortex collapses, it detonates, dealing damage to everything still in range scaled by how many enemies it absorbed. ## v2.17.9 — Crossbow Master: always-homing shots - **Crossbow Master** — basic attack (Space) now **always** auto-locks onto the nearest enemy, not just right after Evasive Load (W). The guaranteed-crit+stun bonus still only applies during the primed window. - **Crossbow Master — Power Shot (D)** now auto-aims at the nearest enemy too (including diagonals — it precisely tracks the real angle instead of snapping to a wrong cardinal direction) and fires ice arrows that slow. ## v2.17.8 — Evasive Load now deals damage - **Crossbow Master — Evasive Load (W)** now slashes anything it rolls into or lands next to, dealing immediate damage on activation (previously it was a pure repositioning skill with no direct damage, unlike the other advanced classes' W skills). The guaranteed-crit follow-up shot is untouched. ## v2.17.7 — Crossbow Master fix & Annihilator nerf - **Crossbow Master** — the guaranteed-hit shot after *Evasive Load* (W) no longer requires line of sight to lock on; it was frequently finding no valid target (and silently falling back to a norma...Read full article on Community Announcements (suitable8111)
