[Blosharper] Early Access v1.1 Update: Recollections Restored, Prices Reset

Blosharper Early Access v1.1 Update Hello, Sharpers! With today's update, Blosharper steps up to v1.1. The tempering toward full release continues — and this step moves in two directions at once: honest prices at the table, and everything you have already lived through back where it belongs. Balance From Act 3, falling costs you the bank as well: One rule changes when Act 3 opens — from that point on, being taken down claims not just the coin in your purse but whatever you left at the bank. You will not walk into it blind: the table tells you as Act 3 begins, and the moment you fall it shows you exactly how much was collected. Your opponent actually plays their deck: Opponents used to fall back on the same instincts no matter what deck they held. They now play to the character of the deck in their hands, so a different deck means a different game. Twelve skills, repriced: six moved up in price and tier (Cornering the Market · The Syndicate · Awaken: Firepower Maniac · Bomb Aficionado · Double-Pi Aficionado · Pi Aficionado), and six moved down (Winning Streak · Awaken: Nature's Blessing · Awaken: Arcane Mastery · Awaken: Wanderer · Awaken: Emperor of Pi · Garden of Pi). The price now matches what each one actually does at the table. Level caps move with the tiers: a skill that moved up now caps at a lower level, and one that moved down caps higher. If you had already leveled past a new cap, it adjusts itself the moment your save loads — nothing for you to do. When a skill counts Pi, Double-Pi does not count: skills that count Pi in your deck or among the cards you have played used to treat Double-Pi as Pi in some places and not in others. That is settled now — Pi means Pi, everywhere. The bar that opens Garden of Pi was re-set to match the new count, so on ordinary decks it opens and closes just as it did before — though stacking Double-Pi to force it open no longer works. The skills' descriptions have been updated to match what they truly count. Interest Play pays o...

[Blosharper] Early Access v1.0 Beta: A Lower Bar to the Table

Blosharper Early Access v1.0 Beta Update Hello, Sharpers! With today's update, Blosharper enters its v1.0 beta — the final stretch on the road to release. This update has one direction: lowering the bar to the table. Newcomers learn each hand the moment they make it, the curious get to watch the game play itself, and long-time Sharpers get their hours back — on the record. And while this beta was being tempered, the table picked up a new sound — the people at it now have voices. The People at the Table Have Voices A breath on the speech bubble: as a character's line appears, a short sound of theirs now lands with it — a sigh, a laugh, a grunt. It is not a voice reading the lines; not a single word is spoken. Just a piece of breath laid over the text — and that one piece changes the air at the table. A first step: not every moment has its sound yet. This is the first batch, and we intend to keep adding and refining — the table will only get more alive from here. Learn Each Hand the Moment You Make It The best teacher is the hand you're holding: the first time you complete a scoring hand, a guide appears in a quiet moment — the cards, how to remember them, the score, and how to use it. No separate lessons; you learn at the table you're playing. Six representative families: Bright, Ribbon, Animal, Monthly Pair, Monthly Set, and Junk — one guide per deal, at most once per round, so the flow of play is never interrupted. Rain is called out separately: some hands score differently when the Rain cards are involved — one way costs you, the other pays. The two run in opposite directions, so each gets its own note. Review anytime: every hand you've learned can be revisited from the hand-ranking chart. Seasoned Sharpers can turn Hand Guides off in the settings. Step Away, and the Table Runs Itself A real game, live: leave the title screen idle for a while and a game starts on its own. It's not a recording — it's live play on a freshly shuffled deck every time, and the one hold...

[Blosharper] Early Access v0.9 Update Notes: New House Rules

Blosharper Early Access v0.9 Update Announcement Hello, Sharpers! The v0.9 update for Blosharper is an update devoted to the table itself. The back-alley bank changes its rules, seven new skills hit the table, one sleight-of-hand finds its own color, and your best records now open up to show what's behind them. We've corrected long-standing scoring errors, and re-read every one of the seven languages from the source text up. New House Rules — The Storage Fee The Age of Interest Is Over: The bank no longer pays interest on your deposits. Come to think of it, a back-alley bank was never going to offer deposit protection. Be grateful they keep it safe at all. The Storage Fee: Instead, every time a run begins, the bank skims a storage fee proportional to what you've entrusted to it. The old entry fee is replaced by this — the bigger your fortune, the bigger the cut the house demands. Down to the Last Coin: Fixed small leftover debt being impossible to pay off. Dragging the amount slider all the way now fills in the exact total, down to the last uneven coin. Palming, Reworked Quantity and Skill, Split Apart: Palming and Tan both opened the same candidate picker, so the two blurred together. Now Tan is the technique of quantity — you pick from several candidates yourself — while Palming is the technique of skill: one card, swapped on the spot, aimed for you. Sharpen It: Leveling it up raises both the uses per round and the odds of landing the card you were after — and those odds are shown to you, not hidden. See the Swap Happen: Fixed the highlight on the card you snagged and the send-off of the card you traded away both failing to show. The moment of the switch is now yours to watch. Seven New Skills Three That Push the Score: Seven new skills join the pool. Offbeat stacks a multiplier the more you switch up the rhythm of your plays, Hot Hands builds one for every consecutive hand backed by a technique, and Jack of All Trades turns your accumulated technique training its...

[Blosharper] Early Access v0.8 Update Notes: The Story Deepens

Blosharper Early Access v0.8 Update Announcement Hello, Sharpers! The v0.8 update for Blosharper is an update devoted to the story this game has been holding back. The late chapters of the journey have been greatly expanded with new encounters and events, and every story scene in the game has been rewritten from scratch — new stagecraft, new prose. Alongside it: revamped record screens, dice that finally move like dice, and an optimization pass that makes the whole game lighter. The Story Deepens — Late-Chapter Expansion New Encounters: In the late chapters that only deep-running Sharpers reach, a wave of new story scenes awaits. A familiar place may be where an unfamiliar bond begins. Events in Motion: Where that bond leads is something you should witness for yourself, hand after hand. Some moments may arrive before you are ready for them. We'll Say No More: The biggest piece of this update is deliberately not written here — it would spoil it. Those of you who go deep will know. The Story, Rewritten New Stagecraft: Story scenes now distinguish narration, action, and dialogue in how they are presented. The same scene reads far better than before. A Literary Pass: Every narration line in the game has been polished with a literary hand. The short, dry scenes of the early chapters were rewritten from the script up. The Voice of Information: Every piece of information sold at the apothecary has been re-voiced to match its speaker, corrected where it strayed, and joined by fresh rumors. Some rumors may even open the door to a new deal. All 7 Languages: The entire overhaul is reflected across all seven supported languages. Translation Quality Pass: Beyond the story, we reviewed the game's text across the board — unifying inconsistent terminology in each language and fixing mistranslations and untranslated lines throughout. Records of the Journey An Epilogue of Your Own: The closing screen that plays when a journey concludes now carries its own title and inscription depend...

[Blosharper] Early Access v0.7 Update Notes: Hwatu Deck Customization

Blosharper Early Access v0.7 Update Announcement Hello, Sharpers! We are excited to bring you the v0.7 update for Blosharper — one that changes how you build a run from the ground up. The centerpiece is Hwatu Deck Customization. Tune your deck toward the combinations you intend to chase, and that specialty's final multiplier climbs higher and higher as the rounds go deep. Alongside it come the Full and New Moon synergies, a brand-new boot sequence, and UI work that finally makes your growth numbers readable at a glance. Hwatu Deck Customization — Commit to a Strategy Four Decks: Equip one of the Standard Deck, the Gwang/Joker Deck, the Animal/Ribbon Deck, or the Month/Ddaeng Deck. Multipliers That Escalate: A customized deck amplifies your final multiplier in proportion to the round whenever you complete a combination in its specialty. The edge is slight early on, but the deeper you survive, the more it decides the match — this is the key to the late-game wall that has been stopping your runs. What Will You Give Up?: Specialization has a price: cards of the opposing suit score less. Choosing a deck is also choosing what to abandon. Skill Alone Is a Valid Path: The Standard Deck carries no specialty buff at all. Going the distance on nothing but your own hands is, and always will be, a legitimate way to play. Applied Next Round: To keep mid-round scoring from being distorted, a newly chosen deck takes effect when the next round begins. The UI shows both your active deck and the one you have queued. An Off-the-Books Offer: Deck customization is not handed to you at the start. It is taught only through an offer you will receive at the apothecary once your journey runs deep — and the right to refuse remains entirely yours. We'll let you discover that encounter for yourself. Buff Panel Integration: Your active deck's buff — and its multiplier at the current round — is displayed live on the in-game buff panel. Moonlight Synergy: Full Moon and New Moon Moonlight on the 8-G...
