About this game
Pucked Up is a hockey-inspired, team-focused deckbuilder. Take the reins as GM of the worst team in a league filled with oddball players and staff, then build and guide your squad through a grueling 10-game season. Your ultimate goal? Survive the relentless competition, make the playoffs, and hoist the championship cup.
Draft Your Dream Squad
Between games, recruit from dozens of unique Coaches, Players, and Goalies. Every choice matters—each roster spot brings distinct stats and game-changing abilities that alter how your team performs on the ice.
Featuring
Over 100 possible staff options (Players, Coaches, Goalies)
20+ Opponents
60+ "Plays" that can be added to your deck
20+ Upgrade Badges that can be used on your cards
3 deck upgrade types (badges, add a random card, copy a card from your deck) selected randomly between games
Build a Championship Playbook
Your deck is your playbook. Between matchups, fine-tune your strategy by purchasing powerful new cards, recycling the dead weight, and slotting in crucial upgrades. When the puck drops, deploy your playbook each period to give your players the tactical edge they need to blow past the competition.
Cards range from standard Offense and Defense boosts, goalie specific (Wall & Save) buffs, turning off Opponent abilities, adding funds to your team, and much more!
Adapt or Get Blown Out
No two seasons are the same. Face off against a randomized schedule of ruthless opponents, each sporting unique, "cheat-like" abilities that warp the game state. To make the playoffs, you’ll need to scrape together 13 points (2 for a win, 1 for a tie).
Each season has a schedule of 10 games (pre playoff) against a randomized selection of Opponents, leaving each run with a new set of challenges to overcome.
But beware: the league adapts to you constantly.
Play too defensively? Opponents will crank up the pressure and overpower you with raw offense.
Go all-out attack? They’ll lock it down and eliminate your scoring lanes.
Your Opponents may be cheating, but you can too!
Can you out-draft, out-play, and out-smart the league? It's go time.
That's Pucked Up!

Demo v0.2 Update
First off, a huge thank you to anyone who has already tried out the v0.1 demo! This update is mostly to bring that build closer to the full version of the game releasing later this year. As progress has been made there were many small things added that felt like they needed to also be included in the current public demo. In no particular order, here are all the changes made in the v0.2 build.v0.2 Patch Notesadded a button in the "team management" screen that allows the player to see all cards currently in their playbookhovering over the basic coach/goalie/players will now show you their attributesplaybook cards in packs now have a chance to spawn with a badge upgrade already on thema skip button has been added to the between game team upgrade screenthe end of period scoring system has been streamlined making the process much quicker while including new visual and audio cuesALL remaining AI generated music has been REMOVED leaving the build completely free of generative AI (this was the most important one)As the release of Pucked Up comes closer (as well as the October Next Fest) there will likely be further updates to the demo to keep it in line with the full release so the feel of gameplay stays as similar as possible. Again thank you to anyone who tried the previous build, I hope you'll give this one a shot as well to see what's new!Sincerely,JefeRead full article on Community Announcements (37Unicorns)
