About this game
Dive into the Void.
The Void waits for no one. Pilot your ship through minimal arenas, dodge waves of dynamically generated enemies, and shape — run after run — the build that takes you further. VOID RUNNER is a precision-tuned arcade roguelite: every death teaches you something, every score on the global Top 10 dares you to surpass it.Inspired by bullet hells, twin-stick shooters, and modern roguelites, VOID RUNNER stakes everything on mastery. Each run starts from zero: pick your skills between waves, adapt to dynamically generated enemies, manage fatigue and scoreboard pressure. The meta-upgrades of Infinite Mode persist, letting you push further and further — if you have it in you. How far will you go?
Features

- 28 unlockable skills with a T1–T5 evolution tree — multi-shot, taser, Nexus drone, frost, poison, vamp, execute, and more.

🌌 v0.87 - Campaign groundwork and UI polish
🌌 The campaign now opens one world at a time. Worlds are no longer all available upfront: each one unlocks once you meet its condition, shown right on its card. Worlds you have already played stay open, nothing is taken back. 🌌 A locked world hints, it does not tell. Name, difficulty and zone count stay visible so you can plan ahead. Its flavour waits until you open it. ⚔️ Endless wave 80: the bonus was missing. The wave 80 milestone was skipped by mistake and you finished the wave with nothing. It is back, alongside those of waves 60, 70, 90 and beyond. 🎨 A fuller tutorial. Four new steps cover the eight skill slots, the exit gate, picking up XP, and the re-roll, tried once for real and free of charge. 🐛 No more announcements swiped away. When several cards landed on the same gate crossing, one tap too many closed one you never saw, and could pick a milestone bonus for you. They now come one at a time. 🎨 The world carousel has ends. The list has a start and a finish, and the arrows go dark instead of wrapping around. Enjoy the Endless.Read full article on Community Announcements (n4pkin)Patch NotesOfficial
🎨 v0.86 - Run history and reworked screens
⚔️ The exit is always reachable — level generation now guarantees a corridor wide enough for your ship all the way to the gate. No more cleared zones where the only path was blocked by a destructible nothing could reach. ⚔️ Endgame boons — their counters reset at the start of every run. They used to carry over, and once capped a boon would vanish from the draw for good. 🎨 My runs — a tab in the scores screen lists your recent games, including those that didn't beat your record, and your last five show up before you launch a run. 🎨 Reworked upgrade screen — clearer tabs, a branch row you can scroll directly, and full gamepad navigation. 🎨 A living main menu — ships drift across the background, and the menu stays still until the return transition finishes instead of animating under the iris. 🐛 Save and quit — the button could silently do nothing and cost you the run. Fixed. 🔧 Smoothness — less work per frame during play, and the DPS readout in Infinite Mode is finally correct. Enjoy.Read full article on Community Announcements (n4pkin)Patch NotesOfficial
⚔️ v0.85 - Endgame boons and reworked skills
⚔️ Endgame boons — Once all 8 skill slots are full, the hand no longer shrinks: five boon cards take over. Full Repair, Power Surge (+5% damage), Cooling (-5% cooldowns), Celerity (+5% speed) and Pact (+8% damage for -10% max HP). They take no slot and stack up to their own caps. ⚔️ Heal is gone — The one-shot Heal card leaves the level-up draw; Full Repair, at the end of a build, is what patches the hull now. ⚔️ Berserker reworked — No more two-step threshold asking you to camp under 25% HP for a lukewarm payoff. One threshold now, under 50% HP: full fire rate and +20/30/40% damage by rank. The risk pays off properly. ⚔️ Skills that follow your build — Acid deals a percentage of shot damage, so it scales with the Damage skill; Magnetism's stack cap rises per tier (+20/30/40%); and the Taser's cooldown finally benefits from fire rate outside Nexus Mode. On the other side, mortars go from 30 to 50 damage at tier 1: their zone is telegraphed four seconds ahead and stepping out costs under a third of a second, but standing in it now hurts. 🐛 Star ship — Its death animation no longer holds back the end of the zone or its XP orb: everything is paid out on the killing blow. 🎨 Cards and Info tab — Skill cards now compare the same unit on both sides of the arrow, with no repeated label and no overflowing line. The Info tab shows your REAL totals, meta bonuses, ship upgrades and boons included: a maxed player used to read ×2.00 while hitting for ×2.55. A cooldown row joins the list. 🎨 Readability — The music player no longer slides off screen on every track change; the title cross-fades in place and the muted state reads at a glance. Berserker and Force Field tiles now read as gauges rather than cooldowns. The purple floor crystals step back: they looked like obstacles. 🎵 Atmosphere — The Inferno Mode announcement at wave 51 arrives in complete silence on a single sweep, with the music returning once you are back in the fight. And quitting the game opens a space vortex that ...Read full article on Community Announcements (n4pkin)AnnouncementsOfficial
🎨🎵 v0.84 - Your feedback, in sights and sounds
This update comes almost entirely from what you told us. 🎨 Redrawn skill icons — every skill now has its own icon, and slots stay put: a new skill lands at the end instead of slotting into the middle and shifting everything under your eyes. 🎨 Animated transitions — the menu, the mode select and the arena now flow into each other instead of cutting. Returning to the menu has its own animation too. 🎵 New sounds — the title screen has audio, and player death, boss death and turrets each got their own sound. Still a work in progress, feedback welcome. 🎵 Now playing badge — current track, its artist and a small equaliser, in the menu and in game. You can finally look the music up. ⚔️ Resuming a saved run — it now goes through the loading screen, and one press cuts the 5 second countdown short. The time is still charged the same way: the shortcut hands you back control sooner, it does not make pausing free. 🎨 Keyboard and controller everywhere — every menu, window and confirmation can be navigated without a mouse, including the screens that still needed one. 🔧 Graphics default to Medium — on a fresh PC install only. Glows off, particles kept: most of the performance win without losing the visual feedback. Change it in Options. 🐛 Fixed — a set-aside Infinite run is no longer wiped when you go play a campaign level in between. Enjoy.Read full article on Community Announcements (n4pkin)Patch NotesOfficial
🔧 Polish and fixes
Menu navigation — keyboard, mouse, gamepad and touch now follow the same logic across every screen. Run saving — a suspended Infinite run could be lost when closing the game or switching windows. Fixed. Restart — restarting after a defeat or from the pause menu now goes through the loading screen, like a normal launch. Misc — interface tweaks and small fixes.Read full article on Community Announcements (n4pkin)
