Permanent progression and unlocks
Every run is different
Arcade Machine & Challenging mini-games with leaderboards
As the arena fills with bubbles, runs become increasingly chaotic. Stronger builds can trigger large chain reactions and explosions that completely change the pace of a run.
Different upgrade combinations lead to different playstyles. Some builds focus on survivability and consistency, while others are built around high-risk scaling and massive score bursts.
Extraction checkpoints become more valuable the longer a run survives. Staying longer gives access to stronger upgrades and higher rewards, but also increases the chance of losing everything before extracting.

Bubbly v0.8.2.0
NEW ARCADE GAME: FITTS PROTOCOL A new game on the bedroom arcade cabinet. No powers, no auto-pop - just you, your mouse, and bubbles that shrink away. Click the bubbles before they vanish. They appear full size and shrink to nothing. Click them yourself - the X Key works too.You have 3 lives. Click empty space and you lose one. Lose all three and the run ends. A rare Heal globe gives one back.Don't let too many escape. Every bubble that vanishes adds a mark under your lives. 10 marks cost a life. Every hit you land removes one mark.Build your combo. Every hit in a row adds +1x to your points (x2, x3, x4...). Reach rank SS++ and the board catches fire: your points double, and every hit now adds +2x instead. One missed click resets it all.Quick hits pay more. Click a bubble while it is still big and get 1.5x points.7 waves, then the storm. Each wave brings a new bubble type worth double the points. After the last wave they all mix together, faster and faster, until you fall.7 bonus globes. 2X Spawn, 2X Points, 2X Size and Immunity last 5 seconds each (grab another to extend). The Burger is an instant jackpot. The Heal gives a life back. The Skull is a trap - it takes points and breaks your combo, so let it fade.Made to feel good. Your cursor leaves a comet trail, every globe sends a wave across the board, gummy pops have the mythic crit sting, the fire creeps in from the edges, and your last life makes the heart monitor race.A full report at the end. Your score, your rank and how long you held it, accuracy, best multiplier, every bubble type and globe you got. Beating your own best or passing someone on the leaderboard is announced during the run.Its own leaderboard. Fitts uses points, not XP, so it has its own Steam board and does not affect your XP records or unlocks.Safe pause. Middle-click pauses and locks your cursor in place, so unpausing never causes a missed click. Changes Arcade games are cheaper. A coin now costs at most 10 mystery globes instead of 44. Bubbly v0.8.1.3
Changes Helix Discovery: Nuclear Power is now truly nuclear - the blast wave hits every bubble, boss and mine with double your damage and can crit, and it burns away enemy fire - drone lasers, golden coins and spine mines no longer sail through a detonation Helix Discovery: the mushroom cloud got a visual pplishment Helix Discovery: your main weapon now stands out from your extra guns - it draws bigger and its aim line is thicker, so you always know which one you are aiming Project Poltergeist: Neutrinos now shimmer with a rainbow body Bubbly Arcade: the cabinet shows a game strip under the screen - one lit channel per game with its year, sorted newest discovery first, so you can see every game at a glance Bubbly Arcade: the deck got proper labels - exit and start under the buttons, and the joystick controls printed beside the stick Bubbly Arcade: "Your Best" on each leaderboard now takes that game's colors, and your record gets the rainbow or fire treatment when you are in the top 3 or INF Fixes Bubbly Arcade: flicking the joystick slightly off-axis no longer triggers the wrong action - changing game can no longer accidentally flip the leaderboard page Helix Discovery: the DNA strand between fused weapons now fits and connects cleanly into the weapon slots instead of floating between themRead full article on Community Announcements (VorteX)Patch NotesOfficial
Bubbly v0.8.1.2
Fixes HELIX DISCOVERY - fixed a freeze on death. Getting hit at the exact moment you picked a power (the Medkit especially) could leave the run stuck with the clock still running. The board now holds the instant you click for a power, so your heal is always instant, and a run that ends always reaches the results screen. HELIX DISCOVERY - the boss trophy globe now drops when that boss dies. If a long fight ran into the next boss's arrival, the first boss's globe was held back - and lost if you fell to the second one. HELIX DISCOVERY - Helix Bolt now chains into bosses properly, and Prism Lance can ricochet off bosses. HELIX DISCOVERY - damage numbers stay on a moving boss instead of trailing behind it. Changes The Blade - Hard and Insane rebalanced: those difficulties don't have the slots for a crit build. Hard now ends at 2.5M XP, Insane at 5M. Easy unchanged. HELIX DISCOVERY - bonus globes drop from 5% of pops, but 7% from empowered bubbles - hunting the stronger bodies feeds your loot. HELIX DISCOVERY - bosses have slightly more health now that the chain and lance reach them. HELIX DISCOVERY - the core's hit sound climbs in pitch as you take hits in a row, and settles back after a moment of calm. HELIX DISCOVERY - the sidebar stays on screen behind the run report, and the power description card sits higher, clear of the choices below it. HELIX DISCOVERY - health readouts show just your current HP. PROJECT POLTERGEIST - Astra Flash and Harmony grant twice as much (+2% of your total per event), and Comet stars pay +4% each. Arcade - power descriptions now read like the main game's: weapon, power and mutation names are bold in their own colors, and the key words and numbers are highlighted - in both HELIX DISCOVERY and POLTERGEIST.Read full article on Community Announcements (VorteX)Patch NotesOfficial
Bubbly v0.8.1.1
Changes The Spine and The Core were re-tuned on every difficulty - The Core asks for far less XP at every gate, The Spine's later gates rise to meet it, and the old x24 wall between them is now a gentle step. Blood Feast and Full Flood are Easy-only. The Vampire's empowered blood and The Ball's pre-flooded board now exist only on Easy - Hard and Insane play them straight. The Legendary and Mythic planners doubled. Pearl grants +20% spawn speed and Feedorb +20% crosshair size per extraction checkpoint (were +10%), and Maxuble compounds +10% total XP gain per checkpoint (was +5%). E-Pass finally shows its work. Picking it sends the pass flying to the required-XP readout, stamps it, and counts the toll down before your eyes. The game pauses when you alt-tab. No more bubbles popping and the crosshair drifting while you are in another window - focus loss freezes the run, refocus resumes instantly. Fixes Right-click no longer opens the menu at an extraction checkpoint. Spam-clicking for powers could carry into the gate and pop the options menu mid-decision. Choose Extract or Continue first; the menu is one ESC away after. The Vampire's run tracker and info card tell the truth. The tracker shows only its boss marker - no phantom 1/2/3 pins - with the bar climbing the whole run, and the info card's single gate marker sits at the end of the line. The location card behaves. It hides completely when your mouse leaves the monitor, and the difficulty buttons and PLAY answer your cursor with a soft hover chirp. The stats screen's Highest XP Gain record no longer snaps styles mid-count. Performance The game menu opens smoothly after loading. All shader compilation happens under the loading screens now instead of spilling onto the freshly opened menu.Read full article on Community Announcements (VorteX)Patch NotesOfficial
Bubbly v0.8.1.0
Changes Bubbles popped now bank when you Extract. Your lifetime pop count - and the achievements and power unlocks tied to it - grows at the moment you extract, matching everything else the run banks. A run lost to a game over or surrender banks nothing. Arcade mini-games no longer count toward lifetime pops; BUBBLEATHON does, on Extract, like the main game. Achievements pop the moment you earn them. Some achievements used to arrive all at once on your next launch. Every achievement now unlocks at its earning moment - and if you were owed any from before, they arrive on your first launch after this update. The TV, The Vampire and The Ball ask for less XP. The last three locations were a cliff rather than a climb. All three are eased on every difficulty; the pacing between them is unchanged. The Ball is a real fight now. It takes a fixed number of crosshair hits to bring down - your crit build cannot one-shot it, and nothing else can hurt it. Its dossier now says so: only crosshair hits shoot it down. The Vampire's darkness now covers your power-up choices too. Picking mid-attack is meant to be done under pressure - the crosshair's pool of light sits over the cards now, not under them. The arcade cabinet starts at 1 mystery globe. First play costs 1 (was 10), still +1 per finished run, still capped at 44. Poltergeist's boss entrance gets its moment every game. The Rift boss's slow-motion intro plays on the first boss appearance of every run, not just the first time you ever met it. Cowan-Reines is worth its rarity. Each of its four summoned neutrinos now counts as a real appearance - their values double one to the next (x2/x4/x8/x16) and the doubling sticks for the rest of the run. Genie Lover is a much bigger deal. Each of its 4 charges grants +2.5% multicast chance (was +1%) - and the card no longer appears before the Genie Lamp can actually multicast. HELIX weapon squares show their charges. Weapons read "LV n" plus the same charge pips every other pick wears. HEL...Read full article on Community Announcements (VorteX)
