About this game

Relax in Endless. Master Strategist and Two-Body if You Can.

Endless Snake starts with the snake you already know: eat apples, grow longer, and do not crash into yourself. Endless lets you keep it calm, settle into the rhythm, and play a clean one-handed run.

But if you think you have snake figured out, the harder modes are waiting.

In Strategist, you plan your route before you move. A good plan feels brilliant. A greedy plan can trap you before the snake even starts. It turns snake into a tactical puzzle where every committed turn matters.

In Two-Body, you control two snakes at once. One board, two bodies, one rising multiplier, and twice as many ways to ruin a perfect run. It is still snake, but now your focus has to survive on both sides of the board.

Pick Your Kind of Pressure

  • Endless is the chill mode. No strict timer, no build pressure - just you, the board, and one more apple.

  • Classic keeps the rules clean for pure high-score runs.

  • Strategist turns routing into planning, timing, and commitment.

  • Two-Body challenges your coordination by making you manage two snakes at the same time.

  • Journey Roguelite adds upgrades, boss fights, build choices, and long-term progression.

  • Challenges bring sharper goals through Time Attack, Daily, Weekly, Pure Score, and Boss Rush.

Score With Skill

Apples are more than points. Chain them for combo multipliers, cut close to danger for risk rewards, and use 15 apple types like magnet, slow, ghost, mystery, bombs, shrink effects, and score bursts to change how a run plays.

A casual run can stay smooth and simple. A serious run becomes a test of timing, routing, planning, and nerve.

Runs That Keep Changing

Journey Roguelite lets your snake grow in more ways than length. Pick upgrades, build around what you find, and adapt when a boss breaks your usual route.

The stricter modes are there when you want to prove something. Pure Score removes upgrades. Time Attack gives you 60 seconds. Daily and Weekly runs put everyone on the same seed. Boss Rush skips the warm-up and goes straight to the fights.

There are 10 bosses, unlockable skins and themes, replays, leaderboards, and 100 achievements, from easy first steps to goals that ask for real mastery.

One Hand. One More Run.

Steer with arrow keys or D-pad. Boost with one button.

Relax in Endless. Master Strategist. Survive Two-Body. Then try one more run.

Endless Snake update 19 July 2026 (and new game announcement)

I'm not the best in writing posts... so here are the updates of the last two months! Most of this came from the steam community hub: the round-10 boss, the Pure Score freeze, the round-9 wall, the goal panel over the board. Thank you for reporting all of it with enough detail that it could actually be found. Crashes and soft-locksThe round-10 boss is visible now, so it can no longer kill you out of nowhere. The boss's body was never drawn at all while its segments were still lethal, and it charged at three times your speed from an unchecked centre spawn. It now renders with eyes and an HP bar, spawns away from your head, shows a 1.5 second inert dashed telegraph before it turns dangerous, charges at 2x instead of 3x player speed, and the boss round runs 60 seconds instead of 90.Pure Score no longer locks up after round 1. Nothing in the game ever advanced Pure Score past its first round, so the run froze forever, which is why this was reported as a crash. Round completion now flows straight into the next round without an upgrade picker for modes that skip upgrades.Replays no longer freeze a few seconds in, and the fix repairs the ones you already saved. Starting a round by pressing the direction you were already travelling was discarded by the recorder, so playback stalled forever waiting at that round. The recorder now keeps that press, and the player supplies the current heading when playback starves. Watching a death also starts playing automatically, and the scrub bar reaches the true final moment.Shift+Tab brings up the Steam overlay on every screen, not just in a run. Menu and other non-gameplay screens stopped drawing frames, leaving the overlay nothing to appear over. A tiny presentation heartbeat now keeps the game presenting on every screen. Things covering the boardThe apples-needed panel no longer sits on top of the board. The fixed bottom-right goal panel floated over live cells at every resolution. It now docks in the left info rail above the build str...

🐍 Development never stopped! here's what's new in Endless Snake

I haven't posted here since mid-May, and I owe you an update, because Endless Snake has quietly had its busiest stretch yet. First though: thank you. Thank you for playing, for every review, and for the bug reports and suggestions. I read all of them, and a huge amount of what's below came straight from you. I don't post often, but the game hasn't sat still for a single day. Some of what's landed since my last update: 🧩 A deeper, fairer roguelite: the upgrade system was rebuilt around five distinct build paths (Combo, Speed, Phase, Marathon, Boost), and the card pool was pruned and re-priced using 1,300+ simulated runs, so dead picks are gone and every choice pulls its weight. ✨ Upgrades you can actually feel: effects that used to be silent now show up on screen, and your chosen opening style now drops its signature onto the board in round one instead of many rounds later. ⚡ Difficulty that keeps climbing: the late game no longer flattens out. The clock, the hazards, and the board itself keep tightening, so a deep run stays tense right to the end. 🎮 Full Steam Deck and controller support: every menu and in-run picker is now fully pad-navigable, with remappable skill and boost buttons, straight from a Deck player's request. 🏆 Every mode got attention: Boss Rush is now a proper accelerating gauntlet with its own fastest-clear board, there's a weekly route where everyone races the exact same apple sequence, Endless gained milestone beats between start and death, and Two-Body and Strategist got real scoring overhauls. 📅 Daily Challenge and streaks: keep a daily streak going for a growing XP multiplier, with streak-freezes so one missed day doesn't wipe it, plus a panel showing who else took on today's run. 💀 A smarter end-of-run screen: a slow-mo death-cam replays your final two seconds with the fatal turn marked, alongside a recap of where the run actually turned and how close you came to your next milestone. 🥇 Hall of Fame: one composite score across every mode, so al...
