Content notice: Slashbang has unrealistic, low poly, stylized graphics that depict extreme violence such as dismemberment and exploding heads via guns and sharp claws. This can all be done by the player, and is done in an exaggerated, comedic way. There is also some harsh language in dialogue that is not suitable for children.

About this game

Enter Slashbang, a narrative driven, movement-first first person shooter taking inspiration from games like Sonic Adventure, Jet Set Radio, and the Metal Gear series.
Speed through levels with a completely unique, custom tailored movement system, shoot and slice terrorists to pieces, and take part in a narrative adventure with intrigue, high tensions, and a comedic core.
NEW MOVEMENT SYSTEM - Based on design principles of Sonic games, Slashbang has more originality than just rocket jumps and bunny hopping. Drift around corners, dodge bullets in a blink, and run up walls. Easy to learn, hard to master!
DESTRUCTION - Slice through incoming bullets, props, and even enemies with Flynn's claws! Environments are destructible, and enemies can be shredded to pieces.
NONLINEAR PROGRESSION - Slashbang aims to have a somewhat nonlinear progression system without the down sides. Levels are hand crafted, and you can choose the order you tackle them to gain new weapons.
STYLE - With a unique low poly, toon shaded art style akin to Jet Set Radio, and a soundtrack by Reski that evokes Hideki Naganuma and Jun Senoue, Slashbang has sights and sounds that will keep you coming back to get faster times.
SUBSTANCE - Slashbang aims to have a gripping and funny story about absolute power and how it propagates. Join David, his Spector, Flynn, and a variety of other characters as they try to restore order to their city under military occupation.

Slashbang Vertical Slice 0.4 Revision 0.5 - OUT NOW!
Hi everyone! This is a somewhat major update to the Slashbang Vertical Slice with some gameplay changes! Hopefully they will make the game more fun.New alt fire functionality! In addition to the larger aiming reticle, the Crapshoot now is semi automatic! Holding the button will release more bullets at a higher ammo cost. It's really powerful!Improved bullet slicing! Slicing a bullet with Flynn's claws now is way more responsive, and you're not likely to get hurt anymore doing it.Removed a rock from the end of the first level to make game flow feel better. That's right - I said first level! I'm trying to finish up the new level for SAGE 2026, which I should be able to make in time. I hope to add a brand new level minimum, with a good chance of a new weapon and maybe a new mechanic. Hope to see you in 0.5!Read full article on Community Announcements (PowerUpT)AnnouncementsOfficial
