About this game

In Lumber Jax, every tree, boss, upgrade, relic, and prestige pushes you deeper into the woods. Start with simple clicks and humble tools, then grow into a powerful chopping machine with idle crews, critical hits, rare encounters, equipment drops, class bonuses, and long-term progression systems.

The forest will not stay calm forever. As you clear more worlds, new mechanics unlock, enemies grow stronger, and the game shifts from a simple clicker into a layered idle RPG about pushing further, prestiging smarter, and building the strongest lumberjack possible.

Chop, Upgrade, Repeat

Every enemy you defeat gives you resources to grow stronger. Upgrade your click power, build up your lumber crew, boost critical hits, and steadily push toward tougher worlds.

The further you go, the stranger the forest becomes.

Chop Through Hundreds of Worlds

Progress through forest biomes, defeat powerful bosses, and push deeper into increasingly dangerous versions of the world. Every milestone brings new challenges, rewards, and systems to master.

Click, Idle, or Build Around Both

Upgrade your chop power, hire a lumber crew, boost critical hits, and shape your playstyle around active clicking, idle damage, or a mix of both.

Choose Your Class

Pick a role that changes how you grow. Become a heavy-hitting active chopper, an idle-focused foreman, or a fortune-driven gatherer focused on rewards and economy.

Prestige and Grow Stronger

When the forest pushes back too hard, prestige to earn permanent power. Spend points across different upgrade paths and return stronger than before.

Find Gear and Relics

Collect axes, armor, accessories, and relics as you progress. Equip better items, salvage old gear, and keep improving your build.

Face Bosses and Claim Boons

Every major milestone brings a boss fight. Defeat bosses to earn powerful boons that can change your run and help you push further.

Discover Rare Encounters

Watch for special enemies, faeries, beetles, golden rewards, crystal encounters, and other surprises that can give your run a sudden boost.

Unlock More Systems Over Time

As you reach deeper worlds, new layers open up, including pacts, haven activities, relics, ascension tools, automation, and tougher versions of the forest.

Built for Relaxed Progression

Play actively, leave your crew working, come back stronger, and keep pushing your best world higher. Lumber Jax is designed for players who enjoy steady upgrades, satisfying numbers, and long-term progression.

How deep into the forest can you chop?

Feature Spotlight — Chop, Upgrade, Prestige, Repeat

Hey everyone! Today I wanted to show a bit more of what the core loop in Lumber Jax actually looks like.At its heart, Lumber Jax is about pushing through worlds, upgrading your lumberjack, defeating bosses, and deciding when it’s time to prestige for permanent power. The main loopChop through enemies and earn woodSpend wood on upgrades like Chop Power, Lumber Crew, crit chance, crit damage, and moreDefeat bosses every 25 worldsFind gear and relics as you progressPrestige to come back strongerPush deeper into harder enemy tiersActive or idle? You can play more actively by clicking, chasing crits, and grabbing bonus events — or lean harder into idle progress with crew upgrades and passive damage. As you get further in, more systems unlock, including pacts, relics, gear, haven activities, and automation tools. The goalLumber Jax is designed to feel simple at first, then gradually open up as you push deeper into the forest.I’m still polishing balance and pacing before launch, so feedback after release will be a big part of improving the game. Thanks again to everyone following along. If you like idle clickers, incremental upgrades, boss walls, gear drops, and permanent progression, I hope Lumber Jax will be your kind of game.
