About this game

Hold the line. Survive the horde. Together.

Swarmfall is a coop survivor-like in top-down 3D, built for up to four players.

The dark won't stop coming. There's nowhere to run. Pick a hero, choose your spells on the fly, hold the line until the boss arrives. Fall, get up, pick a new build, do it better. Each hero plays differently. Each map ends with a brutal boss. Bring friends.

The survivor-like, but coop.

🎮 Basic tips
- Auto-attacks fire on their own — focus on your spells (E + R)
- Mix actives + passives in your build
- Charge totems for optional challenges (bonus upgrades)
- In coop, split roles

🆓 Free. Made by one dev.

    SWARMFALL — Update

Thank you so much for playing SWARMFALL! 💛 This update is all about game feel: smoother multiplayer, better-balanced enemies and far more satisfying deaths. Grab your squad and dive in together! ⚡ Performance & netcode A big optimization pass, most noticeable for the host and during heavy waves: - 📉 Leaner networking — enemies now cost 12.5% less bandwidth to sync, and swarms are capped + culled off-screen. The result: less lag and desync in co-op. - 💬 Optimized damage numbers — damage popups are smoothed and sent over a lightweight stream: a big upload win for the host, and no more hitches when everything's getting hit at once. - 🧮 Streamlined damage math — a single pass over players on the host instead of two, so the CPU breathes during spikes. - ✅ Fewer stutters — lighter enemy loops and reduced memory pressure for a steadier frame rate. ⚖️ Enemy balancing A full stat overhaul for clearer, fairer fights: - 🎯 Recalibrated stats — every enemy is now tuned against a shared reference. The Graveyard skeleton lines up with the Forest one (hard maps stay hard by design, not by inflated stats). - 🧟 Toned-down Zombie — damage cut from 375 to 110, slightly faster: less punishing but still a threat. Manta, Rusher and Bat recalibrated alongside it. - 🌊 Healthier waves — enemy density now scales sub-linearly: +10% solo and +25% per player instead of flooding the screen the moment a second player joins. - 👻 Ghoul fixed — its arc combo hits harder (still a real threat), but it now keeps its distance and no longer walks right on top of you. - 🩸 Reworked lifesteal — now restores flat HP per kill (5 / 10 / 15 / 20) instead of a percentage of damage: far more predictable and reliable mid-swarm. 💥 New: enemy dismemberment - 🦴 Spectacular deaths — enemies now burst into chunks on death, flung outward before fading away. It's punchier, more satisfying... and it's free on performance (zero physics, pooled chunks — no FPS loss even on massive AOE). 🔧 Fixes - Fixed the enemy hit effect t...

    SwarmFall — a new chapter

Hi everyone, I'd rather be straight with you. SwarmFall was built entirely on my own, from scratch, using only free assets or art I made myself. It's my first game, and shipping it on Steam will always be something I'm proud of. Today I'm making a clear-eyed call. The market is saturated, and the game is held back by technical limits — chiefly its P2P multiplayer — that I can't realistically fix alone and with no budget. Rather than burn out on it, I'm choosing to focus on a new project, on stronger foundations. But SwarmFall lives on: • The game is taking part in the Ballistics Festival on June 8. • The Founder's Pack and all its cosmetics are now free, for everyone. Nothing left to buy — everything is unlocked for all players. • If the community grows, updates remain possible. For now, my energy goes into the next game.

    Into the Shadows

This update puts immersion front and center: a brand-new hero, reworked effects, a richer soundscape, and clearer combat than ever. --- ⚔️ NEW HERO — KASUMI, THE NINJA ASSASSIN A blade from the shadows joins the roster. Kasumi thrives on stealth, a lightning-fast dash, and rapid strikes to fall upon her targets before vanishing without a trace. 🎮 GAME DESIGN & IMMERSION - Several gameplay adjustments for a more immersive experience and punchier combat feel. - New dynamic third-person camera that pulls you right into the action. ✨ VISUAL EFFECTS - Reworked several VFX to deepen immersion. - Mini-boss attack indicators (Ghoul, Tank) now sit flush with the ground and render on top of other effects — you'll always see where to strike… and where to dodge. - End-boss cinematics re-framed for the new camera. 🔊 SOUND DESIGN - Added new sound effects for a livelier, more immersive atmosphere. 🎯 BOSSES - Patched boss hitboxes for fairer, more readable attacks. ⚖️ BALANCE - Pyron: base health increased by +50%. Far too fragile before — he now takes a hit like the fire bruiser he was meant to be. 🚀 PERFORMANCE & NETWORKING - Major CPU and network optimizations: smoother multiplayer and reduced bandwidth. 🛠️ FIXES & POLISH - Upgrade menu: the hero grid now displays and scrolls correctly (4 per row). - Various stability and polish fixes. ▎ Thanks for playing SWARMFALL — see you in the arena! 🔥
