LNR State of The Game - August 2026
Ding Dong and greetings and salutations fellow Loopers of the interwebs. School’s back in session, and as you know August tends to be a rather busy month for most, and for some reason the hottest August we’ve felt in a while… Nevertheless we’re back in action for August’s State of the Game! So let’s get cracking down on what’s been going on behind the scenes…To kick us off for the SOTG we have some rather fun changes and lore drops for the beginning portion of the game–without spoiling or giving it away have fun with this teaser. Who knows maybe Game Theory may like this; probably not though. And onto more awesome gameplay changes and additions we’ve given you guys a new platforming friend! Made with love for you to manifest and bounce around on. And yes, no other 3D Platformer has EVER made this. *Disclaimer: that was satireFurthermore–we’ve altered a Loop we deemed “bland” and reworked it into a more fun level with new puzzles to solve! All in an attempt to make the game feel more engaging and less repetitive. Now onto some polishing, we are proud to announce… for the first time… Arie SMOOTHLY goes back and forth from the corner to the middle! This change was because he was sometimes hard to keep track of on the screen. And finally Maya was given some more personality with tons of new animations for manifesting and other interaction moments in the game to improve the games feel!Andddd…. That’s not all. We tend to prefer not to share many updates of the W̷̉̔̋̚a̴͌́̾̀r̸̘̒̚d̶̬͑̓̈́e̴͋͒̇̄ṋ̵̈́͛̑ but we’d like to share just a snippet of info. Ĭ̴̲̝̣t̵̿͒̒͝'̴̛͙́͗s̷̀̆̎̆ been growing more powerful. Thanks to the many loops you’ve all fed Ĭ̴̲̝̣t̵̿͒̒͝ of course. No further comment.Adding one more super secret addition to the SOTG, we’ve also been hard at work crafting a brand new area for a later section of the game… Also no further comment.ANDDDDDD now we’re done! Let’s move onto the PVI Employee of the Month! He’s a new guy but he’s buried himself in our hearts in the short time...Read full article on Community Announcements (Purple Void Studios)AnnouncementsOfficial

LNR State of The Game - June 2026
Hello and happy June fellow loopers! We hope everyone is enjoying themselves as much as we are this month. June has been on the lighter side of development for us at Purple Void; mainly polishing up a few things before diving back into the thick of it next month. Regardless, we’re still here to deliver you the June State of the Game, let’s dive right in!Beginning, we’ve made actually quite a big change to the game! We’ve valued our logo for the past 4 years, slowly updating it and revamping as development moves along. The logo that you’re used to seeing was our 2025 version. After much consideration and research we decided to take the logo down a different route. “But what does it look like?” Well here you go!Pretty sweet right? For a more detailed explanation we decided to change the logo to this for mainly one reason: the readability. The red text and darker colors have always been a staple to us for the logos–but they’re very hard to read, especially scaled down or in artwork. The new logo prevents that! Being easily readable with the white text and stroke around the headset. As a little bonus here’s a logo evolution, just for you.Focusing our attention to gameplay itself, we’ve gotten numerous feedback on the game having a “Dreamcore” esque feel to it. So… why not embrace it? We conducted a poll on our community discord to see if people wanted to see more dreamy elements in the main map! From the results we’ve added a few new galactic neighbors in the Purple Void. And finally to conclude June, we’re excited to show off more UI changes coming your way! (soon…ish)We’ve updated the inventory to fit with the new UI style–as well as structured it better than its last iteration! And what’s a new logo without updating the main menu too? Like the inventory, it has been updated to fit with the UI style.And…. that’s pretty much it for this month! We’re trying our hardest to get the full build out as soon as we can, and we appreciate the patience from all of you.Until then we...Read full article on Community Announcements (Purple Void Studios)AnnouncementsOfficial
LNR State of The Game - May 2026
Greetings and salutations fellow Loopers! We hope everyone is having an amazing month of May, and we hope to make it even better with LOOPs State of the Game. We have plenty to discuss such as new features, additions to already existing gameplay, and some news on where to find LOOP when it releases!Starting off, our Steam Page is up! This is an incredible advancement for us at Purple Void Studios, and we’re super excited to launch the full Beta Build soon on everyone’s favorite platform. The SOTG’s are also on Steam as well! (If you’re not already reading on Steam!)We’ve also released a new Teaser Trailer for the game as well!LOOP NEW REALITY | Teaser Trailer!Adding onto that, some of you Long Term fans may remember that the game’s title was “L00P: New Reality” not very noticeable or big–but we’ve renamed the game to “LOOP: New Reality” Subtle, but the reason behind this change was to make the game easier to find and search for.Shifting away from title switches, we’ve got some nice gameplay changes made this month! Starting with the reworked quickturn! The quickturn now features a smooth animation that plays instead of just jumping behind your view. For people who prefer it without the animation CAN turn of the animation in the settings for future reference!Continuing, the Anomaly Zones have had some love poured into them this month! Anomaly Zones now feature some pesky errors! These errors can vary from obstacles, to vision distortion, and many more that you’ll have to find throughout your playthrough. And yes, you CAN find the infamous Fish Error.Anomalies themselves also feature more polishing. Just for a cherry on top. Finally… NEW FEATURES! The Hub has received some upgrades this month in the form of the newly added GARDEN!The Garden is connected to the hub, throughout the game you can collect seeds from Manifested Grass and Flowers occasionally to plant at the Garden. These plants will grow and become harvestable throughout the loops, and can be used for Void Po...Read full article on Community Announcements (Purple Void Studios)AnnouncementsOfficial
LNR State of The Game - April 2026
Salutations Loopers! We’re excited to bring you some amazing news regarding the NEXT update for L00P New Reality, all packaged in the first of many… The State of the Game! April’s State of the Game’s gonna focus on what’s been going on behind the scenes at Purple Void Studios. Let’s dive in!Starting, we’re moving from Alpha to Beta! While subtle on the outside, this means big things on the inside. We’re trying to polish Act 1 in its entirety and create a more atmospheric, lore-rich game.A notable change we’ve made is swapping the Desktop Environment for a 3D Environment to better suit the game's story. On top of the Desktop Redo, we’ve also overhauled the ENTIRE UI. The previous icons and logos were hard to read and actually understand what you’re looking at. Also, moving away from flat minimalist icons and going for a more gradient and complex UI makes sense for the canon of the game. And we’ve even gone the extra mile and added the ability to change the Desktop Background! We’ve also made a valiant attempt to have a Universal UI Language for both the Desktop OS and the In-Game UI, to create a more coherent structure! That also includes the text box! Which has received a very nice refresh, fit with a Character Portrait.Speaking of characters, you may find Dr. Wexler to sound a little different when the Beta Version launches–No further comment. In other news, the New Reality system is breathed with new life this update, with some atmospheric neighbors joining the main map, and for some reason… yells at you? That’s all the main content we’ve got to showcase to you this Month. That’s not all, though! We’re still hard at work delivering you new lore and features that’ll be revealed to you in the upcoming months! So, when can you expect the FULL BETA version to be released? While we originally intended for this release to be a minor polishing update, it has since blossomed into a full-on major update for the game. With that in mind, the Release Date is in the air right now. ...Read full article on Community Announcements (Purple Void Studios)
